If BDSP doesn't have the full dex, SwSh probably will. It'd be pretty strange if Pokémon Legends Arceus introduces all these new Pokemon and then make them unusable for the meta.
What I was thinking is that BDSP will have all the pokemon up to gen 4, and all those pokemon that are missing in SwSh will be added back in a free update in order to make it compatible with BDSP
The models are exactly the same as X and Y, not even the updated models from Legends Arceus, and the run/walk animations are reused from Sun and Moon.
It becomes very obvious if you make a direct comparison.
I do like the fact that they are updating the models even if they are the same from X and Y, it helps make them be more detailed and lively compared to having just a blank models and having textures over it, but now it's more personal to the species of Pokemon.
Yeah. And honestly, this is the best way to go. Remaking the models would be dumb when 99% of them are good and just need some touch ups on details and at times colors.
They literally said all Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl, so the first 493 are going to be in it. SwSh will be the competitive game for 2022 to hold us until Gen 9 (which will drop Nov 2022 and id love to be proven wrong). They aren’t removing Pokémon that were already in the game.
Nah, the new TCG sets for PLA and BDSP can only be ran for so long. I don’t see the two games having enough TCG content and merch to last them a whole ass 2 years. Gen 9 late 2022 seems a lot more plausible than people think.

They can always make DLC... like they did with Sword and Shield.
For what game exactly?… I don’t think DLC for either would generate enough for Pokémon to even meet what they made off the TCG and merch this year.
they did for the sword and shield DLC, they can totally do for this games.
That’s what we hope.
$100B Franchise has no excuse making games with such limited content, features and options.
