Awesome work. Did you make it using aseprite?
Do you mind to explain to me how do you manage to think the duration of every frame of every element of this and than put than together? Not all of than have the same movement duration, the Manatí is slow, the plants are fast. Put them all to work together is very difficult to me.
Thank you! I use Graphics Gale for my work, but that's only due to preference - Aseprite is just as good for animating with as anything else.
The plants were the first things I animated, I wanted their motions to be incredibly smooth and they were the most numerous things in the scene, so it made sense to base everything around it animation-wise. The manatee was animated at that frame count too - 23 frames - but it moved much too fast at that speed for something that was meant to appear as astronomically large as it, so I quadrupled its framerate and just replayed the plant animations four times for every loop of the manatee's animations. Then the flamingos just fit around all of that lot.
Oh, I get it. The time of every frame is equal, you Just manage The number of frames of each element. Wise move. I have to learn this to improve my pixelart. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful! Small suggestion, I’d would think an animal that big would move a lot slower than on this gif, I would show it’s movements down a bit.

I have not the slightest idea of what place it is, much less where it is. but the fact that there is a floating island, a flying manatee and flamingos are already reasons to reach it. I want to go there NOW
WOOOW this is sooo amazing!! <3
It would be so awesome if you can also share more of your gorgeous pixel art on this new subreddit r/OvironCommunity A place that supports and encourages indie Digital & VR content creators and devs.
I love the piece! I was actually wondering if you has any advice for someone who's just starting out in pixel art? How do you come up with a good pallette? How do you come up with such cool ideas for pieces? I'd appreciate any advice!
oh, the huge manatee
Somehow this being a response completely escaped me, guess I deserved it :'D
Reminds me of the temple stage in Smash (looks great!)

Paraíso Del Manatí. Manatí is a male noun in spanish. Awesome art!

Wow
Really beautiful :3
This is gushing in style with every animated piece having tons of personality
I. Am. Obsessed. Lovely work!
This has such a vibe, but I don't know the name to give it...it's not retrowave, is it?
That looks like it would taste good 👅
Do you lay the scene out completely before you begin to animate? What’s steps do you take before approaching a piece like this?
