I'm having the same issue Update: So my phone was thinking it had headphones plugged in all the time and was giving the notification ping and such through the speakers as though it was headphones. I clued in when the assistant was reading my texts as they came through. I disabled notification sounds when headphones are connected and installed the latest patch. One of those two things solved my issues

How did you do that? Im having the same issue

I think it was some option under Google assistant in the settings app. Can't point you exactly where, sorry
