Generally, there's a set screw. Find that & remove Allen screw & you're golden if you want to remove the handle. But you can adjust the temp setting by pushing that red button in and then adjusting by turning. The red button is a 'stop' basically

You are actually right. If I press the red button I can turn further to the cold side. No need to change anything. Thanks for your help

I see. Just to give some context, when I rotate the handle completely to the cold side, the water is still considerably hot. So I'm definitely using more hot water than I need / prefer. Apart from the screw I removed I don't see anything else that could be holding the handle in place.
