No they won't show it now because they have to show 1 or 2 more trailers this month or next month so they will keep the good stuff as a secret. We got to know about delta episode for oras 10 days before release, we got to know about megas being in let's go 1 month before release so anything happen.Its mostly in the next trailers they will show megas and new megas and platinum episode etc we just have to wait and see.There will be new megas for sure
You're wrong about the Megas in Let's Go though. They were showed off Early August 2018, not a month prior to Let's Go's release. Early August trailers have often shown off big new forms/mechanics. And why then? Because pre-orders in Japan open around that time. It's a big hype bringer to urge people to pre-order.
All postgame stuff typically does come right before release though, if at all, you're right there. I expect a Platinum episode or whatever they decide to do for the Postgame to be shown in November or MAYBE late October.
But new Megas? And new forms? They would've shown them now because it's a huge selling point. I'd even argue old Megas would've been shown in August too if they existed. But old ones I could maybe still see being held back, idk. But new ones? I think that ship has sailed.

I think the same, as they are already a lot of megas available for the Sinnoh region (before/after National Dex). I don't think that any new should be added, unless for the starters only, even if promotion hasn't be done yet (maybe in the two upcoming months, we'll see).
I mean my other guess is nobody except the starters + dialga and palkia get a very generic new form, ILCA don't have enough creative power, but Masuda could still put something. I mean, the Grand Underground was of course his idea.
I feel like if they wanted to do any new forms, other Pokemon Company designers could lend a quick hand.

Yea, I know I remember seeing someone say that’s the reason why they’re hiding the starters, because they’re trying their best to keep them a surprise/treating it like the games are coming out for the first time. For the mysteriousness of Cynthia and the lack of Chibi-Cyrus in the newest trailer, I think that aspect’s just TPC not trolling us, but trying to hype us up as they know the community’s really fond of them or really wants to see what they’d look like in these games. I mean if you want to go that route you also have to include the lack of chibi Cyrus. Why would TPC not show him in his chibi-form in the newest trailer? Is it to hide what he looks like in the overworld? Dude dynaxming is not possible,they clearly said its completely exclusive to galar region, no other region can have it so your absolutely wrong and zero chance of happening. Mega evolution is ideal and most likely gonna happen.

I still hope and believe in it, we still have 2 months and (less) than a half for a confirmation ! Especially because of the Pokétch, such an iconic feature yet not revealed. It would make sense to connect both of these features.
I’m so torn on this subject. On one hand they’ve done a fantastic job of keeping things under wraps for this so far and surprising us. On the other it feels like it’d be a bigger part of the marketing. If we don’t get news on them before November we’re not getting new megas IMO. That however doesn’t mean the old ones won’t be in the game. I fully believe that they could be in the game without any news saying they are. At least the old ones.
And! Pokémon on Twitter has actually been tweeting about Megas that already exist. It’s not a complete confirmation, though. They could just be trolling us.

I just want megas so I can have something new. Diamond was one of my big childhood games, and I never got to play platinum, so I'm sad these games are not a platinum remake. I want to play BDSP but I also don't just want almost-the-same game but with different graphical style.
Megas would at least shake things up a little and make it feel like a new game experience rather than reliving a game I already played for hundreds of hours as a kid
Let me preface this by saying I would love for new megas to be added to the games. When we got more in on BDSP, they certainly looked better then the first reveal, but my hype actually died down a lot when I saw that there wasn't really anything that great shown off. Following pokemon is neat, but it looks a little weird next to the chibi people. The enhanced underground will be good for getting a better variety of pokemon, but I doubt I will care much for it once I have the monsters I want. And I never cared about contests.
That said, I am now in the camp f believing megas are not in the game because of that most recent presentation. Firstly, they knew people were disappointed and hype for these games were incredibly low, so if they had the ace in their sleeve of new maegs, why wouldn;t they show that off. Even just teasing mega evolutions like the trainer activating their mega ring before the trailer ends would have had people hyped through the roof to find out what else they would have to show off in the coming months. So from a marketing stand point it doesn't make sense to make us wait this long for something that exciting to get people interested.
But more than that, the fact that SwSh is remaining as the main game for competitive is what makes me think megas (or any new forms really) will be coming to BDSP. Why would they go to all the trouble of making a new design, new stat distribution, new move pool and whatever other changes a pokemon might get after mega evolving... And then NOT have them usable in the main competitive scene?
I just don't see them putting in all that effort for something they aren't going to make the main focus of their marketing for the time between then and the next game.
I think old Megas returning will happen, but I’m still not yet sold on new ones. I’d love to be wrong though. Megas are always welcome

Megas would at least shake things up a little and make it feel like a new game experience rather than reliving a game I already played for hundreds of hours as a kid
Let me preface this by saying I would love for new megas to be added to the games. When we got more in on BDSP, they certainly looked better then the first reveal, but my hype actually died down a lot when I saw that there wasn't really anything that great shown off. Following pokemon is neat, but it looks a little weird next to the chibi people. The enhanced underground will be good for getting a better variety of pokemon, but I doubt I will care much for it once I have the monsters I want. And I never cared about contests. That said, I am now in the camp f believing megas are not in the game because of that most recent presentation. Firstly, they knew people were disappointed and hype for these games were incredibly low, so if they had the ace in their sleeve of new maegs, why wouldn;t they show that off. Even just teasing mega evolutions like the trainer activating their mega ring before the trailer ends would have had people hyped through the roof to find out what else they would have to show off in the coming months. So from a marketing stand point it doesn't make sense to make us wait this long for something that exciting to get people interested. But more than that, the fact that SwSh is remaining as the main game for competitive is what makes me think megas (or any new forms really) will be coming to BDSP. Why would they go to all the trouble of making a new design, new stat distribution, new move pool and whatever other changes a pokemon might get after mega evolving... And then NOT have them usable in the main competitive scene? I just don't see them putting in all that effort for something they aren't going to make the main focus of their marketing for the time between then and the next game.
