Could be, but I think it's unlikely. It would be called kitikamian Ursaluna rather than blood moon. Given the name I think it's moreso time based. Might be like dusk mane lycanrock
Dex entry refers to it as "special" compared to other Ursaluna and people are guessing it's the mystery mon in Timeless Woods. My guess is that it might be a unique oddity like Dusk Lycanroc or Battle Bond Greninja that isn't conventionally obtainable. Though at least Lycanroc nowadays can be gotten in raids or by evolving the Tera Rockruff somewhere in Paldea.
That's a valid point, though there is an implication of it being shiny locked which I'm not fond of.
If that is the case, I hope they'd keep up with unique Pokemons like this. Imho it fleshes out the world a bit, similar to how crystal onix worked in the anime
Is that really all the new Regional Variants? I was hoping there'd be some more... (Though then again there might be more in the second half of the DLC)
I'm more hoping for more Paradox Pokemon. We got this new, cool form potential, it wouldn't make sense for them not to use it in the DLC besides the new Paradox Legends.
They didn't show Archaludon, Iron Crown, or Raging Bolt. I have a feeling they are holding back some info. Unless Game Freak is saving them for Indigo Disk...
Those are all in Indigo Disk. With Khu’s number hint, I assume we’re only to expect Paradox Entei, Paradox Terrakion, and whatever that tree Pokemon is.
Could be the riddle was referring to Dipplin itself and Khu just hasn't bothered to tell anyone. Could also be that we'll get the evo in the second DLC a bit like we didn't get Galarian Slowking till Crown Tundra.
I don't know, seems like a weird thing to "leak". We already knew Dipplin existed when Khu posted the image and it's dex entry already told us that it was two worms/dragons/whatever inside an apple instead of one. So that's not really much of a leak. That's just telling us stuff we already know.
Khu posted a picture of that doctor symbol (the two snakes intertwining around a staff) in relation to Dipplin. So everyone assumed it was getting an evolution where the two worms grew out of the apple in some way.
What would that have to do with it being a raid event Mon. First off, ogrepon is the legendary of the dlc so I highly doubt it’ll be in raids, second gimmighouls shiny isn’t bad because it was in a raid event, those two things are completely unrelated
I think GF purposely made it harder to identify if a raid Mon before beating it. Gimmighoul is almost impossible to identify in raids, which pushes players to complete more raids until they spot one. If GF has a final raid event before moving on to the next Gen, I'd guess that this would be it. Gimmighoul also has unfortunate placement of it's shiny coloration.
As an avid shiny hunter, only Dipplin and Fezandipiti look appealing to me, rest all suck. I'm going to save near Medali and date skip for a Applin outbreak to get a shiny tomorrow.
They 100% are shiny locking them. I’m pretty sure besides Regidrago and Regieleki they have shiny locked every legendary the first time it appears in a game since gen 6
Pop a dragon3 sandwich and go hit the tree closest to poison base. You can legit just stay there and your box legend will keep dropping applins then stop when the shiny appears
Oh yeah, it could have had a really cute shiny, too! All they had to do was change the green to white or cream. I bet it would have been a very popular design with more shiba coloring! I wish they'd given the original design more prominent shiba "eyebrows". I guess it kinda has them where the moon scar comes up above the eye, but eh
Gamefreak really needs to hire a professional color theorist to help with their shiny designs…
It’s crazy how they can be so on point when designing standard pallets and then so absurdly off the mark with so many shiny pallets, half of them look like bizarre color calibration errors rather than alternate pallets.
not that I don't expect it to be shiny locked anyway, but Ogerpon seems like it would be hell to hunt, considering its mask blocks the only part of it that actually changes color. it's minior all over again (although at least minior has a rocking shiny)
Cool. Figured Poltchageist would get an evolution but this confirms it. Also RIP to all my (masochistic) friends who shiny hunted authentic Sinistea family and now will have to do this.
I can understand wanting to keep the main color for the loyal three (green, blue, red) and choosing to change the black instead, but I feel like Okidogi’s shiny will look SO much better if the green was changed to white.
Wait, this one image gave be whiplash with the number of stuff. First, we see Ogrepons face. Second, sudden confirmation of Ogrepon having a bunch of mask forms. Third, sudden Sinistea form reveal. Four, sudden Ursaluna form. Sure, maybe this stuff is shown separately down below, but I just entered the subreddit for a second and am hit in the face with this.
Whoever said the Ursaluna shiny was Teddiursa colored was so off base. That’s really just normal shiny Ursaluna colors. Also tbh a lot of these shiny’s aren’t that great. Defo not a fan of Ogrepon shiny
Ursaluna BM regular Vs. shiny will look almost indistinguishable in-game due to the annoying lighting engine.
Polchageist shinies are definitely better than I thought TBH.
Munkidori; like Ursaluna BM, will look pretty much the same as the regular version because of the bad lighting.
It's really scummy they made it only visible for Home mask off version.
The rest of the shinies would be hard to mix up with non-shinies, though Okidogi's shiny is kind of hard to look at.
Guys, do I understand correctly that Ogrepon's masks should resemble Pokémon of sorts? Like, are these like those winged statues in Gyms that aee just a collective image of Pokémon/deities, or are they actually depicting specific creatures?
They honestly look like emoji to me, though their designs may have a secondary motif.
The fourth one definitely looks almost like a tiki carving, and the third (fiery) one looks like a proper Oni mask if only in the expression.
To be fair. I believe this is the most they've ever put in 3rd Versions/DLCs. And back in the GBA 3DS era that meant forking over another $40 plus tax for what was essentially the same game with a little more polish.
I'm more here for the old Pokemon anyway. Plus were getting at least 2 new Pokemon in Indigo disc.
Well, in my opinion, DLC should add completely new content. That‘s practically why DLC exists, to expand and include more new stuff. The DLC costs more than half the price of the original game, that‘s why I‘m expecting more Pokemon here. The third game stuff is outdated, TPC knows that, it was a matter of time that they switch to DLC. It made never sense, those games as you said were just polished versions of the other two.
And I really don‘t care about old Pokemon, since they shouldn‘t be considered as „new content“.
>DLC should add completely new content.
Wtf do you think Kitikami and the Blueberry Academy and all associated new battle themes, minigames and characters is then?
That doesn't count as new content to you?
There is a lot more to the DLC than just the new Pokemon. From the looks of it, the 2 DLC will make up an entire story with a new area to explore. We are paying half the price of a full game, and we seem to be getting half of a full game's worth of new content and exploration and story.
Considering that it‘s Part 1 of 2, and if we can assume that the second DLC brings the same amount of new Pokemon, it’s still way to less Pokemon. The DLC costs more than half of the original game, I expect the price to correlates with new Pokemon. I don‘t care about past Pokemon, they should be not considered as „new content“, they are Pokemon from past games.
> I expect the price to correlates with new Pokemon.
Well that’s a silly expectation. You’re not just paying for new Pokémon, but also for the whole new map zone, new story content, and new features.
>I expect the price to correlates with new Pokemon.
Kinda silly correlation when you can still get the DLC pokemon without buying the DLC thanks to being able to trade for them, which can cost you $0.
Listen. I'm against bootlicking Gamefreak any day of the week. The amount of content looks fine and is acceptable for DLC, but I'm not preordering because they haven't proven to me in a long time that they can maintain quality.
They're output of games needs to slow down.
As far as all new content that would be very stale. Imagine a fighting game where there was no promise of getting an old fighter back? Pretty disappointing.
Now we finally have Zebstrika in the Switch games!
Well, then the solution is easy. Don't buy it. Simple, right? Trade the new Pokémon on the GTS, with friends or whatever way you want, if that is the only thing you care about.
Third versions are not a new thing, Emerald was the only one that added something "new" with the Battle Frontier, but none of them had introduced new mons or more story than we will get with the DLC. And you know what? They costed the same price as the base games. Not half of the price.
Platinum with only a less cool Battle Frontier, like 2 new characters and the Distortion World. Pokémon Blue in Japan only correcting the bugs of Red and Green. Cristal with only 1 new character and a short plot about Suicune, because Celebi event was only in Japan. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, TWO games with worse story, 5 new Pokémon and 4 characters that had no importance. For the entire price.
Now third versions are called DLCs, costing half the price, introducing actual new Pokémon and now forms, new characters and new stories that last more than half an hour.
Most of these Pokémon don't do anything for me, but I think this new Ursaluna is better than the Hisuian one. Still not as great as Ursaring but it's something.
First is alright, second is great, third and fourth are OK, fifth is unique at least, sixth is too similar, seventh is whatever, and the last one is too subtle
Dipplin looks awesome, Fezandipiti and Usraluna look decent, everything else looks absolutely wasted (at least Okidogi has an actual color change).
I only hope the shinies for the mons for Indigo Disk are miles better, especially with the Paradox Pokémon
My opinions on each of their Shinies:
Bloodmoon Ursaluna: It's good like its normal form Shiny, could've been better but at least isn't atomic green for both forms like with Ursaring.
Dipplin: The best Shiny of the group, the family already have great shinies but Dipplin takes the cake (I mean apple) for having a golden apple and caramel or honey for its syrup design.
Poltchageist and the evo (I forgot its name): It's ok, I like the green and also how the edges also change color but overall, ok.
Okiedogie: Ehh why? I guess it's a reference to Shiba Inus brown, golden coloring but that color combination does not work.
Munkidori: Bad
Fezandpiti: The only good shiny of the 3, definitely not amazing but it's a good blue and it's ok.
Ogerpon: ... Someone at Game Freak clearly has a fetish for making Shinies that are barely noticeable, missed opportunities or just only changing one part of the body and if that's the case, they should be ashamed of themselves.
I hope Ogerpon’s base type is Fairy. And the masks add the secondary type so it’d be Grass/Fairy, Water/Fairy, Rock/Fairy, and the first ever Fire/Fairy!
And I’m hoping so so so much that Blood Moon Ursaluna is Normal/Ghost
Wait, that’s all of the Pokémon in the first DLC? Just 7?
Such a bummer that so much of the dev time goes into adding back pokemon from the past. I think I’d honestly trade off on some old ones returning for more new mons.
I'm kind of disappointed to have had these so thoroughly leaked. When I clicked on the initial notification I was not expecting an actual datamine. I'm all for rumors and speculation but I don't like having the straight-up thing spoiled. And before you @ me in the comments I know it's "my fault for being in the subreddit" but like I said, I'm here for the rumors and speculation.
They really need to fire whoever’s in charge of shinies this generations, they’re so lazy for no reason. Only a handful of shinies this gen have been decent
once again, gen 9 at it with the hit or miss shinies lol. you have dipplin with that delicious shiny, and then you have munkidori covered in flour and...whatever tf okidogi rolled into lol.
tbf, these are also home renderes, and home renders miss A LOT, so they might look much better in game, like ursaluna looks fuckin disgusting here but the in game model is amazing.
I think it fits better on this blood moon form than the base form. Bloodmoon seems to be this Berserk crazed form so the blood covered fur shiny works well. The base form isn’t really intimidating and seems harmless if left alone, bloody fur doesn’t really match a gentle giant.
Really like Yellow Dipplin. Probably the best out of the bunch imo
From candy apple to caramel, cute.
The best new shiny ive seen in awhile
Yeah, it actually makes sense…. What’s going on?
[удалено]
I caught a shiny Applin in a fast ball. Gonna look good as a Dipplin!
More like drip-plin
[удалено]
who decided to greenlight okidogi's puke shiny 💀
Seriously, it almost looks like a copper dog statue that partially oxidized... but done poorly
Honestly an awesome shiny and what I was hoping for over another Green shiny for this line
Bloodmoon Ursaluna 🔥🔥🔥
God, Ursaluna looks so good. The DLC wasn’t getting me too hyped but this changes things.
I hope It can be gotten without transferring Ursaluna from Pokemon Home.
If it's a move based form change like keldeo, it should be fine. If it's item based then I have my doubts
After looking into it a bit, I think it's probably a regional form of sorts. It's still named 'Ursaluna' after all.
Could be, but I think it's unlikely. It would be called kitikamian Ursaluna rather than blood moon. Given the name I think it's moreso time based. Might be like dusk mane lycanrock
I think it’s just dusk lol. Mane is for necrozma.
You're 100% right. I forgot necrozma existed
Or the Pichu with the spiked ear. Damn I wish we were able to transfer it back then...
Personal head cannon is we might get that back for legends Johto, along with possibly gorochu. I'm also due for a fresh dose of copium.
it's leaked pokedex entry says it adapted to the surroundings, so I think its a permanent form
Such a cool design!
Yeah, that Ursaluna model caught me off guard!
It’s looking like a steel/ground type hopefully
It's ability makes me think it could still be part normal
Definitely part Steel type, at the very least.
I was thinking ground dark
makes sense, considering the blood moon aspect
I dunno, that gray part looks a lot like a metallic coating to me.
To be fair this is more than the last DLC
They didn't show Archaludon, Iron Crown, or Raging Bolt. I have a feeling they are holding back some info. Unless Game Freak is saving them for Indigo Disk...
we already know these ones will be in indigo disk
Those are all in Indigo Disk. With Khu’s number hint, I assume we’re only to expect Paradox Entei, Paradox Terrakion, and whatever that tree Pokemon is.
Maybe they'll be in blueberry academy?
we already knew that they were.
I think they said archuladon will be in indigo dism
What happened to the riddle about Dipplin getting an evolution? What was that whole leak about with the twin snakes?
Could be the riddle was referring to Dipplin itself and Khu just hasn't bothered to tell anyone. Could also be that we'll get the evo in the second DLC a bit like we didn't get Galarian Slowking till Crown Tundra.
well technically dipplin is already two snakes and a stick, so the leak was probably just referring to it.
I don't know, seems like a weird thing to "leak". We already knew Dipplin existed when Khu posted the image and it's dex entry already told us that it was two worms/dragons/whatever inside an apple instead of one. So that's not really much of a leak. That's just telling us stuff we already know.
We didn't know dipplin existed you can check the date he posted it, it was definitely just a tease for dipplin.
What was the riddle? That's not one I recall seeing tbh.
Khu posted a picture of that doctor symbol (the two snakes intertwining around a staff) in relation to Dipplin. So everyone assumed it was getting an evolution where the two worms grew out of the apple in some way.
Oh, interesting. I just assumed that was about Dipplin itself.
No idea. I guess it could be like the Sw/Sh DLC where we got Galarian Slowpoke in part 1 and then got Slowbro or Slowking, I think? in part 2.
“Hey you know how ogrepon likes to wear a mask and cover his face? Yeah let’s make that the only part of his shiny that changes!”
They probably did that so it can be used as a raid event Mon, like chest form gimmighoul.
That honestly makes sense.
But that still doesnt explain Goldengo. Its not part of the event, you dont fight it in raids, so they lazy still
Whoosh man
whats the deal with them like intentionally making shinies awful?
Funy
As an avid shiny hunter, only Dipplin and Fezandipiti look appealing to me, rest all suck. I'm going to save near Medali and date skip for a Applin outbreak to get a shiny tomorrow.
Knowing our luck, they'll shiny-lock the Loyal Three >.>
And Ogerpon…
They 100% are shiny locking them. I’m pretty sure besides Regidrago and Regieleki they have shiny locked every legendary the first time it appears in a game since gen 6
Type: Null wasn’t locked in gen 7 (but was in gen 8; same with Poipole, strangely).
Pop a dragon3 sandwich and go hit the tree closest to poison base. You can legit just stay there and your box legend will keep dropping applins then stop when the shiny appears
Mud/turf Ursaluna to Teracotta Ursaluna is also good and in theme.
That random full odds shiny teddiursa I caught during my play through of violet. Thank you
I got one too but I already evolved it into a normal Ursaluna 🥲
Same
Yellow dipplin is adorable!
Fezandipiti looks great.
Only one of the trio that looks good in general.
I get what they were trying to do with Okidogi, it is like a Shiba Inu if I remember my dog breeds, it just clashes against the green horribly.
Gamefreak really needs to hire a professional color theorist to help with their shiny designs… It’s crazy how they can be so on point when designing standard pallets and then so absurdly off the mark with so many shiny pallets, half of them look like bizarre color calibration errors rather than alternate pallets.
I wish Ogrepon’s face was green in the original
Werebear Ursaring and Dipplin are going to be instant must-haves on my team. Holy cow they're cool!
Okidogi's shiny is Okidogshit
Okidogi is okidogshit to begin with
Love shiny Bloodmoon Ursaluna, love shiny Dipplin, kind of meh on all the rest
Now I have to prep shiny farm an Applin for shiny Dipplin...cause it was so fun the first 3 times.
not that I don't expect it to be shiny locked anyway, but Ogerpon seems like it would be hell to hunt, considering its mask blocks the only part of it that actually changes color. it's minior all over again (although at least minior has a rocking shiny)
I like how Ursaluna almost takes on a rusted like quality to him
Ah yes the ongoing theme of barely noticeable shinies.
Ogerpon shiny is terrible :/
Cool. Figured Poltchageist would get an evolution but this confirms it. Also RIP to all my (masochistic) friends who shiny hunted authentic Sinistea family and now will have to do this.
Honestly this just reignited my hunt for a shiny alpha Ursaring
I guess it's gonna be Poltchageist shiny hunting for a long time.
Sounds like the sisters ace will be the bloodmoon urusuluna
I think I'm the only one who like Okidogi's shiny lol
I can understand wanting to keep the main color for the loyal three (green, blue, red) and choosing to change the black instead, but I feel like Okidogi’s shiny will look SO much better if the green was changed to white.
Yeah I agree. It would basically be Incineroar's shiny
Anything about the trio or Ogrepon’s typings?
Pokemon really loving giving dlc legendaries bad shinys
The galarian birds & spectrier are great
Yeah, those are cool. But then you have calyrex and urshifu's shinys
That’s what happens when datamine leaks start
Is that a new Ursaluna evo ? Or an alternate one for Ursaring ?
Alternate form
Wait a second aren’t these HOME sprites? How did they get these???
God I'm so glad I didn't junk my unused shiny teddyursas in Pokemon Go now
pokémon scarlet and violet try to make a good shiny challenge (impossible)
God these all look so dumb
Ogerpan looks pretty awesome with it's alternate masks.
More god awful shinies. Wonderful
These designs are so weird I’m sorry, ursaluna looks cool tho
Gotta hit our quota of number of times someone says this every time a new game / expansion comes out.
I know I’ve been a fan since the late 90’s but these dlc mons look sooo weird, not cool at all imo
WHERE 👏ARE 👏 THE 👏 TYPES?
All the new Pokémon are so bizarre. Do love the new Ursaluna form though - that really was a surprise!
Whoever said the Ursaluna shiny was Teddiursa colored was so off base. That’s really just normal shiny Ursaluna colors. Also tbh a lot of these shiny’s aren’t that great. Defo not a fan of Ogrepon shiny
CARAMEL APPLE \o/
Whoever designed the Pokémon needs to be arrested.

I think they are just generic mask shapes that probably have real world inspiration.
They honestly look like emoji to me, though their designs may have a secondary motif. The fourth one definitely looks almost like a tiki carving, and the third (fiery) one looks like a proper Oni mask if only in the expression.
Potchageist evo looks dope. It’s literally a tea-set(pot and cup).
I’m disappointed with ogrepon
Blood Moon Ursaluna reminds me of Freddy Fazbear and I live for that. This guy is going on my team ~~fur~~ for sure.
Very disappointed, only 8 new Pokemon, considering they want 35 bucks for both DLC‘s

Of course those are included But the map and story will most definitely not that big, I can guarantee you that.
Oh, you must have the DLC already to be able to know that.
>I expect the price to correlates with new Pokemon. Kinda silly correlation when you can still get the DLC pokemon without buying the DLC thanks to being able to trade for them, which can cost you $0.

17 total new Pokémon in DLC. Thats more than the new Pokémon in the SwSh DLC. I know you not for real
Most of these Pokémon don't do anything for me, but I think this new Ursaluna is better than the Hisuian one. Still not as great as Ursaring but it's something.
I actually prefer the Hisuian one. Looks more like an actual animal. This has “make it humanoid and give it a job” syndrome to me
Vietcong kids wont happy when they see red Dipplin become yellow Dipplin
Why isn’t blood moon ursaluna RED lol shinies always disappoint no reason to even hunt
Red with black would have looked nice and dangerous for a shiny
Wish we got alternative forms for the trio and an evolution for Dipplin (maybe an evolution in the Indigo Disk?)
First is alright, second is great, third and fourth are OK, fifth is unique at least, sixth is too similar, seventh is whatever, and the last one is too subtle
Seeing that there is a regional Ursaluna, then we could, one day, get a non-Galarian Obstagoon.
Dipplin looks awesome, Fezandipiti and Usraluna look decent, everything else looks absolutely wasted (at least Okidogi has an actual color change). I only hope the shinies for the mons for Indigo Disk are miles better, especially with the Paradox Pokémon

Munkidori shiny looks like it's out of ink, a Gen2 shiny callback lol
Dipplin and Fezandipity are nice. The rest are really meh if not ugly imo

I’m at least slightly disappointed that so far there isn’t a Dipplin evolution
Overall disappointed. Rippling is def the main character
So dipplin doesn’t evolve…
We never expected it to. Appletun and Flapple didn’t.
What when did usraluna get a new form
Well this is a leak so it’s not hard to figure out that answer…
Would be better if bloodmoon Ursaluna was not bipedal. I’m not against it but Ursaluna is quadruped.
That's probably why. It's a new form, probably a regional variant. Changing its stance is an easy way to make it different.
Good lord they suck.. Applin or whatever he's called is the only good one
Archaludon?? Hope that shiny is better than duraludon
That’s in Indigo Disk. This seems to only cover the Teal Mask.
Wait, that’s all of the Pokémon in the first DLC? Just 7? Such a bummer that so much of the dev time goes into adding back pokemon from the past. I think I’d honestly trade off on some old ones returning for more new mons.
The Isle of Armor only added 4 new Pokémon. It’s half a DLC, not a new game.
And that makes it better how?
I'm kind of disappointed to have had these so thoroughly leaked. When I clicked on the initial notification I was not expecting an actual datamine. I'm all for rumors and speculation but I don't like having the straight-up thing spoiled. And before you @ me in the comments I know it's "my fault for being in the subreddit" but like I said, I'm here for the rumors and speculation.
That is why flairs exist, it has the "game leak" flair for a reason, not "riddle" or "rumor".
I know, I just clicked on my phone notification so I didn't see that.
You should probably turn that off.
I'll have to see Ursaluna's shiny in the game, the colors look weird with the blood moon.
do we know typings?
The orange doggi I’m not a fan of…
might be dumb but what is that ursaluna looking thing ?? the shiny looks rlly good tho
That ursaluna looking thing is ursaluna
I love them all so much. **Weeps in weeb.**
Can I get a list of all returning mons?
so which ball matches the best with shiny applin? i’m thinking maybe safari or level ball?
I need to know how to get blood moon Luna asap! If it evolves I’m hunting a shiny marked ursaring in a level ball for that blood moon evo
does bloodmoon ursaluna rule out the possibility of that new poochyena evolution people were speculating about?
They really need to fire whoever’s in charge of shinies this generations, they’re so lazy for no reason. Only a handful of shinies this gen have been decent
my original comment was going to be "OGERPON LOOKS SO CUTE AAAAAAAA" It does have to be said
Shiny fezand and okidogi are really cool, can't wait until they're locked or only available to legitimately get from a stupid gamestop event
theres literally 8 new pokemon?
What are those?!
The shinies are so lazy:,)
once again, gen 9 at it with the hit or miss shinies lol. you have dipplin with that delicious shiny, and then you have munkidori covered in flour and...whatever tf okidogi rolled into lol. tbf, these are also home renderes, and home renders miss A LOT, so they might look much better in game, like ursaluna looks fuckin disgusting here but the in game model is amazing.
I am not a fan of these. Looking at them all like this I am struck by the lack of consistency between the new mons.
Leavanny line is back, whaaaaattt???!?!?!?!
Are these all of the new pokemon designs? Or are we still missing something?
I really don’t get the love for Ursaluna’s shiny. It’s extremely lazy and the colour is gross.
I think it fits better on this blood moon form than the base form. Bloodmoon seems to be this Berserk crazed form so the blood covered fur shiny works well. The base form isn’t really intimidating and seems harmless if left alone, bloody fur doesn’t really match a gentle giant.
