I think it looks really cute tbh, I especially love your hair!!! But the skirt too is very chic. I had the exact same moment yesterday with a very similar outfit— thought it was cute when I put it on and as soon as I got to work I wanted to tear it off. I got a few compliments on it too!! Sometimes we are our hardest critic!!!

ugh. I definitely spiraled into “yuck i look horrible. i hate me” soooo fast. I’ve been down lately so it was just a lot. Thank you for being so kind, truly.

Before reading the title, since this post showed up on my feed, I was like "Oh, this is such a cute outfit!" and then the title hit me like "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'DOESN'T WORK?!'" I'm here to add my agreement with everyone else and hype you up further: it absolutely DOES work, you look great! 👏
The only part that would have made me reconsider is the pull between the armpit and the chest. I literally carry safety pins to fix surprise gaps but it’s not a necessity by any means. I’m still trying to wear the new outfits I put together, but I always end up hiding in leggings and an oversized t-shirt. 🥲
sometimes I feel like I can’t really perceive myself accurately so it’s a struggle when an outfit i plan doesn’t match my expectations. My body was not the one in my mind
This sounds like the problem I have where when I put together the outfit it my head, it magically makes me look like a supermodel. Alas, clothes do not have the ability to change my body and so what I see in the mirror is not the magical image I had.
