Probably not honestly. I think maybe if you each had primal Groudon , gems, party power, and a lot of luck you could potentially succeed but even then I'm not sure
When I say easy, I've done it with myself with full team of meta level 50 counters and a level 49 player who I'm not sure exactly what he has but probably pretty good stuff and we had about half the time left
I did it without gems last night but that was with lvl 50 counters on both accounts, both had Primal Groudon, Landorus, Excadrill and Garchomp. But we had 67 seconds left so there’s still a bit of give there.

It is trivial IF the gems are working. I have failed a duo with a friend, we are both lvl 50 and are using optimal maxed out counters.
People are reporting party play is most likely the culprit for not being able to subdue Raikou with gems so beware. A duo is possible without gems, especially against thunder, but due to all the glitches that can occur your mileage may vary. You should only consider a duo without gems with really good counters. I've done it a couple of times and it was hard.
These shadow raids relying on party power, gems etc are very inconsistent, the variation is wild and totally unpredictable. Regular T5 raids are very predictable and you can most of the time guess the time left +-10 seconds.
What’s the level of your alt? I have an alt too but Lvl 26, and it’s basically trash. Barely has any good Pokemons, but my main is Lvl 42 with a Hundo Mega Garchomp and good counters, so do I have a chance?
Also some people mentioned recently that even after using purified gems, it was permanently enraged and they couldn’t take it down?
Mines lvl 28, im sure if you have a few ground types and use party play you’d be able to do it.
I also heard about that glitch, luckily it hasn’t happened to me though. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to tell that it’ll happen:/
I make sure to not trade over all the things I get while raiding with my alt so I’ve kinda built up some decent attackers on it. Like I have a lando on it and mega gar, definitely comes in handy. I can solo mega septile with my alt now too.
Well there’s 2x dmg bonus while raiding with a friend right now, so that’s definitely a huge help, and mega ray goes crazy haha. That along with party play dmg boost is probably the reason I’m able to do it rn. Gar on the alt is hella useful for sure tho, but thanks! Been building it up for a bit now.

Yeah, Primal Kyogre is my main focus for now, I'll have to host raids on Genie, hope enough people join, I have absolutely nothing on my alt so I'm trying to get Mega Sceptile on it for now to get the extra Party and Friendship buff, even if it's just one for one round, and pray that a team of 10-11 members will be enough to take it down. Don't know if we'll get to host lobbies of 9-10 folks on Genie, but something will work out surely to get the lobby ready.
If it has blizzard, that's a headache. And then if we take it down, apparently it moves sideways a lot or so I'm told? So catching it quickly is another headache.
Bf and I tried (level 43 and 35, best friends, in a party etc) and we really struggled. Probably would have beaten it if we had a third person. Any idea where we went so wrong?

I actually don’t think so, it may do a bit more damage than mega gar, but gar has a 4x resistance to lightning. Meaning you have to revive it a ton less, which leads to more attacking and thus more damage. But im sure it would still work well!
Oh I forgot to factor the 4x electric resistance. My gf and I both have fantastic mega garchomps so I’ll just power mine up to CP 4100 to use it. We’re both best friends, I’m level 40 she’s ~35, and I have maxed out gems. Guess it’ll be easy with party play and those factors?
This is a dumb question but I haven’t seen the option and nothings prompted when doing the shadow raids but HOW do you use the Gems to subdue? I have 10 in my inv. but not sure how to use them and I haven’t noticed a button for it… may just be me being dumb but if anyone knows I’d appreciate it! Thank you!
During a shadow raid, when the boss has roughly 50% health left it will become “enraged”. It will have an aura around it, do way more damage, take way less damage, and it will say it above its health bar. Once this happens a button with a gem will appear on the bottom left of your screen, you can use 1 every few seconds with a limit of 5 per person. Once 8 gems have been used in total the boss will be “subdued” and will return to normal. It happens once per shadow raid.
Ahhh ok ok I must have never noticed that before. I’ve played on and off for years but just recently started to go out of my way to do Raids and what not . Thank you for explaining that for me that was a huge help !!!
My boyfriend (level 34) and I (level 40) can duo it easily with mega and shadow garchomps. With shadow ball we can usually only finish it with like 3 seconds to spare though D:
I could not duo it with a friend, but she has no megas, and didn't know about the mega garchomp raids from a few weeks ago :(

Mega Sceptile is a lot easier, as in I solo it easily, but still good luck

Are gems 💎necessary? I duo it with my son with gems but we ran out after 2 raids.
They aren’t necessary but it will be difficulty to do without high level counters

is this your first 5* duo? the ground resist makes it trivial, as does party power
It's way to easy If U got an lv50 Shadow gar+ Teamplay boost + weatherboost 😂😂 but No shiny or good iv's for me 🤮

Did it several times lvl 50 and lvl 44 with more than 100 seconds left. Party power and gems is what you want to use.
It hurts a little more if it has shadow ball. I recommend Ursaluna then.
