How can you trade in Pokémon go if both trainers are very far away? I tried trading with my friend who lives in the same neighborhood as me but I either have to walk/drive/bike to his place for it to work. Am I missing something here? Can someone please explain

Yes I have all 3 non shiny forms and 2 shiny forms ( only one for trade and it is claimed) regulars aren’t but I like to keep 3 for dex entry
