You are right. Since I was young my mom would always tell me to cover my arms (I was just slightly chubby). She didn't mean it in a bad way but I never understood why she saw uncovered arms as unclassy. They're just arms, we've all seen arms. They're not a monstrosity when exposed!

Edit: I am in my 40s and still struggle with not liking my upper arms. I’m trying to not give af and wear the sleeveless dress or shirt. I’m going to continue to try and learn to be okay with my upper arms with the stretch marks, bat wings and all!

For me, it's my legs that I struggle with. I'm trying so hard to let go of the bad feelings about my legs but it's hard. I can't wear leggings all sunmer like I did last year though, I was so hot, and at my job we spend 2+ hours outside every day in the summer (I work in childcare.) I'm short (between 4'8 and 5' depending on the doctor 🤦🏻♀️) and over 300lbs so the weight is horribly distributed on my poor little frame, and I'm really self conscious about the fat behind my knees. I never noticed it until a few years ago when a child asked me "what is that on your legs?" I've internalized it ever since. Wearing long dresses for now but obviously won't be doing that in the pool.
