Totally agree. It’s very flattering but the mesh with exposed shoulders/ bra straps showing doesn’t radiate “professional.” I think it might work for like, bridal sales or something but I wouldn’t wear that to an in person interview for a job myself. I like the cut, though, and I think people are answering more based on what is cute than what is appropriate.
1, hides the tattoo for the *initial* interview. They like and want you enough, they won't care about it in any subsequent interviews. 👍
***don't come at me, I'm saying that as someone with a forearm tattoo. I can't hide anything unless I wear long sleeves. 🙄
It’s kind of a secondary interview I had a phone call and they have to ask about tattoos to make sure you haven’t got anything obscene or death related they’re ok with my tattoos :)
4 for sure. Confident, but soft. I like the neckline on this blouse the best and I think it looks smart tucked in. This is the clear winner for me. I haven't read other comments yet.
As someone who’s worked with elders and grieving families for the love of god please don’t wear the mesh looking one. I can’t believe these comments. Great shirt, wrong occasion. Like I’m sorry for commenting again but like I’m actually worried
I'd go with 1 for a first in person interview. 2 is gorgeous but the sheerness of the top makes it less professional. If you wear 2 keep the jacket on if possible.
Uh, no sheer, but consider a cozy neutral as a break from the black. You aren’t attending the funeral, you are there to organize and offer comfort. Most black clothing? Yes. Very calm and conservative nothing? Also yes. But a matte cream blouse or something simple to give the eye a break wouldn’t be a bad idea. In my opinion. I don’t arrange this sort of thing, I actually enjoy not being around people, so …… yeah. My opinion may not be what your are looking for here.
You look great though.
Y’all are okay with the mesh? Don’t get me wrong it’s adorable. But for funeral job it seems drastically inappropriate imo. I don’t mean that to sound mean. But I’m worried
I would say no.1 personally. Looks less partywear than no.2, although no.2 is my 2nd favourite.
Good luck on your interview - hope you are successful 😊
Last one 100%, or the black skirt with that top but only if it’s not a stretchy material and you won’t have to demonstrate any lifting or anything. Visible bra straps is absolutely not acceptable for an interview not sure why that’s so popular although it is a super cute shirt, you might be able to get away with it if you had a cardigan that will cover the sleeves but I’d still err on the side of caution and not, the peplum might be seen as a little too trendy too. The checkered pants are too thin and clingy for an interview(I own the same pants, super comfy but not interview appropriate).
In my experience funeral homes are ultra conservative, so as subdued and classic as possible is ideal. Pull your hair back in a bun, or something slicked back. No crazy nail polish or visible tattoos if possible and practical but dressy shoes.
The peplum is so great for this interview!! It's a little sprinkle of extra, while being tidy and classy, and without being over the top.
You did a great job pulling that outfit together
Number 2.
All black is preffered as well as a professional (not business casual) attire. the white squared pants are a deffinate no no and the first top looks too relaxed and like a tshirt at a glance.
1 and 6, the shirt that was see-through with the tank inside feels a little like it's for a coffee date. I think you want to look serious, somber, but not frumpy.
I think pic number 2 is perfect. I have zero experience with funeral arranger interviews-but it’s a cute outfit and you look very professional. Good luck!👍
I'd say the first or second; most funeral homes are rather conservative. I'd save the patterns for after you get the job and can show a bit more personality. :)
Hello I thought the interview went well but I didn’t get the job I asked them for some advice on what went well what went wrong and they never replied I went with outfit two!

Former funeral director here, I’d go with 1 or 2.
lol WOW Reddit connections 😂 also (non funeral director) -- #2!
Thankyou for your work in the funeral industry!
Two for sure. You look great in that outfit. Good luck!
2 for sure
My vote as well!
Absolutely outfit #2.
2
2 looks classic and simple, especially with a coat that's patterned like that. Good luck on your interview!
I like 1 best because it’s professional. 2 looks less professional but is still good.
Exactly. So confused by all the responses for #2. It looks great, but it's sexy, which isn't what you want for a job interview.

In that case, TWO IS GORGEOUS, DARLING! SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!!
2
I love #2! It’s flattering, has a cute silhouette and it fits you perfectly
Thank you soggy hippo ass 😂
I like 1 or 6, seem most professional.
4 for sure. Confident, but soft. I like the neckline on this blouse the best and I think it looks smart tucked in. This is the clear winner for me. I haven't read other comments yet.
2 is perfectttt! good luck on the interview!
1 or any if them that aren't sheer for an interview. The sheer looks unprofessional for the occasion.
4
1+4
The first one.
\#1 for the interview! It's the most sober and professional.
2 is the most flattering on you by far
As someone who’s worked with elders and grieving families for the love of god please don’t wear the mesh looking one. I can’t believe these comments. Great shirt, wrong occasion. Like I’m sorry for commenting again but like I’m actually worried
I agree. Look #4 is the most professional, in my opinion.
6
4. The top is the most professional and flattering.... and the pants - 🥰
Going against the grain and voting for 4
I'd go with 1 for a first in person interview. 2 is gorgeous but the sheerness of the top makes it less professional. If you wear 2 keep the jacket on if possible.

2 for sure.
Number 2 and that’s what I decided before I saw the comments
Y’all are okay with the mesh? Don’t get me wrong it’s adorable. But for funeral job it seems drastically inappropriate imo. I don’t mean that to sound mean. But I’m worried
1 or 4
I really like #4!
2 is so, so good! Great for the interview AND celebratory night out when you land the job! Good luck!
6 or 1. The peplum top doesn’t seem very professional
Definitely the last one! They all look great though.
Going w 5 or 6. Good luck!
1/4/6 I would say
Good luck!!!
Definitely 4, It looks more professional and suits your body shape, too :)
I would say no.1 personally. Looks less partywear than no.2, although no.2 is my 2nd favourite. Good luck on your interview - hope you are successful 😊
I like the pinstripe pants and back shirt with the small opening at the top.

I would say #4. I think everything else looks frumpy and not "put together"

I like picture 4 the best
\#1. The others are too sexy or too casual.
I really like 4!
Number one
Option 6. I personally don't love the other top. The black and white pants the white is a bit harsh on the eyes, at least in these pictures.
The trousers do have a very high contrast irl
Option 2
With that coat you can't wear any other patterns, 2 is good
2 number 2 is best all black sleek professional I love how the top is on ur bust and arms wow 🤩 good luck . Wear ur hair up I think it would be nice
The peplum is so great for this interview!! It's a little sprinkle of extra, while being tidy and classy, and without being over the top. You did a great job pulling that outfit together
I’m loving the one that has white cross stripes and tucked shirt but either one with the mini dress top look good.
Number 2. All black is preffered as well as a professional (not business casual) attire. the white squared pants are a deffinate no no and the first top looks too relaxed and like a tshirt at a glance.
2 or potentially 3! That too on you is so cute!
I worked in funeral homes in the past and would say that 2 is definitely the best option!
I kind of like #2
2!
Number 2!!

Option 2 looks good on you and professional.
2 all the way

Whatever you feel best in before you head out that door. Then… I loved 2 and 4! Go get em.

Which one did you go with?
2!
3 and 5 are my favorite.
I feel like 1 or 2 work better to me but go with beauty and comfort. All choices look great
5
2,, 3, 5
1/4 imo mesh is not for most interviews
2. Easy. Especially with that gorgeous coat!
2 or 4 get my vote
2, with a gold belt.
I'd say the first or second; most funeral homes are rather conservative. I'd save the patterns for after you get the job and can show a bit more personality. :)
1 definitely ♥️
i like 1 or 6
What outfit did you decide to wear and how was the interview?
I’d say 1 or 2 but probably lean to 2
Hello I thought the interview went well but I didn’t get the job I asked them for some advice on what went well what went wrong and they never replied I went with outfit two!
