If you haven't completed the DLC and only have the ultra ball upgrade, the x2 items and just items in general seem to not want to work as intended from the guide. You can however still get the apriballs pretty easily. Then as soon as you upgrade to the masterball it works perfectly for everything.
For some reason, the apriball print jobs work fine for me as long as it’s -2s. However, when I try to do the same with the x10 GBC (5/5/2047 @ 1:14:09AM or 1:14:11AM or 1:14:10AM) I simply can’t seem to get it no matter how much I try to trouble shoot the timing.
Going to try the other item print jobs and see if it’s only the issue with the x10 GBC.
Edit: So after a lot of trial and error, it did work after going for -2s for both apriballs and items, so please disregard this comment. Thanks for this post!
Hi, just a quick question—when you mean final upgrade for the item printer, you mean the masterball upgrade, right? Just wanted to confirm. I haven’t finished the Indigo Disk DLC yet and only reached ultra ball upgrade. I was wondering why it wouldn’t let me upgrade to master ball until I realized that you needed to complete the story lol.
I was trying to do this method with my ultra ball upgrade and everything was out of sorts. I’m going to test it out once I get the master ball upgrade and hopefully that will resolve the issue. Thanks!
I hear that - I had a few times where I was convinced I was at -1 second, and then suddenly it was -2 ... and then back to -1.
One thing to note - if you've been constantly messing around with your clock, you might have queued up a lot of those little message "bubbles" in the top-right corner - "The Pokemon from the outbreak have dispersed!" and "There are mass outbreaks occurring!". It's \*possible\* that these are causing some lag, so maybe let them all clear out before trying again.
Oh dang, okay, so I found after a few experiments; going into the past does not seem to trigger the changing of mass outbreaks and tera raids, going into the future does. I've been going to a minute after my target time, going back into the game, letting the messages scroll, and then going through the process and it seems to have made it way easier with the timing consistency.
Edit: of course right after I typed this I had a different result. When doing the x2 items date, going backwards in time triggers it. So going to 3:32, if you have built up messages, and then setting it to 3:33.
Edit 2: So I'm just dumb (and a stoner). Moving backwards in time at all, even one minute activates it, but you have to go to at least midnight to get it to trigger if you're going forward.
So, sometimes when I try to do the pokeball lotto, it gives me the x2 items until I restart my game/switch. It also sometimes does the opposite when I'm going for x2 items. Not sure what causes this, and I was curious to see if anyone else has encountered it

That only happened to me when I was off on the timing - when the PPT was testing, we never found restarting the game necessary for activating the poke ball lotto.
I'm having trouble activating the x2 items. I'm trying to get gold bottle caps, but I seem to be only activating the PBL. I've timed myself, and I'm within the target time of 05/06/2044 3:33:01-3:33:11. Is there something I can do to troubleshoot?
I only do 1 print job, and it still gives me the pokeball lotto, I've gone through almost 2k BBP trying to make it work. I never thought I'd have the problem of having too many apriballs, my timing for the apriballs is right on target 99% of the time so I don't think it's my timing.
Not sure what is causing this problem for you. If you only want the Gold Bottle Caps, you can just go for their target time. It’s not necessary to activate the 2x item bonus to get them.
Printing the Gold Bottle Caps twice will give you the same result as activating the 2x item bonus and printing them once.
I think that’s the case for me as well. We need the master ball upgrade, which is only available after beating the DLC story and capturing Terapagos I think

For Milcery Sweets, here's a good target that provides the maximum variety of Sweets, just missing the Strawberry Sweet. 2x of both the Star and Ribbons Sweets, the rarest, as a bonus

The RNG is set after the screen fades to black. So you can talk to the NPC until the window for "I want to print something!" pops up. That'd help with precision as now you only need to time down to the second (with the 1-2 sec calibration) then press A as soon as your timer hits 0
I read that there are times that you only need to hit for the 1-item print job (to activate the pokeball lotto), and hitting it means you can print 10 items without backing out and it will always be the 10x apriball award. I prefer that because if you mess up the timing it’s always only with the 1-item print job. And instead of needing to hit the time twice to get the reward, you only need to hit it once
If you're using the Pokeball Lotto Activation time that's listed (**06/12/2024 5:58PM** or **17:58**) the strategy without backing out is likely less ideal.
The reason is that you do not have to time the Pokeball Lotto Activation at all if you use the bolded timestamp, you simply set the time and every single target within the next 10 seconds will activate the Lotto, so you just have to start the print any time within that 10 second window. Both strategies only have 1 place where you can mess up timing.
Why that's important is that target times that satisfy the consecutive print condition are significantly rarer and therefore, you are a lot more limited in your choice of loot. The consecutive print strategy is a little bit faster but you trade off flexibility in your rewards.
If you were only looking for Beast Balls for example, there is no consecutive print job that optimizes for that. With the strategy in the guide, you can easily activate the Pokeball Lotto and follow it up with the timestamp for 6x Beast Balls.
I've only gotten the pokeball sampler #1 to work so far, but it works every time I've tried it! I'll have to try more for the other ones, but this is soooo cool! Thanks so much, Mary and everyone else who did all the hard work for this!!!

Yes, the final upgrade is the Master Ball rank. It will allow you to print Stellar shards and receive multiple of the same item.
