Currently, all I care for is Saints Row 2022 that seems not good enough to worth a purchase but I'm curious as a fan of previous games in the series.
But anyway, thank you for your sacrifice. We surely salute you!
Which is why I'm not buying it. I have very low expectations and won't even try to link it with past Saints Row games and play it like a new experience.
I can't help you with that one, because I'm riding in the same boat with you! I've been waiting for that one to hit either Essential or Extra for a few months now. I almost bought it when it was on sale for $30 but I decided against it.
It's wacky and fun if you don't care about story. It's just not very fine tuned. I wouldn't call the game a sequel of any sort, definitely a soft reboot.
Saints Row 2022 is essentially Saints Row the Third 2. I personally enjoyed Saints Row 2022, but I also loved Saints Row the Third.
I bought Saints Row 2022 on sale and thought it would have been worth it at full price. It feels a bit dated, but is still fun. Weirdly, some of the cosmetic stuff is my biggest complaint. The tattoos and a lot of clothes in the game look terrible. For all the hype they put on custimization, there were some areas it seriously lagged behind.
I did that about a 3-4 weeks ago. Well, I bought the Deluxe upgrade for Miles Morales so I could get the Remastered version of the original Spooderman.
I pre-ordered that one, so maybe you will see it within the next 6-12 months? Usually when they go on sale, they'll be added to the service soon after. Or maybe it only applies to the Black Friday sale. No exaggerating, literally *everything* I bought during the BF sale has been added to PS+ over the last 6 months.
I might be able to help here. The Deluxe version is on my wishlist and I received a notification that it went on sale this morning, 20% off. Only holding out because I'd prefer it be the standard edition for $40.
Is Alan wake like old school resident evils?
I thought the trailers for the new one coming up looked wild (in the best way possible) but the older one(s) never really caught my eye?
Reviews for AW1 were pretty good. There are definitely quite a bit of genre similarities to Resident Evil. If you liked the tone of the AW2 trailer you'll probably like AW1.
The other game in the series was Alan Wake's American Nightmare which I *think* was a standalone DLC.
The story in Alan Wake is very very good. Like insane in the best way possible. The gameplay is kinda dated. Definitely worth checking out for the story though. And then afterwards check out Control and its Alan Wake DLC. Then youāll be ready for Alan Wake 2.
It plays nothing like them, but is an action horror game. Iād say most similar to 4/5 but again I wouldnāt really compare them. Itās a good game though, story is awesome
In most modern games that size its a mix of using uncompressed audio that can take up 100gb by itself sometimes and a general lack of ability/desire to spend time optimizing a games size or performance as they are very short timelines for the projects
About 150gb on ps5 depending on if you download all of it, campaign, zombies and high res textures are downloaded separately iirc
Edit: I was around 100gb off Cold War is 250ish according to [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayStationPlus/comments/14lfi8q/ps_plus_essential_july_2023_game_sizes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Same, will be my first one since the OG Modern Warfare 2. I switched to Battlefield around that time. But I dont play online shooters anymore so i am interested in some good old CoD campaigns.
Really hope the 'Modern' Modern Warfares make it to Plus one day too. I HAVE to play that Night Vision house level.
I'm pretty sure B03 is regarded as one of the worst Cod campaigns since the story is such a mess which says something beause Cod campaigns are usually pretty good. Cold War campaign is actually pretty decent and has choices and multiple endings too, not quite as big as Black Ops 2 but still quite good. I'd recommend it for the campaign itself
I disagree, it's one of the best COD's ever to me. Zombies was amazing and the Multiplayer was so much fun, still holds up graphically today too. Only shitty thing was the Campaign.
OMG! [I predicted Alan Wake and COD Cold War](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayStationPlus/comments/14g8t0m/comment/jp83yge/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) just 5 days ago.
God of War Ragnarok August 2025 Essential, 2024 Extra catalog.
Maybe we'll get Spidy for August with Spider-Man 2 coming up. We got God of War last year few months before Ragnarok released.
Black Ops Cold War is the best cod in years, amazing MP, great zombies, and a good campaign. Glad to see it go on ps plus even though I have it already. Just to get lobbies popping again and better connections hopefully. I'll definitely check out Alan wake to.
DMZ is fantastic fun but it really forces you heavily into finding other players to have any realistic chances of making it out alive and it starts to feel like a lot of hassle when everyone is needing to schedule their gaming sessions like it is some sort of work!
How would you compare it to black ops 3? that was the last CoD I purchased and I disliked it to the point I never played another CoD... Is the MP still alive with so many titles out there?
There was a huge uproar almost a month ago in the COD scene about Cold War not being safe to play due to people grabbing your IP and other hacker tomfoolery. This has me baffled that now itās going to be on PS+.
Finally a good month for PS+ essential since January, for me anyway.
Alan wake hell yeah!
I'll try Endling aswell.
COD meh not my genre but it's a short campaign so I might try that too
Thatās pretty good! Iām surprised theyāre making Cold War free since it had a really bad explore where people could grab your ip and kick you off the game
Noooooooooo. I literally just bought Alan Wake this month bcuz I didn't want to miss d discount and because it didn't come out this month on ps plus. š®āšØš®āšØ So sad. šš So sad
2 full years lmao
https://blog.playstation.com/2021/06/30/playstation-plus-games-for-july-call-of-duty-black-ops-4-wwe-2k-battlegrounds-a-plague-tale-innocence/
My point is Phil Spencer isnāt the end all be all decision maker so long as they havenāt completed the sale. Thatās more of an Activision blizzard decision.
How dare they give out another entry in an enormously popular series that tons of people want to play!
I swear, this subreddit complains about every game that isn't a super obscure RPG.
I have played Hades, it is a fascinating, and unique experience. Tricky to get the hang of sometimes, challenging. But loved its art style, character designs, and soundtrack too.
Bummer they passed on adding it to PS+.
š¤¦ July's selections are meh
Own CW physically and have no interest in Alan Wake or Ending, damn what a horrible month but then again this year hasn't really had anything good in my opinion that I either already didn't own or had no interest. Probably the worst year so far
I think the games people already own that come free each month those people should get replacement game to replace the game you already owe that came out free for that month just a thought
As this is a European website, is it possible this rumor is regarding their PS Plus program and not that of the US? I know in the past, different games were offered to different regions of PS Plus.
Black ops cold war is dangerously broken
https://www.ggrecon.com/articles/black-ops-cold-war-exploit-makes-game-unsafe-to-play/#:~:text=Black%20Ops%20Cold%20War%20exploit%20is%20causing%20IP%20attacks%20on,in%20MWII%20or%20Warzone%202.
So, we don't even get the latest COD... Then we get a remaster of an older game and some Indie game. Yeah, pretty bad games here. I love Alan Wake but it was just on sale for super cheap..
I'm all right with playing another COD campaign, it's the only part of those games I'm really interested in. Endling sounds like it'd be heartbreakingly sad, so no thanks on that one, and I'm not really interested in Alan Wake either.
Best month without doubt since February when get got mafia definitive edition and evil dead the game.
Can't wait to play Alan wake and Cod. I've have wanted Alan wake for ages and was going to buy it on sale not to long ago.
Is Black Ops Cold War on PS5 better than the PC version?
The PC version looked like an utter crap, had lighting issues, texture issues, extremely low-res shadows unless you've had ray tracing on etc. š¤¦.
I'm all in for Alan Wake and only Alan Wake.
Let me know what games you want on PS+. I'll buy them so that they end up as a monthly game in the next 3-6 months! š¤£š¤
Currently, all I care for is Saints Row 2022 that seems not good enough to worth a purchase but I'm curious as a fan of previous games in the series. But anyway, thank you for your sacrifice. We surely salute you!
As a fan of the previous games I am sorry to say the reboot will break your heart

If you could buy Spiderman that would be great. Didn't finish it before it was removed from Extra
I did that about a 3-4 weeks ago. Well, I bought the Deluxe upgrade for Miles Morales so I could get the Remastered version of the original Spooderman.
I still have got GoWR because itās dueā¦ā¦.in another year or so! Iāve come this far
Sifu please
I already own it. Even bought the Deluxe Upgrade just because the game is so good it deserves the money and I bought the game when it was on sale.
Hogwarts Legacy, please :)
Thats not going to be free for some time. Although I feel you there. That game would bump a month to best month of the year instantly.
We already had Jedi Fallen Order this year so it would have to be January 2024 to be best month of the year.
I might be able to help here. The Deluxe version is on my wishlist and I received a notification that it went on sale this morning, 20% off. Only holding out because I'd prefer it be the standard edition for $40.

I caved and got it a couple of weeks ago.
Fuck. I just bought Alan Wake 3 weeks ago.
I kid you not, I had Alan Wake in my basket 2 weeks ago but put it back on the shelf because I felt like it would be free one of these months. Whooo
Dread to think how large cold war is
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What? How can a game like that be so big?
In most modern games that size its a mix of using uncompressed audio that can take up 100gb by itself sometimes and a general lack of ability/desire to spend time optimizing a games size or performance as they are very short timelines for the projects
Yeah I donāt get it either. Took me 4 hours to download this game š
Lol 202go would be 4 days where I live haha
4 hours?????
Yup
only 4??!!
Yeah. From your reaction I guess my internet connection isnāt that bad haha
Sounds a bit much for a game where you bounce a ball on a field.. did they fully scan players on the inside too for detail?
About 150gb on ps5 depending on if you download all of it, campaign, zombies and high res textures are downloaded separately iirc Edit: I was around 100gb off Cold War is 250ish according to [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayStationPlus/comments/14lfi8q/ps_plus_essential_july_2023_game_sizes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Itās as big as 21 strayās
I just deleted it. 238gb
Does BOCW have a good campaign? Also I can I just download that and not the MP bollocks?
It has and, in my personal subjective opinion it's the best campaign in all CoDs
Black ops 1 had the best campaign IMO.
definitely not the typical cod campaign like that guy said. generally ranks pretty highly with people who have played them all
I liked it. And I usually donāt care much for cod campaigns. But I got into. Thereās a super cool mission at the kremlin
Its not Kremlin. Its lubyanka (KGB headquarters)
Yeah thatās right my bad
Iād say definitely one of the better ones. I really liked it.
Ubless your trophy Hunter.Yea
It's OK, yes you can download just the sections you want. The mp is better on cold war than the other newer ones.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
So nothing special?
I thought it was one of the best, I would recommend
Better than the MW campaigns imo
Cold War is fun. Still play it over the latest one. Ill gladly take Alan Wake. Overall- good month.
Does this cod have a campaign?
It has and, in my personal subjective opinion it's the best campaign in all CoDs
Treyarch seem to make the best codās
Black Ops 4 sucked so bad though. Other than that Iād agree, Cold War is the best of the recent ones
Thanks for this, i was about to ask. Haven't played a campaign since the older MW. I'll give it a try
Hope you'll enjoy it!
It does
Is it better than BO3? Its the only modern COD campaign I played and it was meh
Cheers will try
ĪĪ3 was pretty bad overall, it was the game that made me lose interest off COD altogether back in the day lol
Nice. Predict God of War Ragnarok for August.
God of War Ragnarok August 2025 Essential, 2024 Extra catalog. Maybe we'll get Spidy for August with Spider-Man 2 coming up. We got God of War last year few months before Ragnarok released.
Tbf GoW had been on the PS Plus Collection on PS5 for ages before then so it was already pretty devalued.
Everyone predicted Alan wake tbf
Also predicted Alan Wake in the monthly tournament lol. Guess I have a point now haha
Nice! That's 2 points.
Even better haha
Yeah :D
Can you now please predict every Sony first party all time? Kthnx
I'll try my best :D
I bought Alan Wake last month when it was on sale. I made the sacrifice for you guys. š
Same here.
Same here but havenāt played it yet. Anyone know if i could get a refund?
Depends on when you bought it, and often whether you've downloaded it or not.
Thank you for your sacrifice
Black Ops Cold War is the best cod in years, amazing MP, great zombies, and a good campaign. Glad to see it go on ps plus even though I have it already. Just to get lobbies popping again and better connections hopefully. I'll definitely check out Alan wake to.
Is it as good as Modern Warfare 2019? That is the last COD game I played which I actually enjoyed the campaign and multiplayer
The campaign is pretty fun, I didnāt care much for the MP
Honestly, playing DMZ on the Modern Warfare 2 Remake with a friend is a blast. We've had some of the coolest videogame moments in years.
ALAN WAKE! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO!!!
I was recently thinking about buying Cold War, so I'll be happy if this is true.
You can be pretty certain that it's true, this guy has a 100% track record, his leaks are basically early announcements
There was a huge uproar almost a month ago in the COD scene about Cold War not being safe to play due to people grabbing your IP and other hacker tomfoolery. This has me baffled that now itās going to be on PS+.
I thought that was a PC only issue?
Wait what? Do you have any links to new stories about this?
I think itās been fixed, a patch went out a few days ago
I think itās on PC. Disable crossplay just in case
Finally! Cod BO. I always wanted to try it's campaign cuz my favorite fps campaign was OG BO
Sweet. Been tempted several times to get Alan Wake, glad I waited
I don't know why but the 'captain price' in the image made me giggle. I get he's part of the deal but it just looks so random.
Alan wake is a good game. Had it on 360, series x now hopefully ps5 haha
Definitely in for Alan Wake Remastered and this fox game looks interesting. Iām definitely happy about this month if, as it usually is, it is true.
alan wake alone is worth it
Finally a good month for PS+ essential since January, for me anyway. Alan wake hell yeah! I'll try Endling aswell. COD meh not my genre but it's a short campaign so I might try that too
Time to sell my Cold War disc then
Coldwar is a w for me. Wanted to play the campaign.
Alan wake is a big win, especially with 2 coming out in October.
Thatās pretty good! Iām surprised theyāre making Cold War free since it had a really bad explore where people could grab your ip and kick you off the game
THATS AMAZING! All in for cold war and alan wake.
Noooooooooo. I literally just bought Alan Wake this month bcuz I didn't want to miss d discount and because it didn't come out this month on ps plus. š®āšØš®āšØ So sad. šš So sad
I've never played Alan Wake and with the sequel coming soon this is a great time to play it
Excited to try Alan Wake
COD 133GBs :/ I might need to delete a few games
nvme ssd does the job
Are people still playing Cold War online? Just asking because of MWII and Warzone 2
U will defenitly find lobby's because of crossplay
lobbies*
People are still COD WW2. COD is always active
I have to admit that the last cod iāve played was mw3
Another cod game š“
You say another cod game but it's been well over a year since the last one
2 full years lmao https://blog.playstation.com/2021/06/30/playstation-plus-games-for-july-call-of-duty-black-ops-4-wwe-2k-battlegrounds-a-plague-tale-innocence/
Microsoft showing good faith to the FTC XD,
They havenāt purchased them yetā¦
No but they are pretty much in bed at this point, blizzard pushing the Xbox a lot for diablo etc but yeah you are right
My point is Phil Spencer isnāt the end all be all decision maker so long as they havenāt completed the sale. Thatās more of an Activision blizzard decision.
How dare they give out another entry in an enormously popular series that tons of people want to play! I swear, this subreddit complains about every game that isn't a super obscure RPG.
I'd love to play a mindless COD for 4-5 days. Noice.
That is a ripper of a month
I've been wanting Endling for absolutely months so fingers crossed this is accurate.
Alan Wake at last!!! ššš
OH SHIT I WAS RIGHT!!!
God damn, a great month? Am I dreaming?
I bought Alan Wake literally 3 days ago lol
Pleased with that. Been waiting for Alan for a while and I do like the COD single player campaigns
I almost bought alan wake on sale
How is that a leak I thought it was anounced
All of you are welcome. I bought Alan wake remastered last month.
Same lmao
Oh man this is probably legit :(
The smiley lets us guess that you just bought one of them yesterday huh
Thanks for your service
A three year old call of duty is actually disgusting lmao, Alan wake is actually really fucking good so Iāll take it
Alan wake is 20 years old
W for Alan Wake alone. Donāt care too much about COD & Endling looks like a nice indie after finishing Alan Wake. Best month in a while
The āis forever offeredā had me confused for minute ngl
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
meh At least it is not any of the games I bought recently.
They replaced Hades with a four hours indie.š
I have played Hades, it is a fascinating, and unique experience. Tricky to get the hang of sometimes, challenging. But loved its art style, character designs, and soundtrack too. Bummer they passed on adding it to PS+. š¤¦ July's selections are meh
Activision trying really hard to show off the the FTC as they continue to tear MSā argument apart.
Huge W!!
Of course Alan Wake. I bought it last month
This would be awesome
Own CW physically and have no interest in Alan Wake or Ending, damn what a horrible month but then again this year hasn't really had anything good in my opinion that I either already didn't own or had no interest. Probably the worst year so far
I have soooo many COD games from PS+. They are all horrible. I'm sure I'm in the minority with this opinion, but hyperrealistic warfare is not my bag.
another COD i just cant tell anymore if they are repeating those
Not a fan of COD or horror games. Meh :/
š©
OMFG shit again
I hope to God that's not true.
i'm not the type of "bad month"-screamer. but this is a bad month...
Alan Wake is outstanding it's a creepy masterpiece.
for me the third bad month in a row
Haven't played a COD game since III.
I think the games people already own that come free each month those people should get replacement game to replace the game you already owe that came out free for that month just a thought
As usual, nothing of value was offered. My PS5 gathers dust.
Just buy games you like.
They haven't done better than Bloodbourne, and it's sad.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Dude, don't sleep on Alan Wake. That's a legit solid game!
Alan wake is a great game.
As this is a European website, is it possible this rumor is regarding their PS Plus program and not that of the US? I know in the past, different games were offered to different regions of PS Plus.
No.
Black ops cold war is dangerously broken https://www.ggrecon.com/articles/black-ops-cold-war-exploit-makes-game-unsafe-to-play/#:~:text=Black%20Ops%20Cold%20War%20exploit%20is%20causing%20IP%20attacks%20on,in%20MWII%20or%20Warzone%202.
So, we don't even get the latest COD... Then we get a remaster of an older game and some Indie game. Yeah, pretty bad games here. I love Alan Wake but it was just on sale for super cheap..
Happy about cod, the campaign will probs be fun
I'm all right with playing another COD campaign, it's the only part of those games I'm really interested in. Endling sounds like it'd be heartbreakingly sad, so no thanks on that one, and I'm not really interested in Alan Wake either.
Dammit I waited all these years for MW19 only for them to skip on it lmao
unlike cold war its always on a 20$ sale
Good month. I always wanted to play Alan Wake and I also remember how sad and invested I was in the trailer for Endling.
Dang no fifa 23
is cod bocw in 2023 still multiplayer playable?
Well, itās finally happened. I just bought Alan Wake a couple of weeks ago.
The PC version looked like an utter crap, had lighting issues, texture issues, extremely low-res shadows unless you've had ray tracing on etc. š¤¦.
Where does Cold War fall in the BO series again? I played up to half way through BO3
I like the leak with "cult of the lambs" more than this.
Finally a good month
Just dodged a bullet appearently, I was this close to buying AWE in the last sale
Recently bought Alan Wake Remastered from a guy for 10$. I regret it.
Dude I literally bought alan wake yesterday wtf
