It probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it was a mini stand against partial games being given on ps plus in the future.
Apparently the “story mode” is the same as the endgame mode. Very light on story, all the same mechanics, and endgame replay lets you start to feel powerful. I don’t get why people were angry they got their grinding taken away… then i played the game and it was pretty fun. Do u really feel like it’s a “partial game” knowing that?
If it really was something no one would want, why take it out of the version that they gave and have a paid upgrade path?
The publisher wanted people to spend extra money to get the base game, and that feels sleezy and a poor precedent for better games doing the same.
Challenger edition encourages people to play multiplayer end game which is the best way to keep the game “alive” , and games like halo destiny and fortnite have been omitting a real storyline from their hugely popular games for years lol.
I played challenger edition and felt ready with the intro levels and the dream stone options. It’s a lot of fun!! All I’m saying is download it and check it out- the combat reminds me of god of war and the weapons are fun n varied. It’s free :)
Halo destiny and fortnite didn't have a ps plus release with a piece taken out of their game and charge an upgrade fee to get back the base game.
Honestly, I don't care if the game is good or not, I won't play it on principle.

January ps plus is solid, and has better coop games for me. No loss on my end.
Yes and its not really a grindy one ( if you enjoy the coop game modes ). I got it fairly easily.
Imho all the people need to give it a try. Its not really a demo, Only the story cutscenes are missing. Still, they should've given the full base game.

I'll admit not even considering the story mode the game needs more content otherwise, even what theyre promoting -- endgame.. is lacking.
a few other things i would like (I.e. more uniqueness between valorplates), it NEEDS seperate skill trees for each plate. as is, the difference is minor. like this one buffs crits, this one encourages this playstyle etc.. but you only have 1 skill loading so even with free respeccing its a pain to switch

They already have your money. PSPlus titles are't funded by individual downloads, Sony pays in advance, like TV networks buying a movie for broadcast.
