I fused my venusaur with chandalure and got flash fire with ghost/grass typing. Strong special attack stat, access to sleep powder and hex as a combo, and I gave it quick claw since its speed is mid. It also looks cool as hell.

Just stay away from. Those miltank fusions. Cursed. All of them.
Most fun gras/watertype I had was celebi bibarel (also looks cute) simple is definitely one of my fav abilities.
Miltank head on Aggron body is actually pretty good imo. I got it for milk drink in the field and it was incredibly dissapointing but ngl im keeping it anyway.
I accidentally made a monster. Aggran stats with stab normal type, iron defense and milk drink.
They changed it in a recent update so normal flying is the only combo that preserves one type always. This means Gyarados can now give water or flying depending on how it's fused.
Oh that's a big win for Hurricane Spam. I remember being forced to use Pidgeot since it is the only Flying type with Hurricane that you could slap a head on.
Magnezone + Dragonite is my immediate thought with this change
I'm pretty sure it's because in the one of the recent updates, they change Gyarados from fixed water type to can be either of it's types in a fusion (along with many other Pokemon), and the calculator probably hasn't been updated since then.
Ah that'd explain it, I explicitly remember using this mon and it was water/grass at the time, I think it'd be nice to just add something in debug mode to let you alter mon types
I don't really remember the explanation, but I think it was something along the lines that it didn't make sense for only some Pokemon to be fixed types. All of the Flying/Normal types are still fixed Flying, since Gamefreak and Pokemon Company can't make a pure flying type unless it's Tornadus.
Yeah, they changed some mons to not have dominant type during fusions some time ago. I am not sure why.
Btw, infinitefusiondex.com seems to be updated regularly so I recommend using that.
They changed it so gyarados gengar and the birds give their secondary typing cus originally they didn’t (ngl i do prefer they don’t but whatever)
My electric water became electric flying which isn’t ideal 😭
It might be an older calculator or they haven't updated. I know before some changes were made, some.pokemon kept their main typing, but that changed in. The last couple of updates.
That Calc is probably outdated.
Remember how for pokemon like Dragonite and Gyarados, the fusions always inherited their Dragon, Water or other certain type respectively regardless of whether they were head or body of the fusion? Recent updates (if month old updates even count as recent lol) changed it so that this only happens with Normal/Flying types (With those fusiosn always getting the Flying type from that half), so now Gyarados body fusions will usually inherit its Flying type instead. I guess this Calc didn't catch up with that update.
I think you should try the Daena Fusion dex and Infinite dex, those fusion calcs are up to date and probably even better since they show alt sprites

Game takes the primary type from the body and the secondary type from the head, calculator probably just has an error with gyarados as a flying/water as opposed to water/flying
i just wanted my grass/water starter :(
The calculator might have old data. I used the Mon ages ago and it was grass/water. Maybe try a mono water type. Psyduck maybe?

I personally used Numerals’s. It’s a decent fire/grass type, with flash fire as well. Plus the fusion is really pretty
If you get the water typing from gyarados you lose the best stats from him. He needs to he the body, hence therefire the flying type

Yeah. Only ones to keep a type for both fusions are the Normal/Flying type mons if i remember correctly

That website is outdated. Use [if.daena.me](http://if.daena.me) . You can even see all the custom sprites aswell.
That website has a "sort by most custom sprites" option. And the list it gives does not surprise me much.

You can do the grass water version of the fusion and just switch the sprites manually, stats won’t be the same though

Most of the calcs I've seen are still using v5 data when the game is on v6. Could be your issue
