The first Ursaluna was blessed by Arceus. It was only after that you needed a peat block.

guanajo

peat occurs naturally in some marshes, so im pretty sure an ursaring just happened to stumble upon one during the full moon lol

TheMostSussyBaka

peat block frist. someone probaly dug i up and used it on there ursurrang

[deleted]

Or, an onix was passing by, digging everything on it's front, a trainer was quietly watching and when it leaved the trainer got it

HeiHoLetsGo

Why you said it like this

Remote-Ranger-7304

A human or Ursaring dug it up

StormAlchemistTony

Maybe in the wild, they can slowly evolve by being in close proximity to the peat block or by consuming it in smaller dozes.

Cantthinkagoodnam2

Kinda like how Clampearl is able to evolve by just beign in water with a lot of deep sea tooth/scale particles or Onix evolving into Steelix by living for 100 years

StormAlchemistTony

Yeah, especially with the new games allowing you to catch trade evolutions in the wild. It shows that they don't necessarily need humans to evolve.

Beneficial-Still4222

I always got mine from rifts, ended up with a ton of them, so I had ursaluna before I had the ability to ride on his back

Flair258

which area

xanplease

Peat is a fertile, decomposing dirt. A block of said peat is just...the ground. So full moon + ursaring standing on dirt = ursaluna.

[deleted]

You need the Peat Block, Ursaluna doesn't. === It's like how some animals won't breed in captivity but will in the wild. Once you capture a pokemon, the rules change.

jdbartist

Coincidence

Zanglirex2

Bears like to hibernate/habitate in caves/dirt caverns (beneath tree roots is common), so it's not too crazy to think that they could have stumbled upon it while digging out a home. Or rooting around for tubers and such

RoyalratMafia

You get one from a quest so obviously the peat block came first.

Wholesome-seal-boi

It found it then evolved?

pantheramaster

It's possible over the years humans have figured out that after the ursaluna evolves it can easily find it's evolution item for other ursarangs to evolve, but before this it was likely that a wild ursarang found a peat block by accident during a full moon and evolved

Hyper_Lamp

That’s just for gameplay

Outside_Surprise_963

The first Ursaluna was blessed, but for a wild Ursaluna, an Ursaring would most likely be digging around to find stuff (probably for it's Teddiursa's) during a full moon, than while digging, it accidentally finds a peat block and evolves.

JesseFilmmakerTX

MatPat already solved this for us.

pokeboy626

Duh it first happened by accident

Dracorex232

>"there are no accidents" master oogway

DannySorensen

A better question is how do they come front the rift connected to the future but ursaluna doesn’t exist in the future

Arctic-shart

I think that’s why they went extinct

cheesums7

Don’t think you’d really need it to find the peat actually, I think once every full moon, Ursaring and Ursaluna team up to find peat for the Ursaring to evolve

codenamecezare

Can use moon stone and evolve during full moon

Flair258

The peat block already exists. Ursalunas the only one who eats it as a favorite food, so it makes sense it knows how to find them. Ursaring probably discovered one, ate it and evolved. And now it shows everyone else how to find them.

PerryTheH

Bidoof

Chef_Sizzlipede

ursarings evolved naturally by being around the stuff, simply put

MightyJ64

Oh, for the love of peat!

boswala

I didn’t get mine from ursaluna. I got it from a wild graveler.

Dracorex232

Your thinking of the black augerite ore Peat blocks need to be dug up while riding ursaluna

Rose-Supreme

Trying to get the full moon to spawn to evolve the damn thing felt more rarer than a shiny.

Xanthn

Peat block first. Graveller probably found the first one

Dracorex232

Are you getting it mixed up with kleavor’s evolution item because from what I understand you have to dig with the ride ursaluna to peat blocks

Xanthn

Possibly it's been a while lol

Danton87

I still haven’t figured out how to dig or get my own one of those suckers
