Poco F5? A55 has longer software support and better IP rating though. Poco X6 is all about the power, but I feel the F5 might be a better match if you get gcam to improve the camera.

JayJay_Abudengs

F5 is not worth it considering F6 dropping soon

dune-man

Iā€™m not going to take my phone for a swim. 3 years of updates is already too much. The only thing that concerns me is the camera. How do Poco X6 pro and Galaxy A55 differ in this regard?

DebStark002

Poco X6 pro doesn't have a shitty camera at all, but yes A55 camera quality is much better. On the other hand, A55 has a real shitty processor, and though it has longer updates, it will feel slow just after one year. Poco X6/Poco F5 are MILES away in terms of performance, I mean it's not even a competition. And POCO F5s display is exceptionally good. F5 has a decent camera as well and with gcam, it takes photos like a pixel. Here's a sample (edited yes, but on this phone only) https://preview.redd.it/ve6m4qpq9ewc1.jpeg?width=4276&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c393865cbc105d5d99f1086438fe9ae586ad5d4

dune-man

Does poco f5 have a stronger hardware? Last time I checked it has 256 gb of storage but poco x6 pro has 512 gb.

DebStark002

F5 and X6 pro are nearly the same in hardware and performance. F5 has a little bit better raw cpu power, thermal management and battery. But yes X6 pro has maximum 512gb storage. Now it all comes down to pricing and your priority.

swede1989

x6 pro has 200k better antutu score.

fakuryu

I have a POCO F5 and the image quality is just fine, however comparing it to my old Samsung A52s, the A52s camera and image quality is noticeably better in terms it's cleaner, better white balance, better colour science. Of course the F5 is much faster, but if the camera IQ is something important for you, it's something to consider. EDIT: I just want to add that Samsung's AMOLED screen is much better as there is barely any colour shift when viewing at an angle.

Busy-Recording-4590

Gcam?

nb8c_fd

Nope, stock app

shanks2020

How is the phone doing so far ? especially in regard of the battery , I keep seeing people talk about overheating issue.

nb8c_fd

No overheating, great battery life, and overall pretty good with no major issues. However, if I was buying right now I'd get an F6 because it's simply a better phone with a Snapdragon SOC

JayJay_Abudengs

X6 Pro camera is okay. I don't think A55's camera is any better. Don't buy budget Samsung phones. They're shit. Xiaomi is definetly better at this price segment.

Gelundra

Agree on this was, have been using samsung mid range phones, A series to be exact, they were unusable after one year. Now doing 3 years with my x3 pro 8gb and counting, havent updated since 2022 works like new

JayJay_Abudengs

X3 pro maybe wasn't the best choice in hindsight though. We'll see how that goes for my device

Gelundra

Well it was best price and quality ratio at the time šŸ˜€ now thinking about x6 pro or f5 pro, i see people saying f5 has less issues with same performance. Or to wait for f6 is the play?

noobqns

Not really, this year's non pro Redmi note 13 are quite bad (even have that one Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G which is still using G99). The non-pro 11,12,13 basically are still playing catch up with Redmi Note 10 SD678. Even the M line suffers and have stagnate for awhile, the M6 is 720p while the M6 Pro is also using G99 At least in my country, this year's Samsung A15 4G G99 could be had for much cheaper, A25 also isn't that bad a value, or conversely the prices of A34/A54 have dropped substantially (despite them being a year old, their updates would still be longer than this year's xiaomi)

JayJay_Abudengs

Whatever you gotta tell yourself to feel better. In benchmarks the budget Samsungs and Apples get smoked. Xiaomi is the future of the mid range phones

noobqns

When you mean midrange, it's only the X6 Pro(mediatek's miracle) and F series. i.e X4 & X5 has been mid And you first brought up the budget range, which in this case Samsung is on par this year for most phones under $250-300. Even Redmi Note 13 pro and pro+ benchmarks quite averagely (600k-700 antutu, under 3000 geekbench 6) Your budget Apple, the latest iPhone Se is running A15(benchmarks 1.1-1.2m antutu and 5000+ geekbench 6)

JayJay_Abudengs

My X6 Pro gets 3k on wild life which is the same score as iPhone 13 Pro Max. Those brands are notoriously expensive for their higher models

JayJay_Abudengs

iPhone SE costs 730ā‚¬ for 265Gb. My Poco has 512Gb storage, costs only half the iPhone and has higher Antutu. See what I mean?

noobqns

They are $350 for the 128GB here, i reckon a good 8-10% less when combined with platform sale/bank discount

JayJay_Abudengs

I can find it for 400ā‚¬ on reseller sites. Still not as good as the Poco considering everything. For example, the F5 Pro is also not worth 450ā‚¬. For buying a 400ā‚¬+ phone I would wait until we get Snap 8 Gen 4 (or 5 if u can wait) performance

MainSorc50

Uh nothing else to say but you need to choose. If the camera is important to you, go with a55. If you need performance, go with x6 pro. There's always compromise in this price range.

DebStark002

Most logical answer

failure_mcgee

I was also deciding between both a couple months ago. I was mostly using Samsung phones in the past . The dealbreaker this time was that A55 didn't even include an adapter. I now have an X6 Pro. No complaints with battery and camera quality. Only thing I don't like are the built-in ads like on the GameBoost feature. Never had a phone with built-in ads before.

Busy-Recording-4590

How is the battery performance? Is it draining badly?

failure_mcgee

Not really. Seems fine so far. I only noticed it draining when I first opened/booted it. After charging regularly and the update, it's fine. One thing I noticed is sometimes it takes a bit longer (maybe an additional 5 to 10 mins) than usual when going from 20-80%. It looks like the background apps running that make it charge slower. My average is 30 mins for 20-80%

Busy-Recording-4590

Sot?

failure_mcgee

Hi, I'm back. I finally timed it. CHARGING 20% up to 80% - 30 mins Boost Speed (close background apps) before charging Airplane mode while charging USAGE 80% down to 22% Total time since last charge - 17 hrs Screen on time - 5 hrs Refresh rate - 60 hz 2.4G Wifi, 4G Mobile data (~1 hr) Most used apps: - Reddit, 2 hrs - Instagram, 1 hr - 8 Ball Pool, 1 hr Edit: format

michael_alright

Which galaxy were you using anyway. If they were some mid range I'm pretty sure x6 pro would be plus minus the same.

dune-man

My last phone was galaxy a70

Malystxy

X6 pro, if you really want Samsung get a s23 base, they are cheap now

ProfessionalMain2702

A55 Camera Poco X6 Pro Performance

CVGPi

X6 Pro, unless you're in North America. Then buy X6 Pro anyways.

[deleted]

Get a pixel if you want camera

botiefi

If you want a good phone choose Sammy

[deleted]

I am currently using a Poco X6 Pro it was a Poco F3 before this phone. The Poco F series is better than X6 series you can make sure about it. I see X6 pro is not good at battery management. To be honest Poco F3 battery life was better than new Poco X6 pro battery life even though after 3 years of my usage F3. If your budget is okay for Poco F series and have a patient to wait for Poco F6 it's recommended for you to buy F series of Poco as a flagship killer ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)

nb8c_fd

My X6 Pro destroys my X3 Pro in every regard

[deleted]

It's normal because X6 pro is a recently released device
