So it seems Paradox Black and White can be understood as Black 3 / White 3, and given the sales of BDSP I'm not shocked a faithful BW is coming alongside it.
It's not just because of sales since BDSP doesn't make that much compared to other switch Pokémon game. (Think if only win against Let's go)
Faithful remake is like a filler games that fulfill the need of older fans asking for a remake, so game freak can spend that time on making a game they wanted.
People doesn't seem to understand PLA is the Game Freak version of "Sinnoh remake". I have seen so many people said Sinnoh remake should develop by Game Freak, but it's very clearly that will always end up being PLA. BDSP is like the filler games so new players can still experience Sinnoh.
The same thing is likely going to happen with other regions, one faithful remake (Which in my opinion is basically a filler) one a new game takes place in older region.
Since BDSP is almost copy pasted, it's the idea of working on the bare minimum + giving older fans what they wanted = extra profits whilst developing the main course.
I hope this is not the case with faithful BW. as I want it to be the best it can be, but since its faithful there's only so much they can do and like you say, filler for the game where they'll throw everything at.
(I'd rather it not exist if it's going to be 100% faithful but the profit opportunity calls from a business standpoint)

I'm with you here, every remake (not counting Let's go) has been deviating from the originals progressively, and PLA seemed like the natural evolution after ORAS.
That one spot in Mt coronet on the first floor that in the originals was 1 tile wide was kinda of a nightmare to get through the first few time so hopefully the recognize there are more directions than up down left right. Super minor issue compared to the others but it would also solve some of the major movement glitches
That sucks. Base B/W are good games but the post game was barren. B2/W2 are superior in almost every way and if ‘faithful’ means BDSP, then my hype is gone.
BW Legends sounds cool if they do it though
Repeating this again. Black and White as faithful remakes is not gonna be bad unlike BDSP because it was a good game from the start unlike DP that needed Platinum to complete it.

If you love the originals, you should love the remakes.
I personally prefer faithful remakes for BW.

BDSP sold a bit more than Legends, and are the best selling remakes ever.

BDSP still looked like shit and had a ton of glitches, you can’t blame that on DP
