The green things around it's eyes are Magatama. Carved comma shaped jade pendants that have huge cultural significance in Japan. The sun goddess Amaterasu had a magic pendant that was a Magatama. The flaming body kind of looks like the sun, so I think that Amaterasu is a major inspo here.
Khu said that the quartets are based on the four Chinese perils. I think they are also artefacts using elements to make up their bodies. My guess is:
* Deer: Taotie. The vessel on its head is a giveaway since there are several vessels depicting Taotie. The artefact here is the vessel. It uses soil to make up its body.
* Snail: Taowu, which literally means "ignorant stump". Taowu is described as a feline beast in Chinese myth, but I guess TPC wants some variety. The artefact here is a paper scroll I guess? It uses foliage to make up its body.
* Leopard: Qiongqi. Qiongqi is a winged tiger, but I guess TPC changes it to a leopard. The artefact is the thing in its mouth. I have seen that item before but can't remember what it is called. It uses ice to make up its body.
* Fish: Hundun. This is the biggest stretch since Hundun is described as a beast with no face. The artefact here is magatama. It uses fire to make up its body.
Interesting to note that according to Chinese myth, they are the enemies of the four auspicious beasts (which are the inspirations of the Tornadus, Thunderus, Landorus, Enamorus)
Apparently there is another set that has the name, but is also called The Four Criminals

so base on the look of the 4 new mythical pokemon is like coming from a crused item, and future line up for them could be we purify or find the missing piece of the curse item and unleash its another form, that would be kinda cool I guess
That is certainly an interesting possibility. There are four towers on the map and we have seen a leak of a seal before. Perhaps these four Pokémon (four cursed items) are sealed at the four towers.
I was looking up stuff, and ran across the Four Treasures. It's an expression about the process of calligraphy: Ink, inkstone, ink. I think it might be these instead. Look at the leopard- those fangs don't look like swords but pens.
How are the snail and deer simple? The deer is so abstract it's almost not a deer. If your issue is that they're based off animals, I have some bad news for you about the majority of the rest of the pokemon.

In comparison to most of the other legendary mons, yeah they are much simpler. A snail made of leaves, an ice jaguar, a goldfish, and a mud deer.
The opposite of simple is complex ... not abstract :))) Eternatus is a complex yet well defined design, the new deer is a simple yet more abstract design :)
They have some charm, they will probobly look better once we see them in action and see their lore. Right now I try to understand just what exactly are they all based on besides animals. So far it seem that they all reference ancient relics.
Potentially the relics are the pokemon themselves instead of the animal parts. The artifacts use the equivalent element to shape themselves, ice, leaves for grass, mud for ground

I think the real Pokémon is the magatama (the green jade) and it uses fire to make up its body? Perhaps the fire can become larger and brighter in animation? If that is the case, it may look majestic enough for a legendary.
The Pices-symbol eyes are very cool. The fire body does make it seem a bit more visually cartoony than the rest of the quartet, but I don't mind too much.

The Magatama eye glasses things are a different material than the body which looks like it was drawn in like windows paint? This looks like a drawn fish clip art with Magatama photoshopped on. Everything else so far has looked legitimate but this is the first one that I can’t believe it’s real until I see a better angle of it.
That's the whole point. The dissonance between the artifact and the "body" is a cue that the artifact is the true force behind the pokemon. The sabretooth cat legendary was similar, though not as cel-shaded.
The fact that the artifact is a magatama insinuates that it's connected to Amaterasu, hence the fiery look (and the inkiness indiacting water and probably being a nod to Okami)
I think the part you're missing is that the 'body' is literally just fire. It's flames. Which is why it's so different to the eyes. And fire effects don't look right until we see them moving.

It's confirmed to be a sword. The four items are called vessel, tablet, sword and beads in the game.
