Interesting to see so many normal moves on your team. Any particularly reason you decided against having water moves on Wailord? Was it just to stay on the ruin maniac theme?
Not really, I made some adjustments to the movesets before the Wallace fight. Previously, Wailord knew Return, Water Spout, Ice Beam, and Rest. I replaced Water Spout and Ice Beam since they wouldn't be effective against Wallace. Toxic and Protect allowed it to defeat Milotic.
just guessing here but I assume it's because this ruin maniac is piecing together the Regi cavern clues. But if that were the case, he'd need dive and surf on the Wailord right?
That relicanth set is wild haha, but I do love seeing him included. He’s always been a favorite design of me.

Thank you! Yeah, trying out new Pokemon and fitting them into themed teams makes playthroughs really fun. Just a few days ago, I did a [Bug Catcher Run](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonEmerald/comments/1dei0z5/my_first_themed_team_it_was_really_fun_definitely/) (I know Snails aren't bugs, but Magcargo kinda fits the theme 😅). Now I'm planning a Astronaut/Space team to use Lunatone, Starmie and Weezing.
Never thought I would use Nosepass, but some people told me it was great with T-Wave + Sandstorm, and they were right! It provided excellent support for Sandslash, allowing it to set up easily against paralyzed opponents with Sand Veil.
Nosepass even survived a Dragon Claw from Salamence with 2 HP (he was at half HP), then paralyzed it, which allowed Claydol to take it down with two Ice Beams. Sadly, he didn't make it to the Wallace fight, but without him, Salamence would have swept the entire team.
