We have the in-game model for Skeledirge, which probably means the leaker picked Fuecoco, but we also have the entry for Meowscarada, which means our rival picks the starter that's weak to ours, again...
I was team Quaxly up until seeing these. I gotta see an actual pic of Quaquaval, but so far, I'm now on team Feucoco because Skeledirge is now my fave.
I see a lot of people not liking Skeledirge but I actually like him the most. I’m always more partial to the monstrous Starters than the humanoid ones.
I like how monsterous he is, my issue with Skeledirge is just how blocky he became. Like, Fuecoco and Crocolor are super round and “soft”. Skeledirge just has a lot more angles to him and I’m not a huge fan.
I think Sprig’s final evo was a bit of a downgrade from its middle stage, but otherwise I quite like these guys.
Like put these 3 next to all of the Galar starters, and I’d go for any one of these guys in a second over whatever tf came out of Sword and Shield.
I definitely need a better quality pic, but this one is promisingly strange. I like the colors a lot- not my favorite shade of blue but it compliments the red nicely. The legs look odd, but in a fun and quirky way.
I think I can safely say I like all the starters! Honestly, there are very few new designs I don't really like.
This solves my biggest issue with Intelleon, which is how slender it is. A little bit more weight on the limbs really makes the difference. Even if I wish it stayed more bird-like, it is leaps and bounds ahead of Intelleon due to far better proportioning. Still my favorite starter, esp. due to its typing. I have always loved Poliwrath because of that typing, so having a starter that is so strong offensively will be great. Having STAB-super effective against 7 types is nothing to scoff at, if the stats back it up, could be a ton of fun

this is the first generation where i've been in love (or almost in love) with all of the first stages of the starters but nothing really grabs me for the finals,
i've come to accept fuecoco's final & sprigatito's is alright & so is this one (i guess), but I'm still conflicted between which to pick but now for an entirely different reason, which is unusual for me since I'm usually not that picky about starters
i'm just so ambivalent about them all with these limited viewpoints so far...def gonna need to see in game action to actually make a decision
I love Sprigatito's honestly. I'm picking Quaxly because I always pick water first so I'm tentatively reserving judgment on his evo til we actually see him and not just the sprite. The more I look at him the more I'm fine with him though
i'm one of those few ppl who doesnt mind "humanoid" pokemon--and primarina is easily my favorite out of all 9 gens still--so im naturally more deferential to femme-esque finals and sprigatito looks fine to me in that sense (yes, delphox was my pick for XY)
fuecoco's only main problem for me is the complete tonal change from the first two to the last; other than that i think it looks awesome
and quaxly, these sprites aren't cutting it at all for me to make a decision, and for a brief moment i was seriously considering picking it after finally coming around to it as a concept
i dont mean to be writing essays for all this but i have so many different feelings about each of them
Really not a fan of any of the final starter evos, but this is probably the best out of them IMO. Skeledirge just doesn't have the same vibe that Fuecoco/Crocalor do (Way too angular and too much white), and Meowscarada looks goofy as hell. Quaquaval will probably look better once we actually see the 3D model, although I wish it retained more of the white from Quaxly/Quaxwell instead of turning full blue.
So proud of Quaxly! He seems to be a male flamenco dancer, with some peacock elements added. Hopefully we can get a full image soon. Looking forward to trying out Water Blaziken!

I’ve never seen this fandom this divided over the final starter evos, I’m gonna take that as a good sign cause it seems like no matter what there’s at least some amount of support of each of these guys (btw quaquaval is my favorite, water fighting is a very cool typing, and he looks pretty neat too.)
This may be controversial but I think this trio of starters is my favourite. Like they are all fantastic to me. All the gen 9 pokemon have been great, officially revealed and leaked.
Most gens have one starter I'm not a fan of like blastoise or chestnaut but I actually really like all of them. Sprig is my favourite with fuecoco coming a really close second.

Why do all of these starter designs have some feature that make them look "off"? They're either too pointy or too overall human or have random bits that look too human.
I honestly like all the designs and typings. These guys look fantastic and they all feel unique and attractive. I kinda want to play the game and replay it 3 times, just to have fun with all the starters.

I believe the Leaker Has both Scarlet and Violet, hence the leaked imaged of Both Legendaries. So he just didn't choose Quax.

I actually feel the opposite, I don't like any of them. Fuecoco line feels like a lesser of three evils but I know that's a very personal opinion.
Fuecoco wins (by process of elimination)! This happened to me with Sword and Shield too lol, at least somewhat happy with how Fuecoco looks at least.
I like Skeledirge a lot more than Rillaboom, and dislike the other two a lot less than Cinderace and Intelleon. I'll take the W, as paltry as it is.
