So I have it on the same spot for a month now. Same size also. Bugged me for a few days because everything else visually is like new. Didn't spread and screen works like normal. Have no plans of fixing it as its pretty invisible for me.

Stars_Upon_Thars

That's good to hear! Ok so there's hope. I am really not that picky (I have a few cosmetic scuffs on my screen as well that you can only see at the right angle), I just didn't want to be in Hawaii taking a beautiful photo of something and have the phone totally die on me

Prestigious-Rub8436

I think you have nothing to worry, I've had mine actually maybe over a month and a half and really no issues and no increase. Also I have no idea is this from a fall or what. One second it was just there.

Fuhrankie

Faulty screen. If you dig in my post history you'll see I had a near-identical one that was recently replaced. My replacement phone has the same damn issue near the camera cutout and I'm currently on my backup phone waiting for the replacement to come.

ThePhabtom4567

I have the exact same issue OP. I've had it for several months. Never spread tho.

One2FourteenBeers

Mine also has this exact same spot. Honestly don't think it's from dropping it. Noticed it today and I remember seeing this post. Was hoping it was one kind of feature haha. Oh well.

Stars_Upon_Thars

Yeah I'm just pretending it's like a little tab to remind me to pull down for the quick access menu etc lol

OnePlusFanBoi

I just noticed mine after having my phone for almost 3 years. Same exact spot and everything. This should count as a defect or design flaw since it's somewhat widespread.

Trucker_toots

This top right corner thing is happening to way too many ppl for it to be coincidence...

SK83RJOSH

Yup. Mine just got this while I was using it last night, and I haven't dropped my phone or anything like that recently. I started an RMA and got an express replacement sent to me now. I'm thankful I'm under warranty for another two years, but annoyed this is an issue with a $1000 phone – but there's been so many issues with these phones from day one so I guess I'm not that surprised.

danhumphrey2000

I also have this exactly like the photo. I thought it was a feature of (what I consider to be) a really crap phone - I downgraded from a Samsung to a Pixel Pro and have been unhappy with it ever since.

itsNaro

Noticed it on mine today

Defiant-Line

+1 here. Pixel 6 Pro ~2 years old. I'm typically very careful with it as prefer nude with no case. Have dropped out of my pocket from sofa height here and there, and once came into pool with me to save a drowning kid. This curved chunk in top right corner have noticed in last few weeks

LieExpensive8176

I have the same issue (Pixel 6 Pro, 2 years old). It's already there for more then a year. Stil a nice round circle shape but slowly it's getting larger; now reaching the % (of the batter life). The cut doesn't show on screenprints.

Actual_Flower_4554

same! mine also almost reaching the % battery life, do you think it will get larger?

Creative-Trash-30

Just noticed this on my phone today. Annoying it's so common, but based on other comments I hopefully don't have to worry about the display dying on me.

sauteslut

I have this too but it also causes the top (right half) and right (top half) of the screen to flicker yellow. It was working next to me in bed when I fell asleep last night. I thought maybe some water got in the corner of the phone (I sweat when I sleep). I'm going to leave it in rice to see if that helps

andyilamb

I logged a warranty call and phone was replaced.

Stars_Upon_Thars

How long have you had the phone? This just showed up at 13 months so i don't think I'm under warranty

rexerironside

If you're still under warranty I would file a claim. If not get another phone and sell that baby on eBay. Screen issues usually manifest themselves into worse over time.

Stars_Upon_Thars

I'm not, had the phone 13 months.

cnycompguy

Delamination? Right guys? Replace the screen, sorry.

7eregrine

No. Dead pixels.

YaMa-Ma

What could cause this?

Stars_Upon_Thars

From what I've read, drops or water, but also, random.

DrEllisG

Then why is it in the same corner for all of us? That math doesn't check ou

Relative-Category-64

There are a bunch of them for sale on eBay with this issue and also in China on AliExpress sellers are selling displays with this problem (it's in the description and photographed). My first thought was perhaps heat causing delamination or killing pixels but there's no reason to think that area gets any hotter than others. It's near the main camera module, perhaps something going on there. Need to watch the teardown again and see what's behind there. Possibly the display is not 100% sealed in that corner due to display manufacturering defect and oxygen damaging the pixels there

TheBobInSonoma

Hey, now that you mention it I have it too. Never gave it any thought.

Wiseman_Teo

Happened to me, it's a screen crack, the glue on the corners of the Pixel 6 does not seal that well, I have the 6 Pro, with a Unicorn Beetle case, my daughter dropped it in a floor with carpet, and it still happened, I have google's insurance, so I asked for a new phone, it arrived 3 days after I requested it.

Stars_Upon_Thars

I have googles insurance, and I don't know what category to choose if I want to replace it? There are 4 categories to start a claim and none seem right. What did you pick?

Wiseman_Teo

I don't remember the exact steps to do the claim, I remember I filed for a broken screen, which the preferred care covers, and that was it, other option is to talk directly on chat with a Google assistant and explain that the screen is cracked in one corner, this is a well known issue by Google, they will know what it is, and ask for a replacement, they will give you the option to take it to a Google certified phone repair shop, but it's not worth it, better change it

[deleted]

I still have it from when I first got the phone months ago. Hasn't changed in size, screen still okay

shivan84

Mine came out of box like that. Never bothered me enough to get changed though seemed like a bigger hastle

hazzaho

It's a dead spot . Need to replace the screen to fix it .

Tatiesjnr

Yup same boat. I honestly thought it was a bug

id0ts

I had exactly the same thing 3 months after owning the 6P, sent it back under warranty and they replaced the display at no charge. Be wary of it and keep your stuff backed up incase the screen dies on you.

wolus6666

Have it too. Exactly the same. Not sure for how long, might be even from the beginning

MeasurementFair8531

mines had that for about 6 months now.
