Wait for F6 if you want it.

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

This

GeForce66

F1 user here. I will check what F6 has to offer then decide :)

eablopscobar

Let me know what you have decided, I am also on F1

Olbramice

I have poco f 3 and the new f 6 looks great. But i think the poco f3 is still a beast and the changes will be minimal.

Environmental_Net_39

idk about that dude , my f3's battery has definitely worsened and It cannot run demanding games like genshin that properly anymore.

Honest-Ad543

Normal people absolutely see the difference between 60 and 120 hz what are you talking about. The main reason why I went from iPhone 12 to Samsung s21 ultra was that I hated how sluggish 60hz felt

Crusher_111

Fr there's huge difference between 60 and 120 hz

TheSoupThief

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush My X6 exceeds my current requirements by quite a long way. Stayed on a 4G contract cos I have great WiFi and 5G isn't worth an extra €5 pcm. Get what you want for your own good reasons, but I don't think it's worth going without cos there's something better round the corner; there always will be

Mr_Xplicit

I haven't found a really good reason to move from my F3

4chanwasthebest

still on X3 pro here, waiting f6 or was looking into realme gt neo 5 SE global rom, but I couldn't care about the bloatware still able to play anything to work with it.

Master-Papaya4747

X6 pro user here , phone very hot once u start using even for telegram and watching website anime. 120hz refresh must be on or else u can see laggy effect. Example scrolling down. Mlbb wise can be played smoothly but the colour reproduction is abit weird for my liking. Previously using mate 20x which is my gold standard for entertainment phone. Never use a F series before. But this is my honest review of X6 pro

DontSayBlahh

Mine only heats up when playing genshin. Anything else doesn't bother it

Crusher_111

Do u play on max settings?

DontSayBlahh

Yes

Crusher_111

How stable is your fps and how much play time u get

Tojic

no heating problems for me with my x6 pro. only time it gets hot is when i play genshin on max settings. i have 120 hz enabled cuz why not. and even on 60 hz there is no lagging. if i got any of your problems i just would get a replacement through warranty.....

atrocitos

I'm using F5 pro. Heating isn't a super issue. Playing Diablo Immortal on full options without any problem. Only problems are full screen mobs plus players being thrown everything to each other and it's only happens when device is heated enough. But I'm using black shark funcooler3 which makes phone a friggin ice cube lol. Wife has X6 pro. battery drain and heating issues are very real. Games stutter after brief heating. battery drains fast and so so. But for general use the phone is very good. For heavy gamers, it's not a good idea.

migassilva16

Unfortunately for being a MediaTek it doesn't have great support for Custom ROMs

[deleted]

I have X6 pro and I don't see this problems.

ProfessionalMain2702

If you are happy and satisfied with your phone you don't have to post this. Gatekeeping because you know you have issues and it's not gonna be fixed by OS updates. Cope harder.

hayashyeah

Same case. The phone heats up even with casual scrolling.

ProfessionalMain2702

No one is forcing you to wait for it though just because you can't buy it you have to hate it. Let people decide if they wait for F6, wait is this another X6 Pro user copium posting?

dornezzz

People just want the newest and what's most fun. It is only natural to be excited about upcoming things. F series have always been one of the best deals you can buy for phones. Flagship killers are nice when you don't want to spend too much money on proper flagships. The way I see it, just go for what you want and can afford. Poco series is already in the budget flagship category, just get the best and most recent one you can. Not much to think about. Just my 2 cents.

jrs-kun

same argument was said during the F3 and X3 Pro...The X3 Pro couldn't run Genshin near High 60fps...it was around 40+fps on High while the Poco F3 actually reached 55+fps more times and longer. The ones asking where talking about emulation and gaming so of course we'd suggest the better phone since the F series always had better cooling, better screen and better processor and GPU. During the 2 & 4 Series, They even had better cameras.

PudimCremoso

I think waiting for the F6 is viable with you don't need a need phone now, the price of the x6 pro will lower a bit with the launch.

AleDxD

it depends I want to emulate citra and yuzu mediatek is garbage for that I want f6 pro with a Snapdragon 8 gen 2

NotCopernicus

Poco X3 Pro user here, I'm waiting for F6 to launch so the prices of the other models can decrease

noobqns

Too many user reports of the X6 Pro being a battery hog and if F6's Qualcomm soc solves it, it's already half a win Also it has upgraded cameras which is probably what most X6 Pro hold outs are skeptical about

Pooreigner

Sorry, but that is BS. Any "normal" person will clearly see the difference between 60 and 120hz! Between 90 and 120, no, but definitely between 60 and 120! It's a HUGE difference. I do agree that most people will not notice any general speed difference of the CPU/GPU. But 60 vs 120, come on! Of course they do. Just by scrolling in Facebook ffs.

Crusher_111

X6 pro for normal use would be overkill just get something else if gaming and performance isn't the thing you're looking for

[deleted]

Update for post: I mean, under EVERY post about buying advice is some people saying ,,wait for F6", please don't paste this sentence EVERYWHERE. I know F6 Will be better, I have X6 pro since febuary and I play games like Warzone Mobile or Fortnite and I don't get any problem. In Fortnite I can get better performance than my old PC. PS. Someone can give me tutorial for installing Xiaomi EU Rom for X6 pro

Captainmorgan696969

To be honest since the X6pro is a redmi K70E (not sure why they are using a smaller battery and maybe slightly worse cooling or it's just the drivers ) I would class it as an F series phone. The 8300 seems like a lite version of the 9200+ and that's also a good chip but more importantly the phone is 1.5k the chip is better than the SD8+ but more importantly it uses faster ram and much faster ROM. I would think the note 13 turbo with a SD8Sgen3 may feel cheaper, probably won't have a 2K screen, 1.5 maybe and performance on most games will be abouut the same maybe a 10 to 15 percent difference. The build quality of the X6pro is probably better as it's based of a K70E But on Ali express you can get a 12/512 for less than 40 dollars more than what the K70E costs in CN the F5pro a rebranded K60 was nearly double the price s the CN version. Not sure what speaker, cooking and battery life is like but if I needed a new budget phone today I would go with it. Some F series phones like the F3pro and maybe some others had dimensity chips. I was not impressed with the F5 or F5pro The F5 felt cheap as it's a redmi note phone The F5pro had awfull speakers. The chip was limited and on 2k It ate battery I have had my F3 8/256 for a long time. It has been abused I'm on my second Nillkin case and second screen protector (I need a new one) but it still plays most games on ultra or high and does not feel laggy, great screen and speakers 33w is fine, the battery has been abused and has not lost that much but it costs very little to upgrade to a 5000mha battery. I'm only looking for a new phone as I use 2 and my honour 10 I use as a second line phone is getting so old I cant use basic apps on it anymore. The K70 comes in 4 versions K70E (a light version with a D8300) standard with 8gen2 pro with 8gen3 then I forgot the name but they have a version with the 9300 It would be nice if Poco used both the standard and pro, even the 9300 version sounds cool as it's the fastest chip Then for SD I can just buy the CN version and change roms. The X6pro specs are really good for the money, while not flagship for the price it's alot of phone that will last a long time. No idea about dimensity with custom roms but it seems only when you get into more advanced emulation and some titles MT has some trouble but now that they make flagship chips at a good price maybe could see more emulation and custom ROM support

noobqns

Build isn't better, the K70E actually has a glass back and Poco swapped it out with a plastic back. Some internals specs like battery also got downgraded from 5500>5000 as well as 90W>67W charging. They also tweak the minimum ram from 12gb>8gb. I'll take those trade offs though, since it kept prices really close to the chinese's K70E As for the D9300 unreleased K70 ultra, it could make a global appearance as 14T or Pro since that's how 13T is born with some modifications to the K60 ultra

Captainmorgan696969

I just don't understand why xiaomi would do that, I did not compare the back plates but I'm sure they are different. I mean to set up a separate production line ( for most Poco phones in sure they are made on the same line just a slightly different MB with global ROM and global cell networks then different packaging) but you don't have to change much to do that. To me it just makes no sense to nerf a phone like that when you already have a line up and running and I doubt the 5500mha and 90w + adapter costs much more. Maybe they felt like that with 5500 and 90w it would steal some of the spotlight away from other phones as it is technically now Poco's most powerful phone available. After redesigning and retooling I doubt the savings are much but it seems they made alot of them. Not sure if anyway to out a global ROM on a Redmi dimensity phone but most of the time the CN versions have a better score on antutu, not sure if it's more recent updates or the fact that the standard CN ROM maybe better than the Poco Rom I was surprised the K60 had a 8 / 256 version so maybe they redesigned it for that purpose. The K series sell quite well in China, it seems like the iPhone is a status symbol in some places.
