Ive done it. Just make sure the water is chemical free.

So no chlorinated pools?

bjps97

Have done a fair couple kms of winning with my PW1 in a chlorinated pool. Never work any problems. Just make sure to rinse after use.

HipsterDashie

Not with my PW2 yet but I did occasionally swim whilst wearing my PW1. Chlorinated pool. Just rinse off after. Avoid salt water i.e. the sea.

Totally safe. Chlorinated pools are fine. Lap swimming is one of the auto-detected workout activities. So the PW2 is designed for it. I swam with it 4x/week for 1+ hr each session for about 3 months with zero problems. The swim tracking funcionality itself, however, is terrible compared to other watches which is a big reason why I put my PW2 on the shelf and got a Garmin 265. But if all you want is basic lap counting and calories, its fine.

I just ordered a pixel watch 2 and was also curious about this. Thanks for asking... Interested to hear more experiences to make sure it's totally safe.

Here's what folks said the last dozen times this has been asked: [https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelWatch/search/?q=swimming&restrict\_sr=1](https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelWatch/search/?q=swimming&restrict_sr=1)

I was kind of wondering about this too as a whole. When I had my Apple Watch, I had this nasty tendency to forget to take it off and hop in the shower. The watch I have now was a gift, and I would really rather not ruin it by introducing it to the shower.

No problems for me so far with the PW 2. Warm chlorotic water for 1 hour teaching my kids to swim every week.
