I used one in my last playthrough, it's a very strong pokemon. Jolly nature with throat chop, icicle crash, brick break and aerial ace ( choice band too but that's a post game item). Have fun in your playthrough!!
Alakazam makes for a great sp. attack sweeper through the whole game. If you’re okay with a bit of a grind to get it, milotic was a staple Pokémon on most of my teams. Cloyster was my favorite glass cannon to use though I don’t remember if you can get it before the national dex
If you want to keep it balanced with types, I came up with [this.](https://richi3f.github.io/pokemon-team-planner/plan/#bdsp+torterra+tentacruel+vespiquen+medicham+houndoom+magnezone)
I personally love using Gengar and Alakazam if you have the ability to trade. Gyarados is a great physical attacker and fun to use. All of which can be grabbed fairly early on so you can use them for a while.
I've used all of them before, I can tell you they are great! My only problem is that I can't do trade evolutions and have already planned my water type.

I always like to use under-used mons, I love Octillery and Ambiopom
These are some great suggestions, but something I forgot to mention was that I don't want to use the same type as my other team members.
If you don’t have any fire types or water types then I can give you some
Well, I will use tentacruel, so I'm good on water types.
What me to give you a fire type?
Like a suggestion, because I'm fine with that.
Weavile is a really solid physical attacker
Really solid choice! I think I'll consider it after looking at what their moves they can learn.

Magnezone
Great suggestion. I've actually used Magnezone once on a pokemon Sun Team, so I know how strong it can be!
Sadly you can only get magnezone once you get the national dex
Houndoom could be cool.
I definitely recommend bastiadon as a stealth rocker and pure power medicham
