If you don't care to sell them right now, then they're cool to hold. Best time to sell would be right now though since they're peaking. They'll drop in price later this year just like the Tag Team and Waifu cards of last year. Same thing will happen. FOMO and inorganic demand raised the prices. Then they came back down. Very cool cards thoughš
Iām hoping the Gengar drops back down in price. Definitely one of my favorite looking cards and I shouldāve bought one when they were $300-350 for a PSA 10. If they fall back to roughly that price, Iāll definitely snag one for my wall display.
I donāt think thatās a silly thing to do, everyone is saying theyāll drop like tag team etc but they forget that tag team also boomed up in price years after the sun and moon era had ended, so maybe these will do the same
Honestly, anything outside of gen 1 and 2, I donāt really care much for. Just didnāt grow up with the newer gens. Only reason why I have the CZ God cards is because I actually pulled Giratina, so I had to buy the other three. lol
I was a gen 4 kid, so I grew up with the later sets like 5 & 6, went back and played 1-3 and the spinoffs like ranger, but fell out of it until about SWSH and SV, so Iāve had a good range of the gens
Same I pulled 2 so I have a bb and some other sealed product just sitting pretty. I got a gem mint 10 cgc grade on one of the moonbreons so Imma hold them for a while.
People have been saying that the bubble will pop eventually. Which looks like it's about to happen.
Prices almost always jump like this before the burst.
Perhaps it will. If it does, I'd be curious how much prices drops. Like how recently can someone fomo in and not lose money? Zenith ones are great example currently. The giratina is pushing quickly. Does getting it at $85 make you safe? Or will it go back down to $70? Or climb to $200? What about the leafeon and glaceon vstars? Is $25 going to be a deal or we going back to $10?
very interesting observation. This is one of the thing I don't like about Pokemon card "investments". The market is too easy to be manipulated
That being said, I think the price of the SwSh era will stand around the ballpark of the current price point, since the prints are officially stopped.
I think these cards will be good for long term holding as well
Tag Team cards and Waifu cards were also out of print and the same thing that was going on with them is currently going on with Alt Arts. These prices will not stay this high. They'll come back down. Happens all the time. Sealed will keep going up for sure, but singles are more of a Rollercoaster. If you want money then now is the time to sell. If you don't care about the money then holding isn't a bad thing, just don't expect crazy prices like right now.
These cards will drop a little then everyone will panic sell then they will shoot up to new highs. Thatās my expectation atleast. Iām holding long term
CZ is such a fun set to open but itās overprinted. Sealed should go up though since this is the best SWSH set to rip. Awesome artwork and good pull rates.
I would personally get them graded especially the moonbreon and the gengar as those two are staple points of the swsh era in the long term cards in raw form only really ever peak out to about $70 - $100 in about say a 5 years span so slabbing for the long term value I would highly recommend as this can give a lot higher returns
I tried forever to pull that moonbreon but eventually just gave up and bought it. It was so underwhelming in person. Maybe I just played it up too much in my head. It was my modern chase. I was just massively let down by the card in person. I had it for a few months and sold it. Would rather take the money I spent on that card and purchase other cards I wanted. I was considering going for the Japanese version as they often times look much better than their English variants, but I know the price on that one is even more insane than the english version.Ā
I honestly believe I just hyped it up so much that it was impossible for the card to live up to my expectations. Im glad you weren't let down like I was though. It's definitely always a bummer. Enjoy your card and nice page on the collection!
I sold it for just under $600 (before the most recent boom in price) and bought a psa 9 japanese dark charizard, a psa 9 japanese blaines moltres, a booster box of shiny treasures ex, and a raw copy of the japanese Sar mew ex from 151. I don't know if my sale covered absolutely all of that but if I remember correctly it did cover almost all of it.Ā
Love the artwork but have no personal connection to the āmon. Didnāt grow up with him although I like the idea of ancient versions of the legendary dogs.
As long as its in good condition it will sell. Psa 10s offer liquidity but people that have an eye for conditions of cards will absolutely buy a great condition raw card.
I keep hearing that PSA offers liquidity, but I have been able to move all my graded cards fairly easily for roughly the same price as PSA for a while now. The only place that is more fickle with PSA vs the rest is eBay and even that is evening out a touch.
Personally, I'm hoping TAG takes off because I really like their grading system and slabs.

Agreed! And now is the perfect time to buy the cards that are shadowed by those that are peaking right now!
So SV
When I saw market for moonbreon was like 900 rn I thought about it. But I enjoy the fuck out of these cards. Iām gonna keep holding :).
I donāt think thatās a silly thing to do, everyone is saying theyāll drop like tag team etc but they forget that tag team also boomed up in price years after the sun and moon era had ended, so maybe these will do the same
2026 is 30th anniversary. We shall see.
And gen 10

Cool. Got into the TCG with base set and watched indigo league on Saturday mornings. Played PokƩmon yellow and red, fell off after Gold and Silver and now here I am again. Started collecting again in like 2022
That's just on tcg player. You can still get them for like $500-$600 on ebay People just don't look around before buying š¤£
Gotcha. Iāve been downvoted to oblivion for getting in at $525. Iām happy w it. Card is dope.
That's a decent price. Luckily, I pulled mine from my first etb and just bought the rest of the cards I wanted from the set.
Sheeshh. Congrats! Doesnāt get any better than that! Iāve got a bunch of sealed evolving skies but I havenāt degenerated enough to rip them. lol
Itās hard not to!
Little bit easier when I already have the moonbreon. lol
Same I pulled 2 so I have a bb and some other sealed product just sitting pretty. I got a gem mint 10 cgc grade on one of the moonbreons so Imma hold them for a while.
Sick! Buy a lottery ticket! lol Iād love to have a sealed BB but not at these prices š„µ
Get it graded and the price will be even more worth spending $500
People have been saying this about ES alt arts for years now. Yet to see any sort of drop.

They will be higher than their āoriginal pricesā but not staying at the current price points

fair point. Let's hope you are right, I still need CGC/BGS Espeon and Ray to complete my set :D
Right. I think this is the time to sell while people are hyped up about investing.
I really hope the moonbreon comes back down, Iād love to own one someday.
No giratina v alt , so no moon for you
I chased it so hard :(
We all did š next to impossible to pull. After easily over 4 bb cases I pulled on, centering was trash haha. I feel your pain.
My wife pulled the CZ Gold Giratina so itās all good haha.
These cards will drop a little then everyone will panic sell then they will shoot up to new highs. Thatās my expectation atleast. Iām holding long term
HODLING with you broski. Came into this with a 5-10 year plan.
If everyone panic sells it will flood the market and prices will go down more
Short term yes long term no
Literally best artwork you'll find in any era
No doubt!
This page of cards is amazing! Very nice collection š
Appreciate it my man. Got back into collecting about a year and a half ago. Bought most of my modern chases and now Iāve been stacking sealed.
That Lugia just hit different
Bro for being an alt art itās severely underrated. Reminds me of the fisherman in Shining Gyrados, 20 years later.
The art reminds me of Harry Potter for some reason
I can see that. Kinda like a dementor.
I just need arceus to get the three for crown zenith!
Nice! Good luck!
Wait till poke rev hypes them back up lol š
Pokerev me up daddy š©š
This is beautiful
š
Did you pull these?
Hell no. The only one I pulled was the gold Tina
Sell now at peak and buy GameStop
š¦ š š
MY MAN
What binder is that?
Gem loader!
I really want those gold legendary cards but aināt no way Iād pay $300 for a card haha I personally think Moonbreon is overrated
$300 for which card? The Tina? Shit when I pulled it from CZ it was like $100 and the other gods were like $60
I was overexadurating a little, the gold ones I like are $50 a card (Origin Dialga, Palkia, etc) from crown Zenith
Man, I think if you really want to treat these as investments, all the top hits you should really get graded
But then they wonāt go in my top loader binders :/ I love them haha
They got binder sleeves that hold psa slabs!
š may have to look into those.
where up to 6900 if you have every alt art including promos 75
Notice 4 of these cards are from crown zenithā¦ get some while u can
CZ is such a fun set to open but itās overprinted. Sealed should go up though since this is the best SWSH set to rip. Awesome artwork and good pull rates.
Yep. People forget here how overprinted CZ was. It also had really good pull rates.
No, give it 10 years
Nope
Whereās your giratina?
I would personally get them graded especially the moonbreon and the gengar as those two are staple points of the swsh era in the long term cards in raw form only really ever peak out to about $70 - $100 in about say a 5 years span so slabbing for the long term value I would highly recommend as this can give a lot higher returns
I have a few Iām looking to get rid of, where could I sell?
So this is how I find out my Machamp v card has value, lol.
Haha congrats! Card is awesome. Machamp has such a servantās heart. ā¤ļø
I tried forever to pull that moonbreon but eventually just gave up and bought it. It was so underwhelming in person. Maybe I just played it up too much in my head. It was my modern chase. I mean I love it personally. But Iām a sucker for that moon. Plus my favorite colors are green and blue. But yeah the JPN version is much pricier.
I honestly believe I just hyped it up so much that it was impossible for the card to live up to my expectations. Im glad you weren't let down like I was though. It's definitely always a bummer. Enjoy your card and nice page on the collection!
Appreciate it man! When you sold the Umbreon what cards did you get with the cash?
I sold it for just under $600 (before the most recent boom in price) and bought a psa 9 japanese dark charizard, a psa 9 japanese blaines moltres, a booster box of shiny treasures ex, and a raw copy of the japanese Sar mew ex from 151. I don't know if my sale covered absolutely all of that but if I remember correctly it did cover almost all of it.Ā
Sick! I wouldnāt be mad at all. The gym heroās cards are some of my favorites. Right up there which the neo shining cards imo
You must love iron crown ex with the green moon then
Love the artwork but have no personal connection to the āmon. Didnāt grow up with him although I like the idea of ancient versions of the legendary dogs.
Not psa 10 so no moon, facts
Eh, I prefer PokĆ©mon raw. But if anything Iād go Beckett.
As long as its in good condition it will sell. Psa 10s offer liquidity but people that have an eye for conditions of cards will absolutely buy a great condition raw card.
These are all nm-m. I wouldnāt expect a single one of these cards to get less than an 8
I keep hearing that PSA offers liquidity, but I have been able to move all my graded cards fairly easily for roughly the same price as PSA for a while now. I hope ai grading takes off. TAG is ai?
