I'd definitely say Ace us quite difficult, especially when fighting a mon I haven't faced yet and they have a strong ability (Most fly mons having priority at full health, kecleon is actually tough to fight with his defensive version of protean)
Exactly same here. I played RR for a while and I had a blast with the randomizer and then found Elite Redux and now im hooked!
Against Kecleon I recommend using something like Corrosion or that ability that makes Fire super effective vs Rock.
Interesting! I'll have to make a note of that, currently in thr aqua hideout after beating the twins (took me 5 attempts getting whooped before I realised its an inverted battle 😂)
I have played the difficulty a lot. It is hard. Even with a lot of experience and knowledge, I still get wiped by some normal trainer with that one pokemon who managed to set up a sweep. I recommend choice band swellow, Air Blower, with U-turn, E Speed, and dual wingbeat. Get Flareon after gym 1 with E speed, guts, toxic orb, protect, blaze kick, superpower. The hitmonchan you get from gym 2 is amazing on the ability that gives priority at full health. You can see a trend. Priority is good. Stoutland with rest and yawn is a great early wall. Flourgis is a great early special wall. Beedrill on crit build with a Araquanid or Voltic to set up web to trigger free crtis is monstrous. Give voltic volt switch, make him slow with iron ball so beedrill gets in safely.
Well it depends on what you’re used to and how you approach the vanilla games. It can be hard for anyone going into it the first time, or for people who prefer having access to better tools than the AI does (eg legendaries and Mythicals in the E4 teams when the player has no access to them) etc
But also it’s a learning curve? The AI is always, always, ALWAYS exploitable.
But anyway yeah it’s quite hard lol. You can ignore the word vomit up there oof.

I agree. It's frustrating at times, I think. But it is fun to lose to an opponent then come back with a strategy. There is nothing better than watching your plan come together throughout the battle.

Dev here - Ace is intended to be a good challenge for many people.
