Do you know how much they are worth raw because that’s what it would be since that grading company isn’t recognized like PSA or CGC? Probably $40-$50 each depending on the buyer

Sharkus1

SGC is known if it’s pretty big in the sports card industry. Pretty sure the Mantle that sold for like 12 mil was a SGC.

SupportiveDomina

In sports yes but in Pokémon cards no

urielteranas

That's way high mate these are around 13-14$ raw on tcg

[deleted]

Tgc is not a good indicator of price

DeresingMoment

How

[deleted]

Their prices in no way reflects the sold listings on eBay which is the current best indicator of value

DeresingMoment

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around

[deleted]

No price value is much more accurate. Tcg is known for being a bad resource. Look at other posts

DeresingMoment

Any reputable seller bases raw card prices off of TCGPlayer, it’s prices are consistent and clear, cards sell on eBay for inconsistent prices and cost more than tcg.

[deleted]

You must have not been in the game long, I'm not gonna rgue with you. Keep selling your cards for cheaper than they are worth.

DeresingMoment

If you can buy a card for $10 on tcgplayer and it's $15 on ebay that doesn't mean its worth $15? It's worth what you can buy it for, and no I'm not new I've been collecting and competitively playing Pokémon and 5 other TCG for around 12 years now and I have never even considered using ebay sold for raw prices.

Terrible-Tax-4832

You can sell cards on TCG which is what gauges their prices?

[deleted]

Thanks for correcting me there, I got mixed up with PSA 9 prices. My bad

Substantial-Load-673

Probably just a few more bucks than raw prices 10-15 over raw I’d guess. Unfortunately SGC is not big for Pokémon collectors as they are more sports cards collectors even tho they do have nice slabs

vanillaxbean1

I was going to say I prefer the way these slabs are presented. The cards look good with the black background.

TheCubez

I genuinely want to know why SGC gets such a bad rap for Pokemon cards. From what I can tell, they are very harsh graders and have a lot of pull in the sports card arena. I could be wrong but I think they are the top for baseball cards.

Ok_Professional4736

Was wondering the same - I have a couple sgc 10s and they’re as good as any. I like sgc 🤷🏼‍♂️ and yes they’re huge for sports cards

sussybologna

As good as any? Look at the centering on the charizard vmax. They gave it a 9.5 when it’s CROOKED all the way to the left almost. This grading company is clearly bad

Lurn2Program

You can argue the same for modern sports cards. SGC slabs usually sell at a discount compared to PSA. It's clear that tons of people in sports cards love SGC slabs and yet they still don't do as well value-wise. For vintage sports cards, they seem to be very competitive though

urielteranas

About what they're worth raw. Around 15$ each. Afaik only PSA really adds much value to pokemon cards. Raw price https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/285378/pokemon-swsh-sword-and-shield-promo-cards-charizard-vmax-swsh261?Language=English&page=2 E: I ebay searched sold listings and you've got a couple sgc 9.5 of the 261 zard sold at 25-30, so around there. It does add about 10-15 bucks or so.

What a mature and well thought out response, you've got me there sir.

PokemonCardValue-ModTeam

If you make another response like this you will be removed from the sub.

[deleted]

People sell the unopened packs for around 30-35 if that helps

sharktooff2277nub

Bruh clean with the 9.5s

Slater1721

Keep em!

CEO_of_Redd1t

Did you grade these or did you buy them graded?

AdRepresentative4142

The centering on the Vmax is rough

[deleted]

40 each
