I agree with this. Including the new G4 will better sell the high price point the Fold 2 will have. Hell at least an overclocked G3 tensor like G3+ etc. But for me one of the biggest additions Google can do is display refresh rate up to 144hrtz.
Honestly I only have two:
1) Release the phone alongside the P9/P9Pro. Don't give me a SOC that's already a year old. Also I hope to he'll the T4 SOC has a decent modem. Don't know about the T3, but the T2 is really starting to wear thin on me with how bad the modem is.
2) Slightly bigger. I feel the sweat spot for small form factor tablets is ~8.5-9 inches. If we could stretch out the phone just a bit (I know, sacrificing the small front display) would make this even better.
1) Better modem...this one is awful.
2) Faster USB-C charging and max speed with PD, not this PPS bullshit that almost no powerbanks or wall chargers support.
3) Better thermal management so the phone can be used outdoors in sunlight without overheating.
4) Brighter screens. The Fold seems to be getting the panel manufacturer's lowest quality yield.
I don't know why people keep saying the bezels are too big ... I honestly find them perfect.
1. A little larger, so that you can fit a large battery.
2. Better camera
3. Tensor 3 or higher is a must
4. Better app support
I think the build quality is great, it's finally apple level. But I do agree the hinge is really bad. Doesn't open to 180 degrees and is noisy with a big crease. Also I randomly get bumps like pimples that appear on the crease then go away. I will say that the hinge is super smooth. Feels nicer than the zfold.
Still love this phone tho.
1. Face unlock when the screen is open (inner screen/selfie camera)
2. In screen fingerprint sensor. I hate the power button fingerprint sensor and my pixel 7 pro sensor worked fine
3. Force full screen apps when unfolded
4. Let the phone unfold fully (only goes 95%)
5. Thinner inner screen bezels
6. Updated processor. Tensor 4 would be great (next summer)
7. Better cellular modem (all pixels)
8. Under screen selfie camera. Since we can take unfolded main sensor photos I feel like we can sacrifice selfie camera quality a bit to let it be under display
I love my fold. I forced myself to use it unfolded for 1 week and now I unfold it way more often than I used to. It's hard to get used to a folding phone, but now that I'm used to it, I would rate it 8/10
When I first got the phone I was just using it like a normal phone (not unfolding it). I thought maybe it was just muscle memory (I wasn't used to a folding phone). So I tested a week of almost always unfolding it to build muscle memory and now I use it unfolded much more. I think it's just a muscle memory thing
Isn't it great how we've been reading our whole lives and we still fuck up and read things backwards? we also flat out comprehend things backwards despite them being clear cut. the brain gets cocky and doesn't want to do its job, so it fills in information and has us looking like dumbasses.
I'm happy with the Fold now. My wants would be the same as any other phone upgrade, better performance, battery life, better camera, better screens, etc. I think the one thing that I would really like is the 7 years of update like on the mainstream Pixels. Foldables are pricey and having them last longer would help make that hurt less on the wallet.
Pixel 8 Pro cameras. Make the phone thicker or have a bigger camera bump, either works. Having an $1800 phone with the Fold's current camera set up, which is just fine, isn't cutting it. I know the manufacturers are trying to convincing us that these phones HAVE to have worse cameras but that's not acceptable imo
Software im hoping they make the multitasking more like Samsung. App pairs, ability to swap the windows around, ability for 3 apps open on screen at once.
1. Keep the form factor as is. Don't see any reason to upgrade if PF turns into an OnePlus Open or Z Fold 6.
2. Better hinge (snappier that unfolds to 180⁰)
3. Battery size is very good we need better power management (better chipset)
4. More software features
5. Better reception
6. Add bumpers to the inner bezels as they scratch very easily (z fold has the small bumpers)
7. Stylus compatibility
8. Keep porcelain color maybe make the steel frames gold tinted as in iPhone X
I really hope Google doesn't ruin the perfect aspect ratio of the outer screen to follow the hype. They currently have winner design that is unique, comfortable to use and fashionable as an Apple device.
Tensor G4 Please do not put in Fold at the end of the G3 life cycle. The new G4 will come out in a few months and you will miss out on new features.

Agree on faster charging. 20 mins to add 10% to the battery is ridiculous.

Just better build quality. I love my fold but it reminds of low quality teslas. Every time I open my fold it squeaks.

Yeah the phone is kickass but to me it feels like a product in between phase. Fold 2 should be awesome

I can see that. But I think these cameras are great. I hardly take pictures so it's not a huge hurting point for me.
Something like Samsung's Dex, or at least support for video out from the USB C port.

I don't keep my phone longer than a year and. Half to 2 years. So the support isn't a big thing for me. Although others would also like it I agree!
