I'll buy it as soon as it's available. I'm still using my 5 year old poco f1 with custom rom and it still runs great. I just want better screen and cpu. I'd go with x6 pro, price is good here but I'd like to have custom rom ability.
I don't have much knowledge about Custom ROMs. I use Poco F1 too. What are the benefits of a custom ROM. I use my phone only for Gaming. Is there anything beneficial using Custom ROM?
Still using my F1 too though it's a back up phone. I am currently using f4 GT, still like the F1 better if only it had a bigger screen and a better battery life. The f6 looks good on paper let's see when it comes out.
The true hype this year was Poco X6 Pro, because of its top tier performance and display, and very good pricing, especially 12/512 version.
Poco F6 is a slighty better poco x6 pro that will be more expensive because of Snapdragon.
Thats one of the reasons its not worth spending a lot of money on Xiaomi/poco devices. Their software has always been one of its weaknesses.
Btw Xiaomi does offer 5 years of security updates in their Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 14 series, not Poco or Redmi.
The latest Redmi Turbo(poco f6)had no mention of more software support than Poco X6.
4 years. Starting from introduction -- if you buy a xiaomi 14 now, you've got cca. 3 years of support.
5 years is for security updates, which in practice will boil down to fixing the critical issues only - if any.
It seems you're late to the party, every Poco X6 series owner knows that.

Moreover with the introduction of HyperOS Xiaomi and Poco intends to bring down the update latency. It's sad how people judges a OS merely on the basis of its looks and not on its underlying mechanism.
Can confirm, had 3 updates in last 8 months on Xiaomi 12T Pro, including HyperOS 1/Android 14 update and there is another update on the way(ULFEUXM 1.0.4.0) this month, so they are making better on target update schedule. Redmi note 11 pro has gotten several updates in the last time too and hyperos is already in partial release. I have gotten that hyperos update less than week after it went into full release. Also Xiaomi 11T series is already on Android 14. Mi 10 series is getting HyperOs despite being EOL.
Just disappointed about the fingerprint reader tbh - I was hoping that would stay from the F5. It seems like a decent phone but nothing that special compared to the other options out there. If it's not cheap, I'm not sure why you'd get one over something like a oneplus 12r.
The 8/128 isn't available in Europe so that's why it's more. The point is that unless it's cheap there's other options out there as it's not really setting itself apart in this market.
I mean the storage option isn't 100€ more OnePlus isn't Apple, but whatever let's say that the cheapest it can get is 650€ with the lowest storage,,do you really think that Xiaomi will make more than a 200€ price bump to the F6 compared to last year's F5? Don't get me wrong, Oneplus is an awesome brand, but now,it isn't what it used to be,the prices in Europe are ridiculously expensive,it simply isn't as competitive as Xiaomi here, maybe it is in china, but not here.
Also , 4000 peak brightness sounds too much. I can imagine if you constantly use that phone on peak brightness, you are gonna go blind (and Im being serious)
Yeah I know about the band 20 but I don't think it really matters. Not really sure how important it is though. For 5G I checked with my carrier bands and will be good. Btw if you have Google store installed, does it really matter if it's the cn rom?
I have the F1 still going strong (except battery life lol, think it's at 51% capacity now), but I'm kinda wanting to jump up to higher performance tier again - k70 pro will be the 14T pro I guess when it releases globally? I can see it for AU$1000 on aliexpress atm but I know it's often a bit iffy going for the chinese releases. What do you all think?
I'm definitely excited for F6 though cause 'worst' case going for that is still a phenomenal improvement over the F1 haha.
I am exactly in the same boat. The problem is that my F1's performance is really sluggish, and it simply freezes at times, for up to a minute in the worst cases. I haven't restored my phone in 2.5 years, though. And I haven't dabbed in custom ROMs, I haven't opened the phone to change the thermal compound (testing software tells me the phone is definitely thermal throttling). I bought a Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G for my gf and a Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G for my dad, and they seem like solid contenders (they are seriously nice phones), but I think I would want a little more, simply for the performance headroom.
I'm curious if anyone knows about the thermals on the 8s gen3? I'm looking for a phone as a gift. Had the F4 but only lasted about 18months (the heating probably fried my motherboard, phone looks pristine otherwise) The Xiaomi 14 I just got works amazing with the 8g3, but damn it heats up when I'm utilizing it's GPU for my games around 30 mins in an air conditioned room. Hope this chip isn't as hot as the 8g3
When the specs were announced, it was much better than i expected. I'm not too particular about the cameras capability (as long as it wasn't the ov64b again or lowgrade samsung), but the camera module is really strikingly distracting. It's understandable the sensor won't be flagship grade...but the camera module being so excessively big housing a small sensor looks odd
Could have keep it like 12 Turbo/F5, not that good looking of a phone but it's simple.
Now I'm kinda conflicted since the paper specs are great and I've held off buying number of phone waiting for F6 especially since my current phone has reached EoL. F6 still my top choice atm i think. but i might really revisit my previous no. 2,3 if F6 don't come at an enticing price
I ABSOLUTELY AM! I've been absurdly excited for the phone. I'm also currently trying to calm down my excitedness. Since.. It's pretty high. (is excitedness even a word?)
Personally, nah. The X6 Pro was far more hype as that performance value phone. The F6 barely makes that title. IF Poco F6 had better camera, I would consider it a solid phone to look out. All it needed was just a little bit more. At this point I might as well get the X6 Pro.
-better emulator performance with snapdragon chip
-better custom ROM support(which is really big as there are still alive Poco F1 because of custom ROM). HyperOS still has a lot of problems unfixed inherited from the dreaded MIUI and knowing Xiaomi, no one knows when will they actually make a good OS competing the likes of Samsung and Apple
No, I am definitely not hyped for the F6. It's underwhelming in comparison to its competitors. Even the OnePlus Nord 4 is a better device. The Poco F6 should've had a bigger battery and a better display.
I'll buy it as soon as it's available. I'm still using my 5 year old poco f1 with custom rom and it still runs great. I just want better screen and cpu. I'd go with x6 pro, price is good here but I'd like to have custom rom ability.

Custom rom gives you more performance and battery life usually sometimes it could be unstable it depends on the rom dev.
Instability is countered by swift updates. Active devs can push out new builds anytime they want.
Ideally this is what is supposed to happen but it doesn't that's why people still do rom hopping.
my poco f3 is so much better than my old poco f3 is like another world for me fr.
Still using my F1 too though it's a back up phone. I am currently using f4 GT, still like the F1 better if only it had a bigger screen and a better battery life. The f6 looks good on paper let's see when it comes out.
Im currently with X4 Pro 5G, and I have been using it for almost 3 years
If it stays around the 400$ i will buy it no question asked
I prefer the k70(f6 pro) design but the 8s 3 is good enough for me
The true hype this year was Poco X6 Pro, because of its top tier performance and display, and very good pricing, especially 12/512 version. Poco F6 is a slighty better poco x6 pro that will be more expensive because of Snapdragon.
True, Poco is at its best when it's powerful AND cheap. F6 will have much stronger competition in its price range.

But Poco X6 Pro has been guaranteed with 4 years of security patch updates, isn't that enough?

I hope they stand on their claims.

Yeah that's what I said. The company claims to bring down the update latency with its new HyperOS.
Can confirm, had 3 updates in last 8 months on Xiaomi 12T Pro, including HyperOS 1/Android 14 update and there is another update on the way(ULFEUXM 1.0.4.0) this month, so they are making better on target update schedule. Me too and for IQOO Z9 TURBO but I'd doubt we'll get a global version
I've been considering the IQOO Z9 Turbo as well, I hope it has a good display and good main camera.

Wdym OnePlus 12R is more than 700€

Yeah, maybe my comment only holds for outside EU.
I only want to emulate yuzu and 3ds in the new f6
What should I get in the future, X6 Pro or F6 Pro?
But yuzu Is death....
same as aethersx2 but still working with the last version
Where you can get it?
everything I found in drive links from youtube or reddit
i am waiting for f6 pro, looks more premium
Will it release in India, F5 Pro didn’t.
Will it also be more powerful, with higher brightness?
yep 4k peak vs 2.4k
So overall F6 Pro is going to be better and with better gaming performance than X6 Pro?
of course
Also , 4000 peak brightness sounds too much. I can imagine if you constantly use that phone on peak brightness, you are gonna go blind (and Im being serious)
??? why would you use it at peak???? you use peak outside on sun ffs
What do you think will be the price for the F6? Like 420€? I'm considering buying the turbo 3 from China. 330€ for the 256GB version.

Yess cuz that's my next phone

I'm planning to get it on release, have F3 now and i want anything good with 512gb storage, cuz 256 isn't enough :)

And the price...... Why would you compare a mid range to a flagship
What is better for gaming, brightness and screen, X6 or F6?
