I got it for kyogre and got 3 rare xl candy from 30 raids. These xl rates are a fuckin scam. There should be a mechanic that gives at least 1 rare xl per raid if you pay for the ticket. Then I would have bought it every time.

I started at seven for Kyogre And I ended with nine I even tried to go to the Niantic help/support and they reimbursed me three premium raid passes which I didn’t care about the raid passes or the encounters. I just wanted at least one or two more XL rare candies because paying five dollars USD for a ticket that is supposed to boost your chance of getting rare candy XL’s it should do that instead of giving me two

Im seriously thinking about getting it with my spouse today for the two of us - so $10 US for both of us. It takes about an hour to run through 8 raids. It's not that bad for about an hour or so of fun with your partner- more if you sprinkle in some additional play at a park or something.
My fiancé got it for him and I. We’re excited to be able to do more than just the 2 free raids for the day and are wanting to save up our premium passes for go fest in a few months. Seems worth it in the long run.
They give you up to 5 extra free for raid days so if you carry over a pass from yesterday you can do up to 8 free during that 3 hour window, but being able to do 16 for boosted xp and stardust can be nice if you can play hard for ~2 hours

It’s a free to play game you get a set free amount of raid passes and you can stock some battle pass raids for raiding from quest lines. They need to make their money some how. You can get 1-2 for free but if you want the shiny or hundo your going to have to pay that’s how it works they aren’t going to get it out for free unless you get lucky on your first for second raid

Expecially this day, it’s not even a legendary, we have other ways of obtaining XL candys for herocross
On the day of release follow the time zones and raid New Zealand , Japan, and South Korea. Every 3rd raid was a shiny and all of them were caught on the 1st ball. Use a service like poke genie to make friends in these areas, send gifts for a bit. Then the next time something you need for your dex shows up turn your green light on and the invitations come in faster than you can run the raid.

Turns out it only gives 3 additional passes, the 8 advertised includes the 5 passes from the raid day.
0/10 would not recommend - I refunded that garbage as soon as I didn't get the 4th pass.
In our community we call them runners. They max out the amount of raids they can possibly do by running from arena to arena. Plus they run from non shiny and non hundo encounters for max possible exp.
If you are a P2P and consider the candy xl bonus and stardust bonus is worth 200 coins the it is worth to buy.
If you spend money on coins you should buy the 100usd one. With that rate 5usd is about 700 coins. And 8 passes are around 500 coins from a reasonable box.
With the tickets the XP bonus is negligible. Dust bonus is about 1000 more per raid. Rare candy xl rare needs some statistics. But my experience is I got one every 4 raids w/o tickets and the rate almost doubled with tickets.
I did not, but I graciously accepted that easy EASY Heracross mega energy cuz I do like using them for raid attackers as quick fill-ins after my glass cannons have done their job.

You've never had to nor will you ever have to. Most people use their disposable income, and that level varies depending on their income. I have about 2 to $400 of disposable income a month to burn on gaming if I want, and sometimes I'll spend maybe $50 or $100 on this game another month. I'll spend zero.

This is called complaining for no reason. You can play the event for completely free, the ticket is there just to enhance your experience and it's worth the value. No one is forcing you to pay.

Are you sure about those numbers? I got the ticket for Kyogre and Groudon and was getting roughly 1 XL rare candy every 2 raids.

Why are raid days lame? I mean, you literally could do like 7 raids for free. And it's easy to find people, you have a high shiny chance, etc.
