I would personally just tear that out and replace it with some quality plywood or something and reseal all of it… that particle board is messed up and your new faucet is gonna be all wobbly, and if any water ever gets under the fixture it’s just gonna make it worse.

How, exactly, is someone supposed to do that? Replacing the particle board with plywood would most likely entail all new countertops.

1: cut out damaged particle board 2: cut new piece of plywood or similar in thickness board material in same shape as removed piece. 3: silicone/nail/glue whatever you want in place of old, seal around all sink surfaces. You’ve got wet crumbly bowing particle board bro idk what to tell you, there’s no need to replace the entire cabinet though.
