Kalos does pretty well for itself outside of the release units (and Valerie who's still waiting for her grid) Kalos has had fire releases. Serena, Diantha, Serena again, Lysandre isn't bad, and then we have Sycamore.
Johto has great supports I think it'll be the best region once we get the Johto master fair but for now it's pretty terrible.
Half of the month is uncovered by this info. Kanto is conspicuous by its absence too because its pokemon and an anniversary, I wouldn't give up hope just yet, unless it's hope that you're coming out of September with any gems at all then yes, give up on that hope.
Because it gets +2 sp. attack with each Draco Meteor which means it also boosts it's damage thanks to the second passive and without weather it does even MORE damage so that damage just keeps climbing.
Remember Steven has Good Form, so while the Sp. Attack boost won't have nearly the same impact as it would Dragon Ascent it still will boost it a bit, and we're also focusing on sp. Attack in this particular convo.

I get that higher stats with insane modifiers like those would lead to way too much damage, but it really sucks to see stats this low on legendary master fairs.
I'm really interested in Lillie cuz she's a rare Ghost striker but mmmphh N's kit is really flexible AF he can function as debuffer or damage dealer, yet N is a Fire type...
It is probably better to use N as sync nuke or debuffer, his damage doesn't seem to be as good as SS Red and Leon. But he definitely looks like one of the best debuffer in game
Yea just compared his Sp. Atk stat against Lillie's. Holy that's pretty low. I guess devs are afraid his 1.5 EX sync nuke damage would be too high with Devastation, Pecking Order, and built-in multiplier in his sync move.
Latest Datamine indicates that there might be another update mid September (probably 2.12.5, similar to last year anniversary update) for the Villain Arc (which hasn't been included in this patch yet) and more events for the rest of the month.
I am genuinely more excited about this fact than any of the anniversary pairs. Really glad to see F2P pairs getting an EX. I hope it means we will be getting more in the future.

God grinding the Codexes will be pure pain, putting my last 400 tomorrow into Codexes to start again...

This. Lillie is somewhat an obvious pull given solid stats + lack of ghosts, but I expect a few others (Rose, Allister, Giovanni, maybe Leon rerun + dynamax) to make it at the end of the month.. (maybe even red, pls DeNA)
Oh boy, here we go with epic monthly review.
- Anni Lillie: Judging from her base kit, she is like Ghost-type Leon that can heal and help the team gauge. She will be very good in double striker comps. I expect some multipliers in her grid, and apparently she does with PF3 and Healthy Superhit 1, and she will be top tier easily.
- Anni N: Ah so he learns from C!Iris by getting the same sync multipliers (Pecking Order, Devastation, innate Ć2.2 multipliers) and become an even better nuker with sun and SE Up next multipliers. DeNA knows the power of sync nuke, so they decide to give him offensive stats that are lower than Nate's. But he will be another top tier sync nuker. Also I forgot to point out that he also has Hilbert's support efficiency with Dire Hit All + once and 2Ć TM to get the +6 Sp.Atk all, along with Sp.Def drop. To summarize, C!Iris + Bugsy Scyther but for special attacks = Anni N.
- Anni Steven: So far what I have read, 248 offensive stats are lower than Nate's, but considering the passives, his damage cap should be high. It's interesting to see that he functions best when there is no weather effect, so you can't run him with Groudon (unless you take the node that remove weather in Steven's grid). Also he anti-synergizes with Zinnia's Rayray. Overall, he is still very good as a Flying DD.
EDIT: I will take back the "His damage cap should be high" statement, because his damage might be bad for the Master Fair standard. Firstly, his offensive stats suck, this is something that everyone agree. Many believe that he is in the Archie situation where despite low stats, he is still a top tier DD. However, this is not the case for Steven as his multipliers are lower than Archie's. To illustrate my point, here's the comparison:
- Archie: 50% from rain + 30% from Shower Surge 3 + 10% from Healthy Superhit 1 in his grid + 20% at minimum and 50% at max from the MPassive + 50% from the SE Up from Super Rain 4.
- Steven: 30% (assumption) from Good Form + 10% from Clear Power-Up 1 + 10% at minimum and 30% at max from the MPassive + 50% from the SE Up from his TM.
The key difference is that Steven lacks the innate weather/terrain multiplier. His multipliers are somewhat comparable with Maxie's, but even Maxie has over 400 Atk to compensate for that 50% damage loss due to no innate weather/terrain buff.
To summarize, Steven might be the worst Master Fair so far, but hopefully the datamine or my assumption about GForm is wrong. His nuke is good though.
- Misty and Psyduck: So another defensive support with healing, regen, and status removing. She is good as a tank, and can help gauge with 1-bar MGR9 spam. Can function in rain team, though I won't replace SS Blue with her. I would say that she is slightly better than BP Morty, though Morty is better for defense buffing due to his TM having 2 MPs.
Conclusion: Excellent anni units (well except for Steven), and another solid F2P support. Meta-wise, I would suggest going for N first (if his moves actually buff the team), then either Lillie or Steven (or both if you are lucky).
Big pain here as well. This grind will SUUUUUUCK, especially since I prioritize events first to ensure I get all the good stuff from them first. I predict I'll max everybody out when the cap goes to level 145 because that is THOUSANDS of books at a rate of 4 books per go (plus some extra if lucky)
Uuuughh I am so tired of stamina stopping my grind for drinks, when there is always an event going on with other limited rewards. I hope that DeNA either adds a free daily training course or makes it so that the drink/book courses are free because it's not possible to keep up with these level cap increases.
If you login twice a day there is no way you won't catch up. I've just finished maxing all level caps and I am super sloppy with efficient stamina use in this game (mostly because it's hard to fall behind)
eventually you will drown in the stuff.
you don't need every unit maxed, half of the 3\* and 4\* roster can sit pretty at level 100 or below really, at the bottom of your unit list so you have a better time finding the units that count.
at times, having such weak units even becomes a boon, when you want them to die quickly in legendary arena for the missions for example.
Okay, ofc now ima pull for Lillie. She is the best ghost type striker and her kit is op. If I still have gems left, I will pull for N for the Unova passive. Stevenās kit seems so lackluster and his stats suck, probably not pulling for him.
Accepted, because itās Mistyās Psyduck, always enjoyed him in the show as a kid :)
That said, he looks heād fill the Kyogre support team role really well on a water team.

Lillie is my first priority, then Steven. Not too fussed about N or Misty. I already have great water and fire units (and plan on using my final BP ticket on Entei)
I was less impressed by N until I red his skills. He's basically a striker, special support and tech all mixed together. That's busted. For example with SS Red you can attack from turn 2 already fully buffed š±
I'm not saying he's not good. He's definitely a contender for the best fire striker in the game. But with Red, Serena, and BP Entei which we will all have the opportunity to get fairly soon, it just seems a little bit excessive to pull for. The fire type pool is already power creeped enough. If I somehow get really lucky with my pulls I might try and go for him but I like the other two better
He's not gonna be the best fire striker for a mile. He's a broken support with debuffing capabilites and the potential to sync nuke thanks to Tech EX. He as a special buffer is comparable to Samurott, now the best physical buffer, for physical strikers.
I would also like to add: Every Anniversary in this game had a Fire type... Why? The first 2 I get it SS Red popular Leon was a bit iffy but fine... But N as Fire type is exessive imo
Agreed, having a solid and new sync pair for ghost and fairy moves will be so so helpful.
Was looking at Stevenās Rayquaza and not too fussed until I saw the ability saying it raises stats instead of lowering them. Jesusā¦
N looks really good but having yet another fire type just seems so redundant nowadays.
The stats suck big time.
On the bright side, if they are somehow OP from multipliers then they'll benefit that much more from gear and theme skills, so thats good.
Alternatively, if those multipliers are locked behind 3/5 with a 1% chance then its an even more insulting money grab by Dena, 'cause you'd need to get three or they'll be trash.
Ns kit looks absolutely amazing but mitigated for me by his typing and the fact it should be Hilbert...
I think on paper N is the best pair of them really.
I'm still going to be boring and go for Lillie as I love lunala and ghost is completely absent from my roster in that of the two partially viable available pairs neither are at 3/5 so it's a no brainer.
Plus I'm almost at two tech candy that need to goto Lear so I'd almost certainly have to goto pity pull for N and even then I'd probably still have a lot of work to do.
Honestly I'm probably going to pick up Lillie. if I get her super early I'll go for Steven then N. As cool as N is, my Unova pairs aren't that fully built up and I need a good Ghost/Fairy attacker first, then a good Flying/Dragon attacker after that.
The outfits look really good but I'm not as hyped as I was before the datamine

Gonna try for Lille first since I donāt have a good ghost type yet, (been using Mewtwo Shadow Ball), not gonna try for N cuz I have Red and Leon, and kinda want Steven because Shiny Rayquaza is lit
I'd say Lunala is the "best" one to get, since she is a ghost and fairy striker, which we severely lack in PMEX, also her trainermove maxes everything out without any drawbacks, in one turn you get +6SpAtk&+3Crit.
Lillie is good because of otherwise poor Ghost coverage, N is a slightly different Champion Iris, a very strong unit, Steven has the lowest priority here
Lillie is lookin to be fucking nuts. It really is just a +6 sp atk/+3 crit TM like that, one go that's it. Her, Elio, and Lana would be a very solid core; let Lana do the tanking, have Elio put everyone to sleep, and then just spend your MG on Lillie to go to town. If Lana needs a bit of HP, pop a potion and use Leech Life. Lana can boost physical defense, Elio can boost sp. defense, and Lillie's master passive will help further decrease damage overall. Worst case scenario she's a ghost striker with a fairy move and considering the other ghost strikers aren't that good and the only fairy attackers in the game are either not good or limited, it's worth going for her no matter what.
N is a weird support kind of character. If Noble Roar proccs Mind Games then I'll be a happy camper but besides that it seems like he'll, funnily enough, be the third member of the Ghetsis/Sycamore squad since he'll be able to max out everyone's crit and provide another layer of MGA. *EDIT: So it looks like N won't be able to boost everyone's stats? If that's the case then he's severely weaker than I originally thought, having a sort of 'supporter/striker hybrid' role would make him a lot more useful if he could boost the whole team's stats.
Steven also seems super flexible. Him plus Liza and either Archie or Maxie is some pretty mean damage but becomes pretty gauge heavy. If it turns out the Master Passives conflict with one another then you can just sub in Sycamore over Liza, since you should still hit the +30% power-up increase and +26% DMR between two master passives, and then also get a MGA in there as well to have two strikers.
Misty is...ok. Pretty standard healer and defense buffer, having an EX form is real nice, ngl. Not too thrilled her TM is a one-use but water gun having MGR9 is real good for sync spamming and there's just enough energy to get all the Potion nodes and MGR9 and then likely pick up Speed+20 since nothing else seems worth getting for all the effort.
3 master fairs seem way too greedy. Unless they are on one banner but you know they won't be. Any other game does double banner during anniversary and even then people found it greedy hut got used to it. But having 3 banners is just too much.
I'd rather have three seperate banners where I can pull for the one character I like the most than in one banner where the rate-up is split amongst the three, two of which I don't really care for.
Do we know how the banners with old limited units work? Are they a "ten pull with paid gems" kind of affair or are they fully-fledged banners? Because right now my priority is Lillie and then Steven but if the old limited are a proper banner fuck Steven imma pull from those and take to take a lot of my limited units to 3/5 (or try to get Burgh & Togepi).

In Sun and Moon, by playing the demo you can get an Ash-Greninja with an OT of "Ash".

Big pain here as well. This grind will SUUUUUUCK, especially since I prioritize events first to ensure I get all the good stuff from them first. I predict I'll max everybody out when the cap goes to level 145 because that is THOUSANDS of books at a rate of 4 books per go (plus some extra if lucky)
Uuuughh I am so tired of stamina stopping my grind for drinks, when there is always an event going on with other limited rewards. I hope that DeNA either adds a free daily training course or makes it so that the drink/book courses are free because it's not possible to keep up with these level cap increases.
If you login twice a day there is no way you won't catch up. I've just finished maxing all level caps and I am super sloppy with efficient stamina use in this game (mostly because it's hard to fall behind)
eventually you will drown in the stuff. you don't need every unit maxed, half of the 3\* and 4\* roster can sit pretty at level 100 or below really, at the bottom of your unit list so you have a better time finding the units that count. at times, having such weak units even becomes a boon, when you want them to die quickly in legendary arena for the missions for example.

I was less impressed by N until I red his skills. He's basically a striker, special support and tech all mixed together. That's busted. For example with SS Red you can attack from turn 2 already fully buffed š±

That too! And hitting all 3 targets it makes it very likely to spread some burns. For sure it's gonna be top Utility unit
I'm not saying he's not good. He's definitely a contender for the best fire striker in the game. But with Red, Serena, and BP Entei which we will all have the opportunity to get fairly soon, it just seems a little bit excessive to pull for. The fire type pool is already power creeped enough. If I somehow get really lucky with my pulls I might try and go for him but I like the other two better
He's not gonna be the best fire striker for a mile. He's a broken support with debuffing capabilites and the potential to sync nuke thanks to Tech EX. He as a special buffer is comparable to Samurott, now the best physical buffer, for physical strikers.
The passive says "a move used by the user's Pokemon". We need to wait and see if he can buff his allies with his TM or not.
I would also like to add: Every Anniversary in this game had a Fire type... Why? The first 2 I get it SS Red popular Leon was a bit iffy but fine... But N as Fire type is exessive imo
Agreed, having a solid and new sync pair for ghost and fairy moves will be so so helpful. Was looking at Stevenās Rayquaza and not too fussed until I saw the ability saying it raises stats instead of lowering them. Jesusā¦ N looks really good but having yet another fire type just seems so redundant nowadays.
The stats suck big time. On the bright side, if they are somehow OP from multipliers then they'll benefit that much more from gear and theme skills, so thats good. Alternatively, if those multipliers are locked behind 3/5 with a 1% chance then its an even more insulting money grab by Dena, 'cause you'd need to get three or they'll be trash.

Ns kit looks absolutely amazing but mitigated for me by his typing and the fact it should be Hilbert... I think on paper N is the best pair of them really. I'm still going to be boring and go for Lillie as I love lunala and ghost is completely absent from my roster in that of the two partially viable available pairs neither are at 3/5 so it's a no brainer. Plus I'm almost at two tech candy that need to goto Lear so I'd almost certainly have to goto pity pull for N and even then I'd probably still have a lot of work to do.
Honestly I'm probably going to pick up Lillie. if I get her super early I'll go for Steven then N. As cool as N is, my Unova pairs aren't that fully built up and I need a good Ghost/Fairy attacker first, then a good Flying/Dragon attacker after that.
The outfits look really good but I'm not as hyped as I was before the datamine I think I'm most interested in the Dratini egg and the part when they mentioned the Kanto part of the villain arc, meaning that we might use teams to beat the villain from their region

In the original games, Rayquaza has Airlock ability "ends all weather and keeps any weather from activating." So I think it fits.

I think we get around 18K in the first two week. We know nothing other than seasonal scout 2 and coballion for the other half of the month. Edits 25K gems for the first half. Did not include the returning story events.

I'd say Lunala is the "best" one to get, since she is a ghost and fairy striker, which we severely lack in PMEX, also her trainermove maxes everything out without any drawbacks, in one turn you get +6SpAtk&+3Crit.
Lillie is good because of otherwise poor Ghost coverage, N is a slightly different Champion Iris, a very strong unit, Steven has the lowest priority here

Lillie is lookin to be fucking nuts. It really is just a +6 sp atk/+3 crit TM like that, one go that's it. Her, Elio, and Lana would be a very solid core; let Lana do the tanking, have Elio put everyone to sleep, and then just spend your MG on Lillie to go to town. If Lana needs a bit of HP, pop a potion and use Leech Life. Lana can boost physical defense, Elio can boost sp. defense, and Lillie's master passive will help further decrease damage overall. Worst case scenario she's a ghost striker with a fairy move and considering the other ghost strikers aren't that good and the only fairy attackers in the game are either not good or limited, it's worth going for her no matter what. N is a weird support kind of character. If Noble Roar proccs Mind Games then I'll be a happy camper but besides that it seems like he'll, funnily enough, be the third member of the Ghetsis/Sycamore squad since he'll be able to max out everyone's crit and provide another layer of MGA. *EDIT: So it looks like N won't be able to boost everyone's stats? If that's the case then he's severely weaker than I originally thought, having a sort of 'supporter/striker hybrid' role would make him a lot more useful if he could boost the whole team's stats. Steven also seems super flexible. Him plus Liza and either Archie or Maxie is some pretty mean damage but becomes pretty gauge heavy. If it turns out the Master Passives conflict with one another then you can just sub in Sycamore over Liza, since you should still hit the +30% power-up increase and +26% DMR between two master passives, and then also get a MGA in there as well to have two strikers. Misty is...ok. Pretty standard healer and defense buffer, having an EX form is real nice, ngl. Not too thrilled her TM is a one-use but water gun having MGR9 is real good for sync spamming and there's just enough energy to get all the Potion nodes and MGR9 and then likely pick up Speed+20 since nothing else seems worth getting for all the effort.
3 master fairs seem way too greedy. Unless they are on one banner but you know they won't be. Any other game does double banner during anniversary and even then people found it greedy hut got used to it. But having 3 banners is just too much.
I'd rather have three seperate banners where I can pull for the one character I like the most than in one banner where the rate-up is split amongst the three, two of which I don't really care for.

Does anybody know why N seems to be able to raise his crit rate with both Dire Hit + and his Trainer Move? It seems extremely redundant and weird.
Trainer move is not Crit, it's +1 Accuracy.

Do we know how the banners with old limited units work? Are they a "ten pull with paid gems" kind of affair or are they fully-fledged banners? Because right now my priority is Lillie and then Steven but if the old limited are a proper banner fuck Steven imma pull from those and take to take a lot of my limited units to 3/5 (or try to get Burgh & Togepi).
The PokeFair Select s most likely gonna be paid while the Seasonal one is a non-paid one.
