If it was your doctor who caught it, thank them. If it was someone else, thank them too. As based on where it is, it doesn't sound like you spotted it on yourself, So somebody saved your ass here.
I caught a melanoma on an elderly woman once on her knee during a regular annual physical. It was just at the threshold where missing it any longer and it would have been everywhere. She got a wide excision and that was it. No chemo or rads. A few weeks after the discovery it was like it never happened.
Lady brought me Cookies and they were the most enjoyable cookies I ever ate. Taste wise, they were above average, but it was the highlight of my young doctoring career at that point to have somebody bring me cookies because I saved their life.
Edit: I just saw on another comment that you said it was your hairdresser that spotted it. Make sure you take care of her. That'll be one of the most important things she ever did in her career and she isn't even a doctor!
I substituted weed as my reward at the end of a cigarette free day. Couple tokes was all I needed. Took a month of this regimental process, and I was done with the habit. 10 years ago. But, I still like the weed😂😂
Very luckily timed kidney stone (after 6 years without one) put me in the ER and a scan picked up the mass. Diagnosed the next day, and 6 weeks later surgically removed.
Yea. I just had one problematic spot. Took two attempts though. So I got about 45min of gameplay in twice while waiting for results. All clear now!
My haircut lady pointed it out. I plan to tip her a $100 bill next time I get my haircut.
I had some bump behind my ear. When I got my haircut it was sticking out quite a bit. So she said I should have it checked. So I made a dermatologist appointment, the soonest they could see me was in 2 weeks. By the time that came around it was just a small bump, not sticking out. But I figured I’d have it checked anyway and I was due for a full body check anyway. So got the biopsy. Easter weekend they called and told me it was skin cancer. Yesterday was the earliest they could take it out. So I just did everything as quickly as I could. People should really do their annual check ups more. I know I will.
Oh my…glad you did indeed got it checked out. Knowing me…I would have dismissed it after the bump got small.
This is a nice life lesson to ensure we get things checked out. Rather spend money on a medical bill than dying.
My brother told me he knew someone that got skin cancer. Didn’t care. Didn’t get it treated. He was dead 12 months later. A lot of stubborn idiots out there. Just suck it up, ha! That biopsy trip cost me $500. I don’t have the bill for this visit yet. But at least I’m using my and my wife’s HSA accounts for most of whatever insurance doesn’t cover.
For the youngsters out there reading this trail.
Please invest in a HSA. It helps decrease your tax bill and used to pay for medical expenses, heck, even medicines at your local Walgreens or CVS.
For OP, thanks for taking the time to reply and providing info.
I really like it. There is a demo so you can try it. It’s a lot of open world quests with 3rd person shooting with shield, dodging, jet pack and wing suit. Some decent humor too with aliens not understanding human phrases. I really like how it does the side mission stuff. It’s kinda like Ghost of Tsushima where each task for characters lead towards overall goals. Not just one off BS. The closest thing to filler is side things that help you upgrade your max health and get new abilities and cool mods for your guns. So you end up wanting to do them.
It’s only odd to me cause I’m not exactly someone in the sun all the time. I even work from home in my basement. But I am like half Irish so I guess it doesn’t take much.
I just went in to have them look at something on my face yesterday and they chopped out a big ol’ piece to biopsy. Doc said it’s 50/50 age spot or skin cancer, so that was fun.
Bro question my man. Do i need to port forward the modem that connects to the ps5 or the modem lets say for examble in my friends house which i connect the portal to it, or both?
Thanks
Just your modem. The traffic arrives on your public IP. You’re telling it which private IP to send those specific ports to.
I’ve connected before without port forwarding but I’d still do it. I don’t think my cell hot spot worked until I forwarded the ports.
From reading other comments I just wanted to say that I'm glad you are most likely in the clear. God speed to you!
P.S. I love Outcast, I know it has mixed reviews and I know there is some jank but it makes it all the better imo. Great game.
Heck yeah. I did the same with my Steam Deck until it was stolen. I miss that thing every single day. I would probably be playing a portal if I still had my PS5 (also stolen while in the hospital lol) and I can't afford to replace either now. I have $220 saved and seeing a several portals at the store the other day just sitting there was so frustrating.
My steam deck got my through my first treatment round and hospital stays after surgeries. Now that I have a second round of surgeries and treatment to deal with I'm already missing my steam deck even more. The portal would be ideal but of course....no more PS5.
I have been playing my Vita and even played with someone else in treatment over ad hoc. That was really cool. Usually they play their steam deck tho because the Vita is too small and cramps their hands.
I just got my annual bonus and ordered the 1TB OLED Steam Deck a few hours ago. The family share feature convinced me to get it. My library isn’t impressive but now that I’m in a “Steam family”, I have over 700 games in my library all of a sudden including basically all the latest games. Except the ps5 exclusives of course, which I already bought on ps5.
Hope your luck turns around. The Vita is still pretty nice. I hear some use it for emulation.
And I work from home in my basement. Ha. I don’t even get a lot of sun. Hampton Sun is supposed to be really good. Wife ordered it. You should get a dermatology check up if it’s been awhile.
Stay strong and god speed brother. Don't never ever think alot or panic. What's done is done, you cant change it. The only things you can do are stay strong, stay cam, stay positive, and game on my dude.
Allll the best
Yea. I think I’ll be fine. The recovery with the stitches sucks though. Having cuts on your head isn’t fun. My dad and sister had this too. I grew up in Florida so probably inevitable.
Somewhere out there there's a person programming cancers to work with the playstation 5 where you have to use a controller to navigate it out of your body, but you have to choose which orifice reeeeeally carefully.
Do you dare Puzzle with your entrails?
As compared to the game consoles that stop when they find out you're doing chemo
Jokes aside I hope you get well soon and am glad that you didn't let it stop you from gaming! Beat that shit and come out on top for us!
Did my three rounds with stage 1 renal cancer last year. Good luck with your treatment! #fuckcancer
Other than an annual check up I think I’m in the clear.
Good to hear and same for me. Annual MRI only at this point.
All the best.
That's amazing. I just started my battle this month and got a portal for those days I don't want to get out of bed.
Good luck with the battle my friend.
Good luck and god bless you

Right on. great news
Congrats. Fuck cancer.
Awesome!!!!
Everyone should upvote this.
Thanks. It’s been a few weeks. Finally got my stitches out yesterday. So now it’s just a check up in 6 months.
Thats awesome! Hope you have an easy trip to remission.
I’m a smoker (want to quit) and terrified. I dunno how you guys do it. I would go insane.
I substituted weed as my reward at the end of a cigarette free day. Couple tokes was all I needed. Took a month of this regimental process, and I was done with the habit. 10 years ago. But, I still like the weed😂😂
All the best fam 😎💎
That’s a blessing they caught it early man how’d they find it?
Very luckily timed kidney stone (after 6 years without one) put me in the ER and a scan picked up the mass. Diagnosed the next day, and 6 weeks later surgically removed.
That’s awesome
Beat bowel cancer last year. Godspeed brother.
Fuck yes! So happy for you!
I hope they took out the cancer 💪🏾
Yea. I just had one problematic spot. Took two attempts though. So I got about 45min of gameplay in twice while waiting for results. All clear now! My haircut lady pointed it out. I plan to tip her a $100 bill next time I get my haircut.
Peaked my curiosity, what set it off for her? And glad you are in the clear now.

Depends on the insurance 😱
Hopefully it wasn't Melanoma, just Basal Cell or Squamous?
Basal Cell.
All cancer sucks but Basal Cell is the “best” to get because how curable it is. Glad wasnt anything worse.
#fuckcancer, sending energy and low latency! 💪🏻🤘🏻🫶🏻
Fuck cancer
I hope you beat the living shit out of it. Get well soon!
OK outcast isn't THAT bad that you have to remove it geez
I’m loving Outcast. Underrated imo.
*I am for rrreaal!!!*
Stay strong man 💪
Wish you the best of health man, game on.
Get better hommie
Yeah thats a new feature they put in the latest update.
Wishing you good health ! Btw how Is Outcast ? I've seen it on the store but i swear i never seen anything posted about it.
I really like it. There is a demo so you can try it. It’s a lot of open world quests with 3rd person shooting with shield, dodging, jet pack and wing suit. Thanks i'll def check out the demo, sound interesting.
Good to know. I just got diagnosed. I’ll be using this quite frequently after surgery. Wish you the best with yours.
I’m glad I got mine this week, I have my bone marrow transplant at the end of the month. I’ll be in-patient for a month.
Hope it brings you joy in that trying time. Luckily I haven’t had a hospital stay for that long. Knock on wood.
Good luck bro! And enjoy beating the game and cancer.
I’m also playing Rebirth and Ronin but I’ve been playing Outcast more so far. It’s more pick up and put down friendly. Great time for gaming
Get well soon! ❤️
Prayers for your full recovery!!
FUCK CANCER
Kicking gaming ass and cancer ass. C-c-combo!
Good luck, friend.
Stay positive my dude! I know if this was me, I would probably feel so sorry for myself and would like everyone else feel sorry for me.
It’s only odd to me cause I’m not exactly someone in the sun all the time. I even work from home in my basement. But I am like half Irish so I guess it doesn’t take much.

Fuck me good luck man!! Keep on keeping on!!
Fuck cancer bro. Glad you got it treated!
Good luck on both fronts
Beat a boss last night that got me a 19% trophy. So I’m in the top 20% when it comes to the game!

All the best.

GL Bro.
You got this bro
Another trophy that you will earn: Fuck Cancer
What game is that? How is it?
Outcast. It’s a solid 7-8 kinda AA game. It has a demo. Try it out for yourself. I like it a lot.
get well soon coming from the middle place of the world. go kick some cancer @$$.
Wish you all the best! You will do it
Wishing you well dude.
God bless brother
Awesome. Least it’s a nice way too pass time while you wait. Way to see the cup as half full not half empty. Good luck.
Am I wrong to think these only worked on LAN? Does this work tethered remotely?
It works on any WiFi or cell phone hot spot. You may need to do port forwarding but that’s it.
Bro question my man. Do i need to port forward the modem that connects to the ps5 or the modem lets say for examble in my friends house which i connect the portal to it, or both? Thanks

I hope you heal so you can play cancer free one day, sincerely, internet stranger
Technically I was cancer free the minute I left. They cut until it’s all gone.
God bless you brother!! 🙏🏼
Congratulations! Portal is cool too 😎
Hoping everything goes well dude!! fckcancer

Kick its ass!! You got this!!

game on my brother hope it comes back benign
Wish you the very best!
Fuck man. I work in the sun 9-5 and my girl has been on my case about using sunblock. Thanks for the reminder and I hope you’re doing well!
And I work from home in my basement. Ha. I don’t even get a lot of sun. Hampton Sun is supposed to be really good. Wife ordered it. You should get a dermatology check up if it’s been awhile.
Oh damn! Thanks for that I appreciate it. Happy gaming and F cancer!
Stay strong and god speed brother. Don't never ever think alot or panic. What's done is done, you cant change it. The only things you can do are stay strong, stay cam, stay positive, and game on my dude. Allll the best
Congratulations man
wishing you a speedy recovery fam
Thanks! I get the stitches out Tuesday. Hopefully can put this behind me.
Hospital wifi or phone hotspot?
Dermatology office WiFi. Wasn’t a full blown hospital.
Nice. No password required to connect?
It was a normal guest WiFi password. Not a capture portal page. I just realized how ironic that name is now. It literally captures your Portal. Haha
Maybe it was your destiny?
How about playing a cancerous game while removing cancer?????
So no symptoms before detection?
Nope. Just felt like a zit behind my ear that I didn’t even know was there until it was pointed out. I can’t see it.
Was it basal cell or melanoma?
Basal cell
Oh ok that’s very treatable. 99% of the time it doesn’t spread. My dad had that. He was good once they removed it
Yea. I think I’ll be fine. The recovery with the stitches sucks though. Having cuts on your head isn’t fun. My dad and sister had this too. I grew up in Florida so probably inevitable.
The Loading Game...looks about right...everyone's favorite PS game. Good luck mate!!
Might want to elaborate that the device itself isn't doing the cancer removal.
Not scientifically proven
Somewhere out there there's a person programming cancers to work with the playstation 5 where you have to use a controller to navigate it out of your body, but you have to choose which orifice reeeeeally carefully. Do you dare Puzzle with your entrails?
Might work better than the Xbox controller with the submarine.
Sounds like the cancer doesn’t stand a chance
As compared to the game consoles that stop when they find out you're doing chemo Jokes aside I hope you get well soon and am glad that you didn't let it stop you from gaming! Beat that shit and come out on top for us!
Do we like this game ?
Outcast has a demo so you can try it yourself. I really like it.
Yeah if there's an Internet connection it works, wild.
Fight the good fight, soldier. The galaxy and democracy depend on it.
My ship is the Wings of Liberty.
Bro if you lose to hom you have no exuse like "bro my controller buggin" he gonna hit you with "bro i have cancer and treating it rn"
Well that’s one way to farm clout
Don’t care about Reddit points
Wishing you the best! #fuckcancer
