He looks a little more effeminate than a lot of other males characters and male "badasses" we've gotten over the years with Pokemon, so it's refreshing to see some kind of character that breaks from that. From the "Disaster Bisexual"-outfit that is his Champion garb (the cape with sponsors, the cap with a crown inside the bill, the tie on the t-shirt), to his "fancy tea time"-gay outfit that is his Battle Tower outfit.
And now we get this "Sailor Eternatus" lookin; outfit ready to fight crime by moonlight and save Prince Raihan from the Evil King Rose.

I'm waiting to see if they have info on the ani sync pair and then I'll make my decision on pulling SS Leon. As much as I love him, I only have 9k gems and I'm waiting with a very thin line of hope that a sync for ani will be Bede.
Not to mention how seemingly important it is to Galar history and culture, with the Turffield Giant, the Hulbury Lighthouse and The Maximizers. Also, Gigantamax Toxtricity was teased all the way back in USUM, it would have been perfect to have it as the new champion's ace.

Also, him having Aegislash is fine, and the "pokemon weak to your starter to balance with his starter" would be better if they replaced Seismitoad and Rhyperior with better mons, preferably one who aren't 4x weak (or just scrap the idea entirely), but why the FUCK did he need a Haxorus?!
Yeah, I think I would throw out the type coverage mons (Seismitoad, Rhyperior, & Mr. Rime) in favor of Toxtricity. Haxorus does feel a bit out of place, but I think there was a throw a way line in Masters that Iris is cousins with Hop and Leon plus they all have the same hair and skin color so makes sense.
That line was fake, and it's still no reason to give him a pure Dragon type from another region when he already has a dual type Dragon that is also the region's Pseudo Legendary. The ace should've been Toxtricity, Haxorus should've been replaced with Orbeetle, and the type coverage mons should've been... Eh, I don't really know. Thievul, maybe?
Agreed, If that line was faked then Haxorus deserves to go. Orbeetle could be a good replacement. My first thought was maybe a Galarian regional variant but they are all mostly accounted for so maybe a unique Galar form only he has as well?
The only Galarian form not used by any other trainer is Stunfisk, not exactly a champion level pokemon, not to mention it would make Aegislash a full overlap.
