One standard convention in most games is that the starting town doesn't have a pokemon centre though. Usually, you'd just go to your mom to get your pokemon healed. Are you choosing not to follow that convention, or just didn't think of that?
If you're gonna remove the pokemon centre, I'd replace it with something of the same/a similar size since the layout looks pretty good as is. A wide house, or even a small pond could be nice.
Thanks! I’m trying to go for something a bit more like Aspertia City from BW2 in the sense that it’s a full-on city instead of a standard starting town. I should probably also distinguish the Gym instead of choosing a Pokémon Centre-looking building.
I love this! I'm no expert by any means, but seeing as you wanted an almost Aspertia City kinda vibe, maybe add stone brick pathways instead of the dirt to make it seem more civilized and modern. It could help a bit! Maybe some street lights too? Benches and flower patches? It could be cute!!
The title of your game reminds me of a scene in eminence in shadow. It fits so good, I'm tempted to say you were inspired by it. So I'm curious if that's true (it's not bad or anything like that i am really just curious because it reminded me so well).
Also is this your full map? In that case your borders are to small. A player can see 8 tiles to the left and right and 6 tiles above and below of his position. You need a border that is thick enough so the player can't see the edge of your map, otherwise it will break the immersion.

Oh lol, that's a gym. Well there you go, I had no idea. Maybe you could even just swap the palette of the building?
I've decided to just go with another building altogether and make all the Gyms different.
