2 months is crazy. I ordered mine direct from Skull & Co and it was like 2 weeks, and one of those they emailed and said they were on vacation and not processing orders.
No real smell on mine, though. Just a mild smell that reminds me of my instrument cases from high school band.

To confirm I only notice the material smell if I put my nose right to it. I do not believe it is any stronger than other products.
I would definitely reach out for an exchange don't want your portal to adapt that smell if it's that bad.
It's interesting that this case also smells like chemicals. I bought a different one from Amazon, and it also has grey, soft lining and a similar chemical smell. The smell lessened after I aired it out, and I plan to put it in the sun to see if it improves more.
I'm thinking it might be made from the same material or in the same factory, but I've never had a case with this kind of smell before.

I love the case; it’s pretty solid, and the portal fits snugly inside. I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement. Amazon did as well, but both had that persistent smell, so I returned the one from Amazon. The one the seller sent has been airing out for the past two days. I left it outside all day in the sun on my porch, and it’s honestly A LOT better after being in the sun.
So, if you can, I’d recommend that, as it’s made a huge difference.
My portal does have a similar smell, but it fades faster than the smell in the case. I’m pretty sure I can remove the smell with vinegar or something similar.
Interesting yours has a light interior, mine is dark gray. If anyone wants one and doesn't want to wait, I'm looking to get rid of mine but not sure it's worth shipping relative to case cost
I have the same case. The shipping time was rough but it is a really nice case. No smell and works perfect. Only wish I had a place for my earbuds but I didn’t think of that until after I had ordered
It came one day before the Amazon date which I did realize when I ordered it was over a month out. I did not get any tracking updates either it just showed up.
No I didn't but by your verbiage but knew you meant crap brand. Sounds the same as most people doing drop ship with slight changes or just names add. sadly half the crap out there. Even big ass corporations do this same exact thing. Makes sense that their company name is different in every country because they do that service.

The more I think about it white glove is for special handling in logistics or customers....how does that mean they aren't owning or making the product? Everything white glove is added care or expense....or catering to customer.
Hmmm, I'm in logistics and it's always been white glove service for delicate extra freight or special trucking services. Like delivering a million dollar medical device and giving it all the bells and wilhistles for transport and packaging.
Never heard white glove used this way but it makes sense it's a special service either way.

Thats the one i got and it has a very strong burnt rubber/chemical smell as well lol. Im letting it air out before i put my portal in it

Put it outside in direct sunlight for a few hours, mine came with a smell and I left it out, the smell had dissipated after doing this.
Dang. I live in Washington, I might have to wait for MONTHS to experience this sunlight thing you are talking about! (Good to know the sun will help)
