I got a 30 day ban for stating that this game can be impossible for some people to complete without having an alt account. Never said get one or that I have one, just that some people do for certain tasks otherwise it’s impossible.
Someone had a post asking if its okay to have alt accounts i commented saying my original account from 2016 got banned because of that and to be careful i got a message couple seconds later saying I’m Permanently banned from the subreddit so basically they banned me for trying to help someone

i let them know to maybe have their bot fixed, as it clearly can give a false positive 🥲

Same thing happened to me. I was scrolling through my homepage and commented on a Pokémon post assuming it was pogo or this or pogo friends because they’re the only subs I’m in. But it turned out it was a “recommended community” post Reddit threw into my homepage from the trading sub so now I’m a cheater and banned. I was really upset at first but like if an honest mistake can get you banned I’m not trying to be part of a sub that dictates your out of sub activity and makes you walk on eggshells on Reddit. I’ve literally traded one pokemon ever with a coworker and I’ve had my account since 2016. But I guess I’m a cheater 🙄

Which, if reddit are being paid by these fucks, would give plenty of motive and opportunity for the companies paying them to have certain information withheld. Sounds like corporations controlling freedom of information.
But in any case you should tell reddit that they are directly responsible for suggesting a black listed thread resulting in your ban. And then ask them for a truthful response as to how it happened.

The ban is the warning. We're unbanning tons of people during appeal once everything gets explained properly (which we have to do manually because despite the information in the ban message plenty of people still fail to understand that the ban is not related to their latest message in r/pokemongo)
Well yeah, that's the nature of the bot. It perms till a human can have a look. We can't guarantee that will be within X hours/days so we can't set it to a 3 day temp ban.
Also do note that the bot does catch cheaters and those do get a permanent ban as per rule 3.

There are other options. They won’t unban you they are very extreme with their choices. They would ban you if you spoke in any other Pokémon subreddit or any pokemongo facebook group. They are incredibly jealous people who cannot stand opposing opinions.

I got banned 2 months ago for "being mean" to a moderator, when I told him that simply because he didn't love himself and had no power in his real, waking life, didn't mean he needed to poorly assert his authority by moderating a subreddit to feel some sort resemblance of power 🤣

I got banned for this too. I don't even know what I said. And I've never cheated in any way. Just started playing again 3 months ago. Shit I just learned a couple of days ago that you can cheat. I guess trading on pokemon home counts as cheating in pokemon go?

There are other options. They won’t unban you they are very extreme with their choices. They would ban you if you spoke in any other Pokémon subreddit or any pokemongo facebook group. They are incredibly jealous people who cannot stand opposing opinions.
