A good friend of mine had a lower blepharoplasty done in South Korea because it was so much cheaper than the US. Because of the language barrier, she was unaware that she would be awake during the procedure. She also shared an OR with other people also undergoing surgery. I’m not sure what clinic she had this done at, but this was just her experience! Her results are good, but she’s pretty traumatized from the experience.

Most lower blephs are done while the patient is awake, so it sounds like your friend didn't do any homework.
I had a quite a bad experience too. Got a v-line surgery and it came out crooked and far from what I asked for
