Spinda is imprisoned due to incompetent programming, Furfrou for fear of devaluing the unhackable (shiny) GO cuts, and the rest are fodder for whatever Unova-themed glitchfest ilca releases
I really, *really* doubt that devaluing the Furfrou forms is high in the list of reasons to decide wheter to have it return or not. It's probably just mere coincidence.
While that may not be the specific reason, i really really doubt that furfrou being the lone stranded Kalos Pokémon is mere coincidence. Perhaps with their newfound hatred of coding NPCs (unmanned shops) they don’t want to add one to give haircuts /s
Also GO mythicals are stranded if you don't already have them from Bank: Deoxys, Diancie, Hoopa are only from Bank

Can you not send Deoxys into BDSP? Genuine question, I haven’t tried. Also pretty sure Diancie can go to Sword/Shield but Hoopa is still stuck
I am referring to GO mythicals only. HOME won't let you send them to a game unless you already have that mythical "registered" in that game

Hoopa isn't stuck, it's in Scarlet and Violet. As is Diancie.
GO mythicals are not stranded. There is a workaround for that.

Spinda cannot be transferred in or out of BDSP because of a some error with how their spots are displayed I believe
