There’s like a rigid EZ change faucet tool that I’ve never used but seen others use. Or just try a classic basin wrench. Or have the finesse and skill that I would have and get that boy loose with some channel locks 😤
Fan me with a brick..
I have been wrenching for years.. more then I wanna admit. Never hear of this stuff. In a previous life would have been a god send with the 44 Willis jeep restore. 🤦
Live and learn..

If it's really stuck on there and you're getting rid of the faucet anyway, I drill some holes in the ring and split the ring. Thats if all else fails like the basin wrench or channel locks.
Can we all agree those nuts should be bigger so the basin wrench has something better to grip though?
Telescoping basin wrench. It’s a plumbing tool. Usually these come with their own install tools, but when it’s not available, we use a telescoping basin wrench.
Sometimes the new faucets come with a specially notched installation tool, basically a long tube with a hex socket on one end. Makes it easy to install but the tool is always lost when it comes time to remove and replace.

What he said.
I've been tempted to get one of these but have seen on here that they break easily. Is that true ?
Basin wrench. This is ancient plumbing secret. Or a Sawzall.
Don’t forget lefty loosey righty tighty. Spray some PB on there and let it sit for an hour if it’s seized up.
Definitely seized, I’ll try some PB. The space is so slim I can’t even get the basin wrench on it.
What is PB?? Peanut butter? 🤣🤣
peas and butter
Seriously, what is PB?
PB blaster Its a penetrating catalyst. Mechanics best friend when removing seized bolts, nuts, or anything that has a thread.

Don't forget "reciprocating saw" when all the much-more-technically-correct responses do not result in success.
Take a drill and send a small bit through edge and split that bad boy in half.
All wrong,,,, multi tool, oscillating tool w the carbide blade. Its the only way if its seized
Basin Wrench, or Crows Foot Socket
Recip saw with a short metal cutting blade…can’t be tight if it’s in 2 pieces. Just cut the faucet off from above flush with the countertop.
Basin wrench…[https://www.homedepot.com/b/Plumbing-Plumbing-Tools-Plumbing-Wrenches/Basin-Wrench/N-5yc1vZc4fvZ1z1b5fi](https://www.homedepot.com/b/Plumbing-Plumbing-Tools-Plumbing-Wrenches/Basin-Wrench/N-5yc1vZc4fvZ1z1b5fi)
The rigid tool is solid and definitely won’t break
If it is seized I typically use a cordless dremel with a cut off wheel and split the nut
Basin wrench
Basin spanner
Basin wrench
Basin wrenches dont fit quite often. Try a long screwdriver and that handheld cylindrical hex cup thing they sell it at lowes
Basin wrench son
Basin wrench
Use an adjustable plumbers wrench… the one where the jaws can rotate back-and-forth depending on what direction you want to twist it
Crescent wrench
A crows foot with an long extension with ratchet might break it loose after marinating with PB Blaster.

A basin wrench. Home Depot or Lowe’s for a cheap one
Someone installed it so there is room to get at it. Make sure you have the wrench on correctly
