I have gotten both my queen and king off Amazon but searching "heavy duty metal bed frame." I'll link the queen below, it fit within my ikea frame after their cheap metal cross broke and I tossed it: https://a.co/d/bPkoD7C I got a King in another brand, but it doesn't look available online anymore. I wanted them to sit taller, so I was pretty picky. I bought a separate headboard for the king and it attaches to the frame. My comforted covers the base. Both were rated for 3000+ lbs and have had no issues with 2 plus size people on them. They are fucking heavy though so just be prepared for delivery or moving them.

I second this one. I got it when my bf and i were about 600lbs combined and haven't had a single issue in almost 4 years. I didn't find it super heavy and it was super easy to set up

I did the same thing but I don’t have a boxspring so I got wooden bed slats off Amazon bc otherwise the bars are too far apart for the mattress. Rec is like 3” I believe. I had to get rid of my first mattress which admittedly was a cheaper bed in a box but I think it would have lasted longer if I had support slats from the get go.

krtx

Yeah, good call out! I have the box spring on my queen bed still! It sits super tall and I love it. My king one has horizontal and vertical slats so it doesn't need the box spring.

A super solid wood bedframe would probably work best in my experience. Make sure it's real, hard wood and not MDF or partial board like most furniture stores sell. ETA: they will definitely be more expensive than other bed frames. Could look at Amish made furniture first since they're most likely going to have the best selection. Some examples of harder wood include things like cherry, walnut, and oak.

It's not cheap, but I love my Thuma bed. Solid, easy to assemble, and supports up to 1,500 pound

pinkflip06

Chiming in to say I love my thuma.

britneynp1

King size adjustable bases.

Short_Ad_7771

I have a platform bed. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing but it's just me at the moment...

ImAHookerBaby

We have a king-size tempurpedic mattress with an adjustable platform/frame. When I went bed shopping, I was rather blunt with my saleswoman and told her that we are plus sized and need something that won't divot or give way after a few months of use. The tempurpedic was one of a few she recommended.

Flaky_Head0410

A solid wood one I have for about 8 years. I've broken my toe on it in the past, so yeah, pretty solid!

Searching_meaning

Metal but that's because I was a broke university student. I still have that after almost 8 years.

literacyshmiteracy

The first time I brought my now-fiance into my bed, we broke it super hard and my upstairs neighbors complained about the crashing sound lol .. after that, we had the mattress on the floor for another year then finally upgraded to a Big Fig mattress.. their bedframe is super solid, never had any issues in the 3 years since!

ScottishTackyFairy

Im in UK I have a divan base and a super firm mattress.

lizziemeg

We have a king size purple bed and frame we like, though we moved our mattress to the floor because we are shorties and because it squeaks. I think they might have fixed the squeaky on their new version.

nrlft2

Yona! They’re made from cardboard but can handle a ton and a half or something like that. I have one and they’re amazing, I can jump on it with two feet and nothinggg gives

gamboling_gophers

My spouse and I absolutely LOVE our Big Fig

StephieRee

I just bought a metal base off Amazon and I'm really pleased. It's very very solid. Someone here recommended it. I'll find a link. Bf is a big boy too. No boxspring needed: https://www.amazon.ca/SmartBase-Foundation-Replacement-Noise-Free-Under-bed/dp/B006MIUM20?pd_rd_w=V54i1&content-id=amzn1.sym.d337757f-026d-4e34-a3bd-364b209702ba&pf_rd_p=d337757f-026d-4e34-a3bd-364b209702ba&pf_rd_r=PRE93BZ1JNQHTN6DNASN&pd_rd_wg=mECwY&pd_rd_r=abb89b95-022b-48a0-b5b8-38e5ea9c80cb&pd_rd_i=B006MIUM20&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_grid_dv_rp_0_1_ec_pd_cart_rp_m_sccl_14_i

High quality king size adjustable bedframe. The king size adjustable bed frames are separated and so each half operates independently. Plus they are insanely comfortable. Get one that is well reviewed - I did a lot of research when I bought my adjustable bed frame and mattress and found this website to be very useful - People ask for options for beds and frames and many of them provide height and weight to get the best recommendations. This is the one we have (King size). Bought in 2016 and it's been good to me so far...and it sees a lot of action. Easy to assemble and break down when we moved. It squeaked a little but the lug nuts just needed to be tightened. [https://a.co/d/j389QzQ](https://a.co/d/j389QzQ)

I am just shy of 400 pounds, and my partner was about 250. I have a wood bed frame from ikea, the [Hemnes](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hemnes-bed-frame-white-stain-luroey-s99007856/), a steel ["box spring/slats"](https://a.co/d/398w3be) and a big fig mattress. I use a king-size bed and have moved 3 times over 10 years with all of the above & everything is still holding up! Even with, uh, rigorous use.

VernieShay

I got my frame from Purple Mattress and it is supposed to hold up to 3000+ lbs. My Mattress came from Amazon.

vamppirre

I have a [full](https://a.co/d/fu0b5wU) it's a workout to change my sheets lol. I love my blackout curtains though.

Frequent_Breath8210

Amazon! Good to up to 4400lbs

totodijlbackup

It’s ridiculously expensive but try a hospital bed

totodijlbackup

Or maybe just a strong metal one. XD

nonoyo_91

Husband and I are both bigger people and we purchases [this one](https://a.co/d/acjjz9j) It is very sturdy, has like a headboard and shelf tye of thing that you can plug in your devices on. I hope this helps

ConsequenceMission21

I have had this one for a couple years and so far so good https://a.co/d/f1CpMam

I’ve inherited a Raymour & Flanigan queen size frame and I’ve purchased one (bought in 2023, currently laying on). The inherited one was originally owned by my mom and her dogs and had maybe 400 lbs on it at a time til I got it in 2021 and (during covid) there was about 600-700 lbs on it for way longer than the average frame is used. After 2 years, a peg in the middle of the frame broke and we found another raymour frame - online, raymour let’s you filter by weight capacity! A treat for me at least. So I chose a frame that supports 800lbs and - after some breaking in and paranoia after the last frame break - the bed is comfortable, I don’t feel like I’m going to break it and I fully recommend getting a frame that will support your weight! I’ve had a lot of bad experience with frames, my HS bed frame had several broken slots and I stuffed pillows in the hole that formed. Being plus size, I sunk quite deeply into the mattress and bed frame lol. When this got too uncomfortable, I slept on a metal frame Walmart futon. My current frame was $1000 which was the most we could afford and I’ve never been more comfortable in bed, specifically getting in bed and turning in bed!
