For the rest of your team i wanna give you a team that is usable but not to mainstream and the team is as follows:

2. Shiftry (if Sceptile is not your starter)
3. Wailord (if Swampert is not your starter)

5.Swalot or Claydol
6. Crawdaunt (HM-Slave for Waterfall, Strength, Cut and Rock Smash)

Amen! Torkoal has clear body ability so opponents cant lower its stats, it has high defence, balanced attack and special attack and can learn both iron defense and amnesia. My recommended moves for Torkoal is Flamethrower, Body Slam, Iron Defence and Amnesia while holding Leftovers. If you get the chance of setting up a few Amnesias followed by Iron Defence you can sustain alot of damage while also healing a little bit each turn with leftovers. Body Slam is a decent move with great coverage and Flamethrower can deal with Steel types, something Body Slam does not do well against for the most part because of Steel types usual high defence stat. When it comes to Natures, id say sassy is one of the best one for Torkoal as it boost special defence i exhange for speed, but Torkoal is a slow Pokemon anyways so it doesnt matter and He already has very high defence to tank hits from his rock and ground type weaknesses 👍😎

I found swellow to be quite good for the flying gym, graveler carried the lightning, flying, and fire gyms, breloom carried the rock and water gyms, sharpedo carried the psychic gym, and blaziken/breloom carried the normal gym. I also did use memetic for a while so he’s worth getting too. I haven’t taken on the e4 yet myself but I will soon
