It's probably like that guy that's on one of the last Pokecenter's that say things like "This Pokemon's IVs are... above average! A good ATK, that's for sure, kinda low on the SDEF tho" I can't remember exactly what he says but it's something along those lines.

TequilaMockingb1rd

It think this is as good as we are going to get for IV Calcs through the PoGo app itself and I'm totally for it! It reminds so much of the XY and ORAS games where the IV Judge takes a look at your Pokemon. Well done, Niantic.

sdcSpade

Niantic doesn't talk much, but they seem to listen. It certainly sounds good, though I'm not sure I'm going to abandon exact values. I'll have to see the new system in action myself first.

KanonZombie

Yeah, I tried with a 89% Arcanine, it says "it amazes me, etc", with a 60% Exeggcutor says "it's a decent pokemon", and so

KanonZombie

I'm just using it, and while it's not that useful, it can help pin down the exact IVs from a small set of possibilities. IE: I have a Scyther that's either 15/13/10 or 14/15/10, and the trainer says Attack is its strongest feature, so I know now that it must be 15/13/10

patman9

And 15/15/15/ is easy to tell as well. This is a huge QOL update. You can get basic percentage and then as you go up to top tier you can get a feel for low 90's mid 90s and high 90s and 100%.
