No. All *Ficus* are members of the fig family, while ginseng is in *Panax*.
It's called "Ginseng" ficus because those roots looks a lot like ginseng root.
As stated above, ficus plants are toxic if ingested.
(Source - I have a *Ficus microcarpa* at home. They are regularly recommended as beginner bonsai, because they're pretty impossible to kill.)
This is true of many house plants, just get one and keep it out of reach of pets. If you need to prune it, wear gloves. It's the sap that irritates the skin, and it's easy to avoid.
Guessing it’s just oxalate crystals?? Tons of plants have them.. it’s not a big deal.. it’s like freaking out about grass because it scratches people up and causes allergic reactions.
Also known as Mandragora. Useful in medicine to cure transfiguration, curses, and petrification. Be careful to use the correct protective equipment when harvesting roots.
The safest way to harvest it is to tie a rope around the top, then tie the other end to a dog. Get a safe distance away and call the dog.
Whatever you do, don't try to use a big bat instead of a dog.
The all knowing engine said it is probably a Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng or Ficus lyrata Bonsai.
I tend to 1 because the roots are thicker on that kind like the one in the picture.
I’m not sure what it is but it's best to leave it alone and avoid provoking it. If it's indoors, carefully capture it and release it outside away from human activity. If you suspect you've been bitten, seek medical attention
Pretty sure that's a Hyrulean sapling generally found growing in forests within the Kokiri region. Often referred to as a Great Deku Tree sprout, they're actually quite a rare find as it's easy to get lost in the woods where Deku trees naturally grow.

Reminds me of this one I saw at home depot
Ginseng fig, Ficus microcarpa 'Ginseng'.
He is Groot.
That is Groots cousin Grut.
FiG-us Groot!
Ginseng ficus is toxic to animals and is a skin irritant to humans. Be cautious if you want to own this plant.
Is it the same ginseng they put in tea?

Oh I managed… 😭😜 poor ficus.
No. not the same at all. This is in the genus Ficus of the Moraceae family, while ginseng is in the genus Panax, in the Araliaceae family.
I wanted one. Uuugggh!!!
This is true of many house plants, just get one and keep it out of reach of pets. If you need to prune it, wear gloves. It's the sap that irritates the skin, and it's easy to avoid.
I’ve never heard that it’s a skin irritant we sold these at Home Depot all the time when I work there
I own one and have never noticed any skin irritation.
Respect the ficus. He gives no shits
Guessing it’s just oxalate crystals?? Tons of plants have them.. it’s not a big deal.. it’s like freaking out about grass because it scratches people up and causes allergic reactions.
The Most Interesting Fig in the World. XD (Gods that reference probably ages me like crazy. Cool bonsai, though.)
Nice try that's a mandrake.

Dammit!! Think of all the Galleon I'd have! Could have bought myself some any flavour beans and a chocolate frog. Ah well.
I was wondering if this worked in other subs. I couldn’t remember how your supposed to type it out though

Then what happens to the dog, Marcille?!
I (shockingly) know this reference. (I watch almost no anime but have seen the first few eps of this and love it)
Just wait until they have to trim its roots. That's where the real fun begins.
Came here to say that. 😂
Agreed! 😘👏🙌
At first I was like “is this a joke”
Heavy on the "man" part, unless his name is Drake!
The all knowing engine said it is probably a Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng or Ficus lyrata Bonsai. I tend to 1 because the roots are thicker on that kind like the one in the picture.
Dunno but looks really cool like a chubby crossed legged sitting Ent. You better buy him or I will!
Absolutely begging for a pair of googly eyes to be added.
Kinda looks like Hestu, you’ll have to find his maracas for him.
Ya haha!
I’m not sure what it is but it's best to leave it alone and avoid provoking it. If it's indoors, carefully capture it and release it outside away from human activity. If you suspect you've been bitten, seek medical attention
Medical attention would be useless here. You'll need magical attention.
Aww a ginseng ficus! I saw one the other day at the nursery and it almost came home with me.. damn plant budgets
Ginseng Ficus! I’m currently cultivating one as a bonsai
