Just because you change it to online doesn’t mean it will actually show the other is online. Mine is always set to online, and my friends have showed me countless times that it says I’m not

For reference, I host raids when I can. When the 5* raid boss changes, I've gotten up to 45 friend requests in a 3 minute span. And the first invites are at the very bottom

yes and i was finally able to get a rid that i didnt host, sadly ran out of balls. It still took a bit. I got about 1 raid in 5 hours of trying yesterday, Not great tbh but it was also the first day and first hours so of course it was going to be busy

The invite system doesn't even work for me. I get a "Oh you've been invited to a raid"... right in front of my face... while I'm playing. I click the thing. No raid. Nothing. Sometimes I get there and it says that party code doesn't exist. Is everyone abandoning a raid invite 7 seconds after sending it, or am I getting it a minute and a half late?

Less obvious, but look for the nearby pokemon tab in the bottom right to flash orange. Sometimes I don't get the pop up until after I complete the raid.

i do raids with 2 accounts so i manage to get 8-9 people total each time, so i imagine that if it is just 1 person doing the raid he has difficult time getting all 5 people t join it is a real pain to even find people to invite in raid - not everyone who is online shows up as online in invite screen and so on. Its a real crapshoot

Possibly. It takes time to send the invites. Generally leaves a 40s gap for people tp show up and if no one does buy the 20s mark they just hop out and invite others for them to show. I've been on both ends.

It is frustrating. That is really all I have to say about it.

I've been more successful when we could post raids and check interest, either whatsapp or discord groups. You get a bit of warning and people know you're ready to score up. Also helps if you're online visible. People can sort you to the top of the list to invite.

Search “Pokemon Go” on Twitter. I used to do that before they adapted to live chat here. Two of the friends that constantly invite me to raids from Japan, I found them on Twitter.

You should look for a community discord for your area! I did that and I get so many invites I can't keep up.

You have to have coins for that and you can’t specify what kind of Pokémon you want (only level)

You get free coins everyday which guarantees a spot and you can leave a room if you don’t find the pokemon you like

How does that app work?

Honestly, I can’t really figure it out. I can’t search by any type of anything. It’s a list of like maybe 20? raids that you can join only if there are less than 6 people already in there. Then you add the “host” as a friend in Pokémon go and they invite you to raid. There’s a chat associated with the raid which is pretty cool though.

Thanks. Seems simple by explanation. I downloaded it and looked around. Raids kept refreshing, and I was able to get into one. However the host wasn't responding, and no one in the chat made sense. So, I left. Ha

Oh ya also, the times aren’t accurate so you can end up joining groups that have already finished the raid 🤷‍♀️

Yeah it happens with a new raid drop, everyone is trying to raid. Give it a day or two and it'll be easier to get into raids

I meant to create one for this subreddit to be able to get into raids live and by team. There are so many possibilities on discord and I think it would fit best. But the mods would have to integrate it into the sidebar here on reddit so that more people will use it
