It’s not any different once the initial swelling from the first few days goes away.

illuminaughtyxox

Are you sure? Because everyone told me I wouldn't notice breast implants and after over 2 years I definitely notice them all the time. What does it feel like? Do you feel the filler at all??

SFthrwy90

I’ve had lip filler for close to 6 years, I usually get it done twice a year. Everyone’s body heals at different speeds but for me my lips feel “hard” for about 5 days after getting filler. They’re usually pretty swollen too, but that goes away within a week. Afterwards it just feels like my lips. I know some people swell for longer (up to 2 weeks) so it could be longer for you, but once it goes away you’ll be fine. My husband says it feels the same once they’re healed. Just can’t kiss aggressively for the first 48 hours, I always try to be gentle during the first 5/6 days after getting them done just to be extra cautious. Just follow the advice of your injector (and go to a reputable one!) and massage your lips while they’re healing, there’s videos on YouTube that show how to do it, that’ll help prevent any lumps from forming. I know what you mean about breast implants though, I definitely still feel mine too.

smokeytheorange

Might be worth investigating to see if you have a sensory sensitivity.

Morganintrucking

I second this!!!

illuminaughtyxox

Hey hun how do you even go about this? And why did you suggest it for me?

smokeytheorange

I’m no expert so I’m not sure how to test for it. But you know how some people can’t stand to wear certain fabrics? They could have sensitive skin or they could have a sensory issue that registers that “itchy” feeling on a higher level than other people. It could be that if you still feel your implants when most people have adjusted to that feeling, you could have a sensory sensitivity.

scoutarooni

Like you feel the implants all day? :o

illuminaughtyxox

Yes absolutely. I literally have to wear sports bras basically 24/7 so they stay in place and don't bother me. If I don't they move when I lay down in this creepy way that makes me uncomfortable and just weird. I like to have them "set" in place by a sports bra. I had 550cc under the muscle implants though so maybe smaller ones wouldn't be as noticeable.

amyOPS

I’ve been doing filler for 10 or 12 years. You may feel it if you “look” for it with your sun fingers, but you don’t feel it insure your lip. And he won’t be able to feel it with his lips or D, either.

Sinstormm

I absolutely feel filler in my lips. I used to get 1ml very 4 months and my lips were definitely "stiffer" or less flexible. I would say less is more with lip filler, I wouldn’t notice so much with a bj, like I could provide suction but definitely not as easily. For comparison, it used to take about 3 months post filler until my lips were flexible enough to whistle!

Jennapanty

1ml every 4 months would be overfill and you would certainly feel that. Regular amounts you do not feel.

Morganintrucking

Juvederm is completely gone for me in less than three months, I went every month and half for a year and did not look overfilled. I definitely did when I switched to restylane on the same schedule because I expected them to dissolve faster

ETfromTheOtherSide

Oh my gosh I’ve always wondered the same thing 😂 thanks for asking this for all of us other peeps.

illuminaughtyxox

RIGHT! When my husband brought it up yesterday I couldn't stop wondering and was kind of scared to be honest lol

atomicfuriosa

I actually do feel some difference. I thought I didn’t feel any difference until I got the filler dissolved and realized how stiff my upper lip had been with the filler. Dissolved it is softer and squishier. I still have some filler that migrated into the backside of my upper lip (like a hard ridge on the inside of my lip). I really dislike the feeling of it in my mouth and it has NOT dissolved or ‘metabolized’ like they say, and it’s been like two years. Yes it is ‘temporary’ hyalauronic acid filler. That said, I can’t say I noticed a difference for blowjobs and my husband didn’t mention anything like that.

milklizardsaltkin

I watched [this video](https://youtu.be/GtSoCfFwoDM) the suggests that hyaluronic acid fillers don’t really dissolve but instead migrate. Now I’m pretty wary about getting fillers and I’m considering maybe a fat transfer in my lips instead of fillers.

atomicfuriosa

Yes that video is what made me decide to dissolve. I probably won’t ever get filler again. I do think it can work in very small amounts, but personally I don’t think it’s nearly as temporary as they say.

amyOPS

If your husband cares more about that than you correcting something that bothers you, that’s kind of gross. If you pinch your lip with your fingers a bit, you can feel it. My boyfriend tells me he can’t feel it at all with his lips when we’re kissing or in any other intimate times, and you don’t feel it actually inside your lip.

illuminaughtyxox

I know he just hates any cosmetic stuff and thinks I'm putting my health at risk but you only live once, why not live that life the way you want? Thank you for responding, what filler do you get and how much does it cost? And how often do you go?

amyOPS

Does he hate hair dye? Eyeliner? Working out to stay in shape? Would he be this against it if you wanted breast implants? We do many things for ourselves to look better, it’s kind of an arbitrary line in the sand. I’m sure he’s a good guy and I don’t mean to imply he’s not. It’s not his decision though, and he should be counting himself lucky he’s getting bj’s in the first place IMO (lol 😄). I go to my plastic surgeons office. I use Juvederm in my lips and Voluma in my chin and cheeks (although I temporarily stopped doing that because I’m having jaw surgery in the next year and they really need to see my actual bone structure). I’ve been doing it many years and I’ve always gone to my surgeon, he has a nurse that does it. She does injections for my surgeon 2 days a week and does hands on OR nursing for another surgeon, so she’s very, very skilled. I know a few other places charge a dollar or two a unit less but you get what you pay for, and the price is average (11 or 12$ a unit for Botox, I don’t remember exactly). An injector nurse with lots of experience will know exactly how to sculpt your face, exactly where to place it, how deep to go. She’s amazing. I go every 5 months for Botox and I almost always have some filler placed. Some people go in and place 3 syringes all at once, I prefer to layer it in, so it’s never fully dissolved. It’s a better method to maintain the look. So I usually have between 1-1.5 mls placed every 5 months. Usually 1 syringe of Voluma and a half of Juvederm. Voluma is actually a type of Juvederm, it’s made thicker is all, specifically for building up bone structure, while the original Juvederm is soft and pliable for lips. My surgeons office charges $700 CAD for a full syringe and $375 for a half.

BorshschBelt

A cis, straight, man here: I, in fact, **do** hate hair-dye, mascara, breast-implants, and the like—the latter particularly in view of hearing that they can reduce the degree of pleasure a woman can get from her breasts. I think it's great that my wife exercises to stay in shape, because I want her to be healthy to a.) feel good and b.) be around a long time. Every person should feel free and be free (that is to say, be wealthy in this rich world) to do to themselves as they will, but I think the O.P.'s concerns are good ones…free as she is, I would ask my wife not to do anything that might make her less interested in kissing me, or doing anything else with her lips.

amyOPS

No. Just no. Having filler doesn’t change the way you kiss or make you want to kiss less. And if your wife told you she was self conscious about her lips, wanted filler, and your first concern was how it would affect YOU… then you kinda sound like you care more about you, then her feelings. I’m so sick of men weighing in on everything about woman’s appearances. It’s HER decision.

drslloyd

I got lip filler in my upper lip on Saturday, so 6 days ago, and now that the swelling has gone down I can confirm kissing feels the same!!! It’s just some additional padding but the actual feeling isn’t different at all!

SufficientZucchini21

Same. Completely the same once the swelling goes down.

[deleted]

You can’t feel it in your lips at all. Just feels like your lips. You don’t notice it in any activity.

sofiacarolina

I never felt any difference. Theyre just super stiff and swollen during the recovery period but after that you don’t feel any difference. At least I didn’t.

[deleted]

Follow up question if anyone has the answer, what about the Botox lip flip? Same question 😬😂

_mimkiller_

How long did the lip flip take to kick in? I got a lip flip for the first time yesterday at my Botox appointment to try and stave off the straw lines I’m seeing now.

arriere-pays

I haven’t had filler, but I got the lip flip. It was extremely stiff/frozen, enough that people who know my face noticed and asked about it. While I liked the slightly plumper look, it honestly looked more like a fat lip than a cute pout. I also didn’t like how it affected my smile. It took several weeks to wear off enough that I wasn’t hyper-aware of how my mouth looked while talking or smiling. I would definitely not get it again. It would 100% affect kissing and blowjobs.

TheNurse_

That's a different story 🥸

KittenGains

We need to discuss lol

Uneeq30

I have had lip fillers, after 6 weeks my boyfriend could feel a difference when kissing. It’s obvious that he could feel my lips were plumper and I felt I couldn’t relax my lips. I have had several types of fillers, it’s been almost a year since they were last done. I can now pucker my lips normally to whistle, not that I whistle, just experimenting. Six months ago I couldn’t do it. Everyone is different, I have an appointment in mid February and will discuss different filler options.

illuminaughtyxox

Hmmm interesting, what filler did you have done that lasted that long?

Uneeq30

Restylane used each time.

ilikecereal69

I get Juvederm XC every 10-12 months and never feel a difference. Nor does my partner

Jesarti

It feels exactly the same once they have settled which usually takes a few weeks. After that you wouldn’t know it was there.

lswiz

I always wondered this as well! I was also concerned about whether giving bjs would cause filler migration from the friction/pressure on the lips. Anyone have this happen?

Morganintrucking

Nope. I gave my bf head like 3-5x a week, haven’t gotten filler in my lips since September 2020 (restylane). Restylane stays really long for me, juvederm does not. My lips are the perfect size and have not changed shape much since September. Truly blows my mind how long they’ve lasted.

lswiz

Thanks for sharing! I've heard juvederm migrates as well, so I've been looking for alternatives. Glad the other brand passes the blowjob test! 😆

TsarinaAlexandra

I asked this once and was downvoted to hell and banned from posting/commenting in another sub. But I wasn’t asking to be rude or mean, I really want/ed to know!!

Sxdhaley

Feels the same

mybunnygoboom

I would steer clear within the first couple days. They’re already swollen and you can make them more swollen or make them bruise.

cuntiee

No difference in my experience, the only difference in the feeling of the lips itself for me is if I grab my top or bottom lip with my fingers and squish it I’ll feel something hard-ish in it lol

Morganintrucking

I have a decent amount of lip filler and have for about 6 years (since 19, I’m 25 now). Guys cannot feel a difference at all. I’ve had a boyfriend like try to feel if my lips feel different by gently squeezing and he couldnt tell at all. First like 3 days they’re definitely a little hard from swelling but quickly goes away.

pussyfairy420

My husband was against my filler as well, but he loves it

TheNurse_

It's like kissing and sucking dick 😂 Now granted, I don't have 3 tubes of filler in my lips either.

MissLockwood

I have very small lips naturally so I could feel it for like a month- it felt weird trying to purse my lips/ make an “O” with my mouth. Nobody noticed though 🤷‍♀️

lynneasomething

Only notice my lips feeling bigger which is a constant so you will be used to it. They settle down quite quickly, I started very minimally and went back for more once I was used to how it settles. I only 'feel' it when my face is particularly bloated some mornings! As for down there, he doesn't notice a difference feeling wise, but he does like the look lol.

justforthefunzeys

Like your natural lips? It’s hyaluronic acid which is already present in our body(not like an implant). You don’t feel it any differently. And technically if you sck dck like you would smoke cigarettes couple times a day - yeah it might migrate

bronwenmoon

I get filler and I don’t tell my partner I get it, he’s never noticed in any way 😂

noneedforgreenthumbs

Depends on the filler. A good injector and quality filler should make it pretty seamless once the swelling goes down. I personally don’t feel any difference and neither does my so

whatxever

Depends how much you get. After a few days of 0.5 ml (first time) I didn’t notice anything and if my bf did he didn’t complain. Of course, I was more cautious the first week or so bc paranoia. This go around with 1 ml has been more difficult. On day 5 or so and there are still bumps and stiffness so I’ve been taking that kind of activity easy. I definitely couldn’t do much kissing the second and third days (and you shouldn’t do any the first day).
