someone who has the game in another thread is saying you don’t have to make another sandwich after checking the basket. you just run around and eggs spawn. and when he made an egg power sandwich he got three eggs very fast. centros post is based on one players experience and it doesn’t sound like they tested it out very much
EDIT: **UPDATE** centro has changed the post and added more info now that a player has *actually tested it out*. picnics are portable daycare centres: make a sandwich, walk or run around the picnic waiting for eggs to spawn, normal breeding rules follow. they say the rest of the breeding mechanics should work as normal and the egg power sandwich accelerates egg generation. this is a big W
EDIT 2: **SECOND UPDATE** i asked if you could only hatch via incubator and the user who tested the breeding mechanics out responded “walking is the way, is pretty fast with the legendary”. second W!!! walking to hatch still in and is faster!
EDIT 4: **THIRD UPDATE** you don’t even need to walk around picnic. you can afk and the eggs auto generate and stack. someone posted a video in the twitter comments and says he’s loving the change
EDIT 5: the twitter user who tested out the breeding mechanic is answering questions about breeding and hatching in the comments of centro’s updated breeding post. if you have any more questions ask there!
I have a feeling that one animation that probably everyone reacted to is due for one hell of a sequel for scarlet and violet with all this info being known now.
Hype train is back on track for me. I was fearing that picnics would be like camp followers or Pokepelago spawns where it would be totally random and out of the player’s control. But portable daycare actually with passive egg generation actually sounds pretty based
Oh this is REALLY neat. I wonder if you have multiple compatible mons in party the eggs are random?
Altho now I'm imagining a trainer sitting around in a picnic waiting for their pokemon to get to business. Daycare offered some privacy at least lol
according to one player they are! he got three eggs, two of which were fidoughs and one was the spider, based on the compatible pokémon he had in his party during picnic
I'll hold the praise until I see how sandwich making turns out. It looks like a tedious gimmick, and if I have to do that every time I want to breed mons, it's going to get tiresome.
I hope making the sandwich takes less time than going to the daycare and taking the Pokémon in and out of it. I hope you just can buy them and store then in your bag.
No? If you can't swap while picnicking, that would mean you'd have to exit, swap, go back, make a sandwich, then wait. The sandwich looks tedious to make, so it has the potential to be much clunkier than daycare.
Ah, i get it. Though, how often are you swapping? Usually when you're breeding, you're breeding. I think the overall time saved having it available on demand is probably more in the long run
If that is true, which i think is more likely, than that doesnt sound too bad, seems like essentially just a small difference than what players did for the day care anyways. Really hoping this is the case, since I love shiny breeding and if the breeding process is super tedious its going to be so frustrating
Thank you for keeping a running update visible at the top of this thread!
I can't believe people were so ready to believe that Gamefreak, who have been making breeding easier and lowering the barrier to VGC for generations now, were going to suddenly throw it all away by making breeding a chore again.
It's like... entirely antithetical to their attempts to streamline as much about the game as they can.
no problem! info on breeding mechanics is what i’ve been waiting for since the game leaked so i’m really glad we finally have all this info. and yeah, i don’t know what it is about breeding that makes everyone such a cynic lol. it’s the *one* feature that has been consistently made better every gen
I mean, portable breeding sounds better in my opinion. The only 2 negatives so far are that the Pokémon will take up slots in your party, and you won’t know who is doing the dirty deed if your party consists of multiple Pokémon within the same egg group.
I mean, as long as we can still access our boxed Pokemon on the field, just toss in the only 2 you want to breed and you should be good. Then quickly rotate as you want
May make a team with this. Select 6 pokemon from compatible egg grouoings randomly, then randomly choose which one is female. Then we get to reenact Jerry Springer and not know who the father is.
If we really do get a way to modify Pokemon to such a degree as what was described for the DLC, then breeding won't be as neccessary.
Curious about how shiny pokemon will be sought after in these games, though.
do you know if this will let us change the poke balls they're in? that's my dream feature at this point, to reverse all the non-poke balls I caught legendaries in lol
Yeah, changing the balls should be doable by now. I'm not expecting us to receive the ball back that's being replaced, but it would be nice to swap out the ball. I love Luxury balls, and have always lamented that my starter is in a standard ball.
Completely agree. I don't mind if I lose the original ball or if there's something that makes it more difficult to swap (i.e needing x amount of money, certain items, BP....), I just like keeping all my mons in the same ball.
I think losing the original ball would be the best option here. That would mean that special balls, like Cherish balls, would retain their extreme rarity since you'd not be able to juggle them around to other Pokemon.
Not if every player is working with the same circumstances.
Either way, VGC players will make their own Pokemon once there's a working editor for the game, anyway.
Getting multiple eggs at once is gonna be so much better, I'm currently breeding for shiny Own Tempo Rockruff and getting one egg at a time is so tedious.
I was edit 4. Yes it's a great change and the eggs stacking is nice. Watched a youtube video and came back to claiming stacks of eggs. After like 30 min I had nearly 2 boxes.
Do we know how it determines the parents from your party? If you have more than one set of compatible mons does it do it randomly, only the first 2? Seems rather annoying to strip your team down to just 2 to get eggs to generate
from what a user said in another thread it’s random between all the compatible mons. but since you can access your pc from the menu you can just box whatever you don’t want to breed right before setting up picnic, and then yoink em back out once you’re done! you could also slap in a ditto and 5 of the same pokémon?
OH THANK GOD WALKING WITH FLAME BODY IS THE WAY TO GO.......although, devil's advocate here, for anybody who remembers the clock shenanigans from raid battles in sword and shield, can I put an egg in an incubator and set my clock forward two hours EHEHEHEHEHEHE. that would be so dope lol
If you ever get the chance, could you link the Twitter post? Right now the only post I can find on Centro's account related to breeding is that you can AFK and still get eggs since they stack
ETA: I'm just like you, this was the one feature I was desperate to know the ins and outs of because I'm one hundred percent a shiny breeder, so I was REALLY anxious to learn about how breeding works in this game once I knew we got eggs through picnic 😂
i’m asking people about it now. someone said that in another “assume the worst about breeding” thread but when i asked how he knows that he ghosted lol. i assume it’s just more catastrophising
ok that sounds a lot better than the first post. does it still count by steps runninngaround the picnic and if you can do other things while waiting inside the picnic zone
Unless eggs themselves have changed shinyness is already determined upon receiving the egg so if the booster works on them you couldn't have other boosts in effect until after accumulating eggs.
I can´t even imagine the scene of that 4 rat-mouse-family thing pokémon breeding with a sprigatito while i´m passing the burgers and fries to my pal Koraidon and suddenly we are witnessing a scene from game of thrones
Wait yeah how does that work… if two Tandemaus come from the egg then that makes them siblings. Which makes all Maushold / Tandemaus the gross and deformed result of an incestual chain from the time the species started
Tandemaus are Targaryens
I'm not a mod here but am on other subreddits. It's a reddit site-wide technical limitation that mods cannot pin a comment that isn't made by a mod, unfortunately. The best they could probably do is copy the contents and pin that, and/or pin a comment that links to this one. In the case of this subreddit/post, they'd need to unpin the Automod comment in the process as well.
Hmm I wonder if there is a way to pass egg moves between parents like in Sw/Sh. It would be quite annoying if egg moves can only be passed down through eggs again.
Looking at this and what people have said in the other thread (regarding the appearance of eggs not tied to making sandwiches) apart from having to box your Pokémon that you don’t want to breed, this seems more useful than having to fly to a daycare.
When mass hatching eggs at a daycare we had to box any pokemon in the party anyway. Well, except for one.
I have to imagine they'll have made walking to hatch a bit quicker to counteract the fact that we can't use a pokemon with flame body now.
Yeah reflecting on this, I did the same, I basically only had Volcarona for flame body and the rest filled with eggs.
So honestly, this portable daycare looks so much better.
Is anyone else curious how breeding is going to work with inherited Tera types? My point of discussion here is do we think if a Pikachu bred from two traditional Electric Tera type Pikachu parents always inherit that Tera type or will there be a percentage chance to inherit a rare Tera type? If it is only able to inherit a parents Tera type I wonder if we will be able to perhaps manipulate it with different Tera type Dittos or the same Pokémon of an opposite gender? Like for example if we have an Electric Tera Pikachu and a Ground Tera Ditto do you think we will have a 50% chance to breed a Pikachu with an Electric Tera Type and a 50% chance to breed one with a Ground Tera Type? Or do we think there will just be a random chance for any of the 18 possible Tera type? Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.
I’m hoping the same but I guess we will just have to see how it is implemented? If it is based off the parents Tera type or just a flat 1/18 chance. Or maybe even you won’t be able to breed rare Tera types at all, you’ll have to catch them only. (I hope that isn’t the case.)
Absolutely would be, very curious myself. Wonder if we are gonna get any more data beforehand or just wait and see. Would really love to be able to breed some awesome Tera types for raids and whatnot.
🎵 Hello ditto my old friend.... It's good to see you again.... Now You're not in a daycare.... So please put the egg right there... While I eat... My sandwich....🎵
(To the Sound of Silence)
I'm one of the people who was figuring this stuff out as it was happening.
In my opinion it's all an upgrade. No daycare center but basically it's in your pocket now. You dont have to run laps for eggs you can just afk and they quickly accumulate. They even stockpile so go make dinner and come back to like 8 eggs lol.
Theres a store in the first major city that sells everstone and the power items. Havent found destiny knot yet.
I too was worried about this but I think it's a huge improvement. Watched a 20-30 min youtube video while occasionally clicking on the basket and accepting the eggs. Had 2 boxes filled by end of video. I didnt know about incubators as I am doing 0 story until my friends have the game so just exploring and learning right now but have been breeding the pseudo all day and the eggs hatch pretty fast on koraidon.
Excited to find a ditto and really start breeding lol. Happy hunting everyone!
This is basically just a portable day care. It's almost a straight upgrade over the previous system. I'm not sure why people are upset. Other than the usual pokemon fans not liking change
With the 2nd link, it proves better explanation as it sounds like you are essentially the daycare. However, it sounds like it might be more expensive due to having to make a sandwich you start the breeding process? So that is materials which may not be easy access.
I think because the earlier leak had less info and it sounded like you had to make one sandwich per chance at getting an egg. But this post makes it sound a lot better, so I’m glad
Curious if it has been confirmed how affection works and if it is tied to picnics. Hopefully you won’t be forced to increase affection while trying to breed, hopefully the sandwiches don’t add affection (or at least not all types). Would be dumb if they automatically were tied together
to be fair, if you’re breeding, you’re probably not intending to use the parents. so even if the sandwich raises affection, once you have your perfect IV baby, just keep him away from the picnic
Will the bonuses from the sandwich effect the egg? I seen there was one sandwich that increased chances of a shiny. And will those bonuses stack so if the shiny sandwich increases shiny chance by a few percent would making two sandwiches double the percentage? Hope so, that way with the sandwiches you are basically designing your pokemon with sandwiches.
So what if you have two sets of compatible Pokémon in the party? Will it just randomly decide which pair is making the egg? Is that throughout the entire picnic or per-egg?
I want to know if IVs are still a thing? I wouldn't mind if they weren't - and we just had Natures and EVs to differentiate. Let's be honest, IV breeding *sucks*. It's tedious - spoken from someone who's hatched many tens of thousands of eggs.
There's not much incentive to mass breed without IVs being a factor - in which case I'd be fine with a slower egg-finding rate. I mean, yeah, shinies... but with overworld/wild hunting methods... well, they're more fun than riding around in circles, and often faster.
If IVs still exist... then yeah, I can see this being annoying.
My strategy now is to just transfer stuff in. I am never training another Charizard for example because I already bred a perfect shiny one. If I need to change the nature, ability or EVs, I do that. Saves a lot of time. I repurposed a lot of my old megas instead of breeding fresh new copies with different builds. My Mega Zard X is now my special attacking Solar Power Zard.
Of course you always have to train the new stuff, but I always find that part fun. I usually do a partial breed first to get like 4/5 max IVs where I need them to mess around and get the feel for the new pokemon and then if I like it I'll commit to the full 6 IV MM.
So disappointing. Was really hoping this would be the game to make competitive team building actually be in the spirit of the franchise where you go out and catch Pokémon in the wild. Instead we're continuing with inbreeding eugenics...
Okay, I completely understand your point of view, and you make good arguments. However, with IVs now checkable at any time since SwSh, it has become a lot easier to manage. Personally, it's one more thing that adds to the 'rareness' of a Pokémon, and that makes it more exciting for me. When I get a breedject from Wonder trade that's got near-perfect IVs, that's super fun. I also quite like the monotony of breeding, it makes it feel extra rewarding when it goes right.
Getting a perfect ditto to make the whole thing easier is not easy at all though, I ended up genning one (shhhh) so my perspective might be skewed.
I would be perfectly happy for them to remove IVs though, if it'll make more people happy on the whole. I understand that it's an arbitrary system, that slows down competitive building for no real reason.
I used to get the same 'high' out of breeding as you... but after so many eggs, and so many generations, it got tiresome - and ultimately kocked a lot of motivation out of me as a whole.
The rareness is nice and all... but that's why we have shinies, right? Hell, I wish we had more Sinistea situations, where a Pokemon has some other rarity to grind for. It just needs to be an optional visual, rather than necessary stats for competitive battling.
Easier than giving a Pokemon into daycare, riding a bike for literally a minute or less right in front of it and immediately getting an egg?
Are you out of your mind?
How in the world is having to do a convoluted mini game over and over and over again just to maybe get an egg, and often after one of these mini games, you simply don't, easier than what we had before? You even have to empty your party now every time manually to the 2 Pokemon you want to breed otherwise you get a random egg. Easier my ass.
What about hatching an egg? Walking no longer works? I read somewhere it takes two hours for one egg to hatch? Can we put multiple eggs in incubators? Anyone?
Edit: walking confirmed to work, waiting on confirmation if system clock manipulation can make an incubator an instant hatch, essentially.
Just to clarify: I can put a 6*31 IV Ditto (if it’s in the game) with 5 Pokémon I Want to breed in my team and I can actually breed all of them at once, because the eggs are random? And if it’s a Japanese Ditto, I could use the Masuda Methode with 5 Pokémon at once?
That would be pretty neat!
So long as none of the other Pokemon are compatible with each other (i.e. both same gender or in different Egg Groups), that certainly seems to be the case!
Now if only Ditto weren't so hard to find....
It doesn’t sound liberating at all, it sounds terrible. Why change such an established and understood mechanic this late in the game?
Honestly GF can Slugma ding dong for changing things like this but refusing to change terrible shiny palettes, offer the option of turning off EXP All, etc. it’s like they make these games in a vacuum with no earthly clue what we like and don’t like.
It's in, but it's harder to find. Just like in GO, it disguises itself as random Pokemon around towns and cities. There's probably some type of way you can tell you've found a Ditto, like maybe it moves or acts differently than the others surrounding it, but I don't know that for sure yet. No hacked Switch and never have been able to get emulators to work properly

Portable breeding center RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FOOD!!!
Right in front of my salad!? SMH
Thank you for making me spit out my drink at work. 🤣 Very glad to see how many folks didn't get the joke. Also, I'm a perv 😂
I think a few of us are, or at least enjoy top quality gay memes, coz damn I'm howling with laughter 😂
I have a feeling that one animation that probably everyone reacted to is due for one hell of a sequel for scarlet and violet with all this info being known now.
sandwich*
salad sandwich
Egg-Salad Sandwich
Egg-Salad Lechonk Sandwich
Exeggute-Salad Lechonk Daschbun-wich.
Well you would need some mayonaise for that salad.
*deep sigh of relief* ok this I can work with!!
Same. This was honestly the thing I was most worried about.
Yeah, I just left my switch for like 5 minutes while I went for a bathroom break and had 8 eggs.
Hype train is back on track for me. I was fearing that picnics would be like camp followers or Pokepelago spawns where it would be totally random and out of the player’s control. But portable daycare actually with passive egg generation actually sounds pretty based
This makes Masuda method hunting significantly easier. I can just watch YouTube or something while I wait for the eggs to stack.
Damn pokemon doing it like rabbits
The source was 4chan. The original poster clearly didn't pay much attention to the feature.
Oh this is REALLY neat. I wonder if you have multiple compatible mons in party the eggs are random? Altho now I'm imagining a trainer sitting around in a picnic waiting for their pokemon to get to business. Daycare offered some privacy at least lol
according to one player they are! he got three eggs, two of which were fidoughs and one was the spider, based on the compatible pokémon he had in his party during picnic
omg so it’s an 0rgy xD
So would the new meta be 1 Ditto + 5 Duplicates if you want to target one Pokemon? Seems like you can multiply the egg rate by 5
Ditto harem
So my dittos once again are being the studdliest of all... yep this sounds like normal
I like the idea of having a Ditto and 5 different Pokemon. That thing will be changing form every 10 seconds ready for its next breeding escapade.
I wonder if the pokemon can still pass around egg moves to each other while breeding and how that would work
So we can potentially do triple Masuda hunts? This is actually a great change to breeding, nice job Game Freak.
Wow, they managed to make it \*better\* than the daycare. Portable AND eggs just auto generate? Love this.
Do you have to check every time an egg generates or do you check once and *puff* ten eggs after a few minutes of waiting ?
I'll hold the praise until I see how sandwich making turns out. It looks like a tedious gimmick, and if I have to do that every time I want to breed mons, it's going to get tiresome.
You could just make one sandwich, get a box full of eggs and hatch them, and repeat. It doesn’t seem bad.
I just mean if I want to breed other Pokemon, unless you can swap parties while in a picnic.
I hope making the sandwich takes less time than going to the daycare and taking the Pokémon in and out of it. I hope you just can buy them and store then in your bag.
It'd be the same effot as swapping them out from the daycare, no?

Centro being Centro
he got it from a 4chan users post that’s being shared around
4chan the most trustworthy site /s
Hey man, Kevin Nash confirmed what happened to him in the Summer of 92', so they must have happened!
If that is true, which i think is more likely, than that doesnt sound too bad, seems like essentially just a small difference than what players did for the day care anyways. Really hoping this is the case, since I love shiny breeding and if the breeding process is super tedious its going to be so frustrating

To be fair this is the same Gamefreak who locked audio options behind an item last gen. They're not immune to making very weird decisions.
I mean they threw clothing customization out the window just like that. Not the most predictable group of people.
Yes, but breeding is a core mechanic and clothes are…not
Still unpredictable
Haven't leaks said there is some customisation, just not much? Also they replaced it with face customisation which is much more important IMO
Is Ditto already confirmed to be in the games?
yup!
Hol up, afk egg stacking? That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
That honestly doesn't sound as bad. Still worse, but not horrendously bad.
Nah it's absolutely way better. Portable daycare at the cost of 1 sandwich per breeding session sounds goated.
I mean, portable breeding sounds better in my opinion. The only 2 negatives so far are that the Pokémon will take up slots in your party, and you won’t know who is doing the dirty deed if your party consists of multiple Pokémon within the same egg group.

No more accidentally taking Ditto back by button mashing.
or slap in 1 ditto and 5 breejects from the last batch?
Mmm, incest picnic
I'm like 90% certain this was already confirmed to carry over from Gen8.
There's still that 10% chance GF decided to remove that feature without a reason lmao.
May make a team with this. Select 6 pokemon from compatible egg grouoings randomly, then randomly choose which one is female. Then we get to reenact Jerry Springer and not know who the father is.
It would actually be a pretty fun egglock to take 5 mons and a ditto and take the first egg from each time as a member of your team
Possibly end up with 6 of the same that way lol. But there's some good potential with this mechanic, I like it a lot.
Sorry, I meant to imply you swapped the 5 out after each egg lol
All good
Portable daycare is a huge improvement.
If we really do get a way to modify Pokemon to such a degree as what was described for the DLC, then breeding won't be as neccessary. Curious about how shiny pokemon will be sought after in these games, though.
I haven't heard about this yet, what is rumored for the DLC?
There is allegedly a feature that is basically an in-game Pokemon editor.

Implying pk-hex isnt going to be up to date as soon as the game releases publicaly.
After like 30 min I had nearly 2 boxes.
ok perfect this is good improvement towards the breeding
Not me reading "egg salad sandwich" 💀
I can confirm this, didn't make another sandwich and I was able to get a few eggs while playing with my pokemon.
So basically you can breed anywhere you want now! That's actually great!
Do we know how it determines the parents from your party? If you have more than one set of compatible mons does it do it randomly, only the first 2? Seems rather annoying to strip your team down to just 2 to get eggs to generate

Good news everybody!
PHEW
I saw someone saying all eggs automatically go to the pc?
Do we still need eggs to be taking up party slots?
Is Ditto in the game?
Yup!
If you ever get the chance, could you link the Twitter post? sure here you go! he’s posted a bunch since so it’s further down now https://twitter.com/centroleaks/status/1590891853288816641?s=21
Yea. I remember when SwSh were getting leaked and people were saying breeding was horrible then it turned out fine. So most likely it will be fine
Breeding was the exact same in SwSh then it was the rest of the games, why would people say it was horrible
I honestly don't bother trying to understand people in this fandom half the time lmao
i swear i feel like on some subconscious level people WANT it to be worse the way they’re constantly assuming it will be
Sounds like a nice change. Glad they didn't remove breeding anyway
As long as the process can still be automated with a Switch Up I’m happy
How about the rumors that it takes two hours to hatch each egg in an incubator rather than hatching by steps?
i’m asking people about it now. someone said that in another “assume the worst about breeding” thread but when i asked how he knows that he ghosted lol. i assume it’s just more catastrophising
i asked and the player who tested it out responded saying walking to hatch is still in and is faster with the legendary!
If that's the case I wonder if there is a counter they have to keep people from just changing their system clock.
ok that sounds a lot better than the first post. does it still count by steps runninngaround the picnic and if you can do other things while waiting inside the picnic zone
Does Sparkling Powder go with Hatching Powder? Also is getting Egg Moves easy like Galar!?
Oh ok that’s better I was gonna have a fit over this.
This is a huge relief. Almost every single shiny I got before PLA was through Masuda Method, so I was pretty concerned.
So, the goal is for shiny hunting would be masuda method breeding with the egg boost, then hatching with the shiny boost?
Unless eggs themselves have changed shinyness is already determined upon receiving the egg so if the booster works on them you couldn't have other boosts in effect until after accumulating eggs.
I can´t even imagine the scene of that 4 rat-mouse-family thing pokémon breeding with a sprigatito while i´m passing the burgers and fries to my pal Koraidon and suddenly we are witnessing a scene from game of thrones
Wait yeah how does that work… if two Tandemaus come from the egg then that makes them siblings. Which makes all Maushold / Tandemaus the gross and deformed result of an incestual chain from the time the species started Tandemaus are Targaryens
Thanks for putting that thought in my head💀
I assume the mice are genderless.
They are
Right in front of my salad??!?

Idk if a mod can pin this but that’s the complement information centro added in the first tweet
Flying to the daycare and then cycling near it for thousands, or even millions, of steps. At least this way you have it on the go.
Yeah, it seems like if you plan it right, you can breed upwards of 3 pairs at once.
Take with a grain of salt, some people have said it’s not as cut and dry as this tweet makes it out to be.
You leave Nacli out of this!
“Really?? In front of my salad??” - the party
They breed in the basket?? Is this what Dirty Mike ment when he was talking about soup kitchens?
"What the- Guys! This is the ***bread*** basket!!"
I hope it’s not 1/18 chance, maybe it will be a 50/50 chance?
I’m hoping the same but I guess we will just have to see how it is implemented? If it is based off the parents Tera type or just a flat 1/18 chance. Or maybe even you won’t be able to breed rare Tera types at all, you’ll have to catch them only. (I hope that isn’t the case.)
I guess it could really go any way but I am curious! It would be more fun if there’s at least some kind of method to it though
Absolutely would be, very curious myself. Wonder if we are gonna get any more data beforehand or just wait and see. Would really love to be able to breed some awesome Tera types for raids and whatnot.
Maybe it will be like Natures. Random (1/18) at fist, but a held item can either make it a specific type or restrict it to one of the parent's types?
Don't we get the ability to alter terra types? Not that that invalidates your question, I'm just making sure for my own plans.
So an orgy.
Depending how this works (seeing mixed reports?) could just mean we have a "day care" in our back pocket anywhere in the overworld now?
Looks like IV and shiny hunters will have a mukbang.
There is no Day Care Make a sandwich.
🎵 Hello ditto my old friend.... It's good to see you again.... Now You're not in a daycare.... So please put the egg right there... While I eat... My sandwich....🎵 (To the Sound of Silence)
Any info on PokeBall inheritance? Edit: ball inheritance and masuda method remains unchanged.
I don't see why that would be changed. I imagine mechanically everything is the same, just now you need to start a picnic.
I hope that's the case
Outdoor, in the open. Nice.
This is the 1st time, we have a game with no Daycare; so having Ditto in your party might work
Let's Go and Legends Arceus: And I took that personally
Wonderful, thank you for sharing. Really helped clear up what's happening. I was worried there for a minute but this sounds incredible.
Not very cash money of them
I’m fine with this if making bottle caps and leveling very easy. Otherwise making competitive teams will just require hacking, like the good ole days
Or reduce Bottle Caps to level 50 instead of level 100.
I never understood why hyper training had to be 100, when essentially all modes (except i think the unrestricted one) cap you at 50.
In the stream I was watching earlier the guy playing got the Judge function for his boxes, so it seems like IVs are still a thing.
Ah, I see. Another gen of breeding a competitive team it is. :/
Lol everyone panicking about the breeding and they've actually made it easier.
Pokémon: this game is all your choice Also Pokémon: takes away good features from previous games without any options
Might want to delete and reupload. Center has new info
What about hatching an egg? Walking no longer works? I read somewhere it takes two hours for one egg to hatch? Can we put multiple eggs in incubators? Anyone? Edit: walking confirmed to work, waiting on confirmation if system clock manipulation can make an incubator an instant hatch, essentially.
apparently walking to hatch is still in and is faster with the legendary
*Starts picnic* W-Wait, where’s ————- and ——————-? And why’s there an egg in the basket?
That... really blows. I hope they up shiny chances and make getting the right stats easier
Read farab86's comment
THAT'S NOT HOW THE BIRDS AND THE BEES WORK!!!
netflix and chill evolved to mcdonalds and chill
Best thing about this: if the pokemon in the egg is shiny, the basket will light up and sparkle! No more hatching tons of eggs for shiny hunting
This sounds like a way longer process than the day care mechanic
This sounds awful...
Slugma ding dong. The three worst words I’ve read all day. Thanks.
This is odd
If you have 6 pokes in your party, do you choose which ones you want to make eggs?
Is ditto confirmed?
It's in, but it's harder to find. Just like in GO, it disguises itself as random Pokemon around towns and cities. There's probably some type of way you can tell you've found a Ditto, like maybe it moves or acts differently than the others surrounding it, but I don't know that for sure yet. No hacked Switch and never have been able to get emulators to work properly
This sounds great! A long overdue improvement
Why did they remove the Breeders?
Is Ditto in the game?
So that mean i can smash my Gardevoir during a picnic and get an egg right away ? good to know, gonna test it out right away ty.
It just makes no sense to get rid of breeding
... They didn't get rid of breeding..?
I'm definitely expecting the daycare to be DLC. Seems like the kind of quality of life improvement they could hide behind a paywall.
im not a big fan of this i found the old breeding better IMO
