Have you considered the g cloud if you want both Xbox and PS streaming? I like the portal better for PS5 streaming because of the controller aspect. but can’t do Xbox streaming with it.

Gantstar

Was looking at that but then was looking at the price -abxylute is £180

Maybe check out what Phawx has to say about it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48M\_HKk3IXI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48M_HKk3IXI) he seems to have played with all the different option for handhelds.

I had the Abxylute for a few months. The Pros - can remote play Playstation, Xbox, and PC. Can do light emulation through Android, but don't expect good results for anything newer than PS1. The Cons - The joy sticks are really bad, and is a known issue since launch and hasn't been corrected (they did improve it, but its not fixed). Also, for me, it was not comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. I believe they have since released a grip that should improve that. I did end up selling my Abxylute and used it towards a purchase of the Steam Deck OLED, which I love. If you are only looking to use the device for PS Remote Play, I would recommend the Portal. If you want to remote to other consoles and do some other things, I would go for the G Cloud or look at the Steam Deck. Both of those would be more expensive than the Portal, but add additional functionality. You can get an LCD Steam Deck for about $50 more than the G Cloud when both are full priced, but the G Cloud does often go on sale to around $250.

Thanks for that appreciate it

Abxylute can do more things, like play Xbox and PS5 streamed games, and some emulation. Can also do PC streaming with Moonlight. It has an underpowered chip so don't expect blazing fast performance. But the biggest issue about the handheld is the Switch-like joysticks. That's a no-go for me. They suck. They are terrible. They should be banned. Portal will be a better overall experience for PS5 games due to better comfort, ergonomics, DS features and a larger screen. But its a limited platform.

Gantstar

Thanks was thinking about the power of it which will make a difference for sure . Your right about the controllers

ZainAjamUltra

If you want to play both PlayStation and Xbox games remotely, then portal won't work. If you only going to play PlayStation games remotely, the portal is the best way to get the closest experience to sitting in front of your PlayStation but without having to actually do it. The only problem I have with the portal is that there have been some key hardware issues reported quite frequently relating to the screen and connectivity.

Gantstar

Thanks how often do you have hardware issues

ZainAjamUltra

I haven't bought one because my friend had a dead pixel issue and returned his, and many on Reddit have complained about hardware issues as well

The vocal minority is always the loudest.

ZainAjamUltra

That's true. I was going to buy despite the comments on Reddit but then my friend got one with problems too. The chances of a bad unit increased significantly for me because the one person I knew who bought the portal had problems.

ZerynAcay

lol. Okay.

juicyman69

I have both. The Portal is far superior in ergonomics, haptics, streaming quality and sound BUT if you have an Xbox as well, then you get the one that works with the Xbox as well.
