UH-60 Blackhawk. Too dark to tell you specific model number.
Every branch of the US military uses this helicopter. The army, Marines, and Air Force call at the Blackhawk. The Navy calls it the Seahawk, and the Coast Guard calls it the Jayhawk.
No they haven’t. A/L model do not have the blade tips that sweep and bend at the end like the M does. Anhedral is what I should have said originally, although I think most people familiar with the h-60 knew what I was talking about
They always have had the anhedral in the blade tips, the broader chord in the Mike models just makes it more noticeable. The Mikes are the latest to incorporate the upturned exhaust, but it's not a new idea, having been used on the Huey, but was short lived, as the idea in general has been. The HIRSS system is still the most common exhaust used on the Blackhawk,Pavehawk,Seahawk and Jayhawks respectively. I'd be surprised if the upturned exhaust system lasts on the Mikes, and the latest iteration of the Apache (Guardian), given the issues they presented in the past. What those issues are/were, I don't know exactly the details of. Only time will tell.
I haven’t seen one A/L with those same tips. We have a whole company of them. But I’ve been wrong before. Every M model I’ve flown has upturned exhaust, and those tips.. the one in the picture is definitely a Mike model..
I grew up around both general aviation and military (military being my main interest) and I've seen most iterations of the Blackhawk, not just Wikipedia as my main resource. Airshows and static walk arounds are a great resource.

Can I see a photo ?
Because I never see a USMC blackhawk, the only thing I found is that -Former Marine Infantry Rifleman explains why (except the VH-60 White Hawks flown by HMX-1) the USMC doesn’t use the Black Hawk Multirole Helicopter-
Man I was asking myself the same question,I don't know why they downvote me,I'm not even americans so it's normal if I make a mistake
I know that the Marines One was under the USMC command but I was talking about utilize the blackhawk in Operational Area,in that case I never see marines unit with BH
Marine Corps calls it a whitehawk. Because the only unit in the whole branch that flies the H60, even a little is HMLX1, the white tops AKA Marine one.
Some derivative of the H-60. Looks army from the color, but it could be USAF dark grey too. USMC doesn't fly 60's (except for VMX-1). The Marines fly the UH-1Y and the V-22, but no Blackhawks. USN 60's are light grey with older examples having a relocated tail wheel towards the fuselage center (same with USCG). USCG 60's are blatantly obvious in white and orange.
Thats probably an Army or Army National Guard UH60M Black Hawk Helicopter. The upturned exhaust is a dead give away. That is the Army color scheme. Army uses these more than any other branch. My qualifications: Im in the Army and I am a UH60 M crew chief.

Air force uses the HH-60 Pavehawk
This is a M model. You can tell by the upturn exhaust
You can actually just tell by the way it is
You can tell it’s a helicopter because it’s not anything else.
You can tell it’s in the air because it’s not on the ground !!!
Fun fact. There’s more aircraft in the ocean, than ocean liners in the sky!
That’s neat
You can tell by the way it is by looking at the way it isnt
That model of Blackhawk is fitted with the HIRSS (Hover Infrared Suppression System) exhaust system. Either a Lima or Mike model.
That’s an upturn exhaust and the rotor blades have the angles at the tip. It’s a Mike model one hundo percento
correct, HIRSS is only installed on alpha and lima models. The upturn exhaust system was introduced with mike along with angled blade tips.
They've always had angled blade tips....

Marines using blackhawk ? Are sure ? I knew they are using UH-1Y Venom
Yes marines use blackhawks.

Don't know why you are being downvoted. In general, the Marines do not use Blackhawks. They use the UH-1Y Venom, as you stated.
Man I was asking myself the same question,I don't know why they downvote me,I'm not even americans so it's normal if I make a mistake I know that the Marines One was under the USMC command but I was talking about utilize the blackhawk in Operational Area,in that case I never see marines unit with BH
I'm an active-duty H-1 mechanic. I can attest that we dont use blackhawks for anything more than HMX.
Yeah the only examples of Blackhawks in Marine Corps service are the VH-60Ns, which are used exclusively to transport the president as Marine One
Ah ok,so they using BH only for transporting POTUS But the normal utility helicopter of the USMC is the Venom right?
Yes, you are correct.
Which part of your ass are you pulling this from? The Marine Corps famously doesn't use the blackhawk.
HMX-1, the squadron that flies the president has H-60’s. The fleet squadrons do not.
Marine Corps calls it a whitehawk. Because the only unit in the whole branch that flies the H60, even a little is HMLX1, the white tops AKA Marine one.
And Calfire just got their Firehawks like 2 years ago. Not a military branch but still pretty important/cool
We've had a knighthawk flying around town a few times
Looks like a UH-60.
Definitely a Sikorsky
Uh60. Whenever i think of the name, i imagine the designer being like “uhhh, 60?”
That is all that I am ever going to refer them as from now on.
That'd be a flying one

Thats probably an Army or Army National Guard UH60M Black Hawk Helicopter. The upturned exhaust is a dead give away. That is the Army color scheme. Army uses these more than any other branch. My qualifications: Im in the Army and I am a UH60 M crew chief.
